Quintana (ribs) is scheduled to undergo a checkup CT scan Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

If the results show an encouraging level of healing, Quintana should be cleared to take the next step in his throwing program. He began playing catch on flat ground toward the end of April and would seem to be nearing mound workouts. The veteran left-hander required surgery in mid-March to repair a stress fracture on the left side of his rib cage and is not expected to make his Mets debut until closer to the midway point of the 2023 campaign.

Cueto (biceps/ankle) remains in no-throw mode as of Tuesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cueto suffered a sprained left ankle during his last rehab start May 6 at Triple-A Jacksonville, piled on to the right biceps injury that has been plaguing him since the spring. He has logged only one appearance for the Marlins this year and there is no timetable for when he might make his second one.

Carrasco (elbow) will likely return to the Mets' rotation Friday versus the Guardians, Abbey Mastracco of the New York Daily News reports.

Carrasco threw 52 pitches over four scoreless innings in his second and final minor-league rehab start Sunday with Double-A Binghamton. He's logged only 13.2 innings this year with the Mets to the tune of an ugly 8.56 ERA, but the veteran right-hander might be able to offer better results moving forward after receiving a cortisone injection for a painful bone spur in his pitching elbow.

The Mets optioned Peterson to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Peterson struggled in another spot start Monday versus the Nationals and now sports a 1-6 mark with a brutal 8.08 ERA through 39 innings this season at the MLB level. Josh Walker will join the Mets' bullpen in a corresponding move.

The Reds recalled Williamson from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

As anticipated, Williamson will make his MLB debut in a start Tuesday night against the Rockies. The game is at Coors Field and Williamson had struggled to a 6.62 ERA and 1.88 WHIP through 34 innings this season at Triple-A, so he's probably more of a wait-and-see type in fantasy. The 25-year-old left-hander could carry streaming appeal in more favorable matchups down the line.

Single-A Augusta placed Ritchie (undisclosed) on its 7-day injured list Thursday.

Ritchie was deactivated five days after he exited his fourth start of the season with an unspecified injury. Over 13.1 innings with Augusta this season, Ritchie owns a 5.40 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB.

Corbin (2-5) earned the win Monday, allowing two runs on eight hits and one walk across six innings during a 10-3 win over the Mets. He struck out one.

Corbin allowed three or fewer earned runs and completed at least five innings for a sixth straight start. During that stretch, the left-hander has posted a 22:4 K:BB across 36.1 innings. Corbin has been far from perfect, but his recent string of solid starts is a step in the right direction after he surrendered 14 runs over his first 14 innings this season. Overall, he sports a 4.65 ERA and 1.43 WHIP over nine outings (50.1 innings) and will look to make it four straight quality starts next time out, which is tentatively scheduled for a three-game weekend set versus the Tigers.

Peterson (1-6) took the loss Monday, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings during a 10-3 defeat at the hands of the Nationals. He struck out five.

Peterson has struggled in his second stint in the big leagues this year, allowing 10 runs over two starts (8.1 innings) while posting a 9:4 K:BB. The left-hander wasn't much better the first time around, surrendering 25 runs over six starts (30.2 innings). Overall, he sports a 8.08 ERA and 1.74 WHIP, but his 45:14 K:BB across 39 innings is encouraging. With Max Scherzer healthy again and Carlos Carrasco (elbow) close to returning from the injured list, Peterson may be sent back to Triple-A Syracuse soon.

Shuster was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett by Atlanta on Tuesday.

Shuster is set to start Tuesday against the Rangers and has a chance to stick around for a while as his team battles multiple injuries in the rotation. The left-hander has posted an 8.31 ERA and 5:9 K:BB over 8.2 innings in his two starts in the majors this season and has also been inconsistent at Gwinnett, so fantasy managers would be wise to take a wait-and-see approach.

Syndergaard (finger) struck out five and allowed two runs on four hits in four innings in Monday's 9-8 win over the Twins. He didn't factor into the decision.

Syndergaard made his first start since exiting his May 9 start due to a cut on his right index finger. The righty tossed 59 pitches to get through four innings. Syndergaard's first season as a Dodger has not gone well. He has a 5.94 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and has struck out just 26 batters in 36.1 innings.
