The Mets recalled Butto from Triple-A Syracuse and designated him as the 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader in Detroit, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Butto previously served as the 27th man for Monday's doubleheader with Atlanta, but he went unused after being called up prior to the second game of the twin bill. After being returned to Triple-A on Tuesday, Butto will be back with the big club a day later as the 27th man once again. He'll be available for both games of the doubleheader this time around before heading back to Syracuse.

Williams didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Cubs, allowing four hits and a walk over 5.1 scoreless innings. He struck out four.

The journeyman right-hander produced his best start so far in 2023, tossing 55 of 87 pitches for strikes and exiting with the Nationals ahead 1-0, but his second win of the year got snatched away when the Cubs tied it up in the top of the seventh. Williams will take a respectable 3.41 ERA and 1.23 WHIP into his next outing. likely to come this weekend in Arizona.

Matz (0-4) took another loss Tuesday against the Angels, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over five innings.

Matz wound up surrendering all four runs in the first frame. He walked Mike Trout, who came around to score following back-to-back singles, and Taylor Ward capped off the inning with a three-run blast to left field. Matz would settle in the rest of the way, tossing four scoreless innings, but he would not get the run support to help erase the damage done. The 31-year-old has yet to reach six innings and has given up at least four runs in four of his six starts this year. Matz now owns a 6.39 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 31:15 K:BB over 31 innings and will try to get his first win in a projected matchup with the Tigers over the weekend.

Urias (4-3) earned the win Tuesday over the Phillies. He allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out 10 over seven innings.

Urias' lone blemish was a solo home run he allowed to former teammate Trea Turner in the fourth inning. The Dodgers provided plenty of support for their starter, and Urias responded with his longest -- and arguably best -- start of the season. He snapped a three-game losing streak and now owns a 3.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 45:8 K:BB through 39.2 innings across seven starts this year. The southpaw is projected for a road start in Milwaukee next week.

Wacha allowed two hits and two walks in six scoreless innings while striking out three in a no-decision versus the Reds on Tuesday.

This was Wacha's second quality start in six outings this season. He threw 60 of 100 pitches for strikes and kept the Reds off the board, but Nick Martinez let a one-run lead slip away in the eighth inning. This was Wacha's third straight no-decision after he opened the year 2-1. He's struggled to a 5.46 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 26:9 K:BB over 31.1 innings in his first year with the Padres. The right-hander is lined up for road starts versus the Twins and Dodgers next week if San Diego keeps its rotation on turn.

Ashcraft allowed a run on six hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Tuesday.

In his first start after a stint on the bereavement list, Ashcraft turned in a positive outing. It was his fifth quality start through six appearances this season. The 25-year-old was also able to limit an opponent to one walk for just the second time this year. He's pitched to a 2.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB through 36 innings. Ashcraft still needs to display stronger control, but he's been effective so far. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Mets next week.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Stone will be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The Dodgers played things coy for as long as they could, but it's now official that Stone will make his MLB debut against Philadelphia on Wednesday. The right-hander ranks as one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, and he allowed just one run over his last two outings while forging a 15:4 K:BB. Stone has three pitches that can miss bats and has shown the ability to command those offerings, but those who are considering using the 24-year-old in fantasy should be aware of the risk that comes from an MLB debut.

Contreras (3-2) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs on six hits and four walks over 5.1 innings against Tampa Bay. He struck out three.

Contreras held the Rays off the board for the first three innings, allowing just one hit. However, he started to unravel in the fourth, allowing a run following a Randy Arozarena leadoff double before surrendering three more in the fifth and sixth innings. The loss snaps a run of three consecutive quality starts for Contreras. The 23-year-old right-hander now has a 4.09 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB through his first six starts this season.

Elder (3-0) earned the win Tuesday, allowing no runs on three hits over seven innings against the Marlins. He struck out six.

The Marlins had no answer for Elder on Tuesday. The 23-year-old right-hander held Miami to just three hits (all singles) in a season-high seven scoreless innings. Elder lowered his ERA to 1.75 with a 1.06 WHIP and 32:9 K:BB through 36 innings. While an 88.4 percent strand rate indicates Edler is likely due for some regression, he's been able to limit damage thanks to a 55.0 percent groundball rate.

Gallen did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits over five innings against the Rangers. He struck out six.

Gallen entered Tuesday with four straight scoreless starts of at least six innings. The Rangers scored in the first inning and then pushed across two more in the fifth, which was Gallen's last inning. The righty still left the game with the lead, but the Arizona bullpen couldn't hold on, keeping Gallen at four wins. Gallen is off to a dominant start with a 2.53 ERA and 0.84 WHIP in 2023.
