Luzardo (3-6) took the loss Tuesday as the Marlins fell 7-2 to the Rays, giving up five runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.

The southpaw's own defensive miscue in the fifth inning allowed him to escape with his third straight quality start, but this might have been Luzardo's shakiest performance since he returned to the rotation at the beginning of August. Despite Tuesday's stumble, he still wraps up the month with a 2.97 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 32:9 K:BB through 36.1 innings.

Keller allowed two earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out 10 across six innings Tuesday against the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.

Keller racked up a career high in strikeouts, backed by 14 swinging strikes across 105 total pitches. He otherwise primarily kept the ball on the ground, with his only blemish coming on a two-run home run by Kolten Wong in the fourth frame. Keller still has inconsistent results from start to start, but he has maintained a 3.50 ERA with a 48:15 K:BB across 54 innings in his last 10 outings. He also owns a 4.43 ERA and 1.46 WHIP for the season but should continue to get chances to stack positive starts out of Pittsburgh's rotation to close the campaign.

Webb (11-8) took the loss Tuesday versus the Padres, allowing just one unearned run on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings.

Webb was fairly solid, but the Padres were able to scrape together a run in the sixth inning with the help of an error. The Padres added on in the seventh and the Giants couldn't catch up, sending Webb to his season-high third consecutive loss. The right-hander still has a solid 3.22 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP and 137:46 K:BB through 165 innings across 27 starts this year. He'll look to snap the losing streak in a tough road start versus the Dodgers next week, which will likely be the first in a two-start week for Webb.

Snell (6-7) earned the win Tuesday over the Padres, allowing four hits, three walks and a hit batsman over six scoreless innings while striking out eight.

Snell was locked in for a start against an NL West rival, bouncing back from a six-run disaster against Cleveland last Wednesday. This was his third scoreless start in 18 outings this season. He got his ERA back under 4.00 (3.97) with a 1.33 WHIP and 124:41 K:BB through 93 innings. Snell is tentatively projected for a home start versus the Diamondbacks in his next outing.

Nola (9-11) gave up eight runs on 10 hits and a hit batsman while striking out five over four innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.

Nola allowed a five-run rally in the second inning and a three-run home run to Jake McCarthy in the fourth. Over his last four starts, Nola has alternated between brilliance and disaster. Tuesday's start was his worst of the season, coming just one turn after a complete-game shutout versus the Reds in his previous outing. Despite the inconsistency, the right-hander has a 3.43 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 190:22 K:BB through 170.2 innings across 26 starts this year. He'll look to bounce back next week in a projected home start versus the Marlins.

Gallen (10-2) allowed two hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings, striking out seven and earning the win over the Phillies on Tuesday.

Gallen's scoreless streak is up to 34.1 innings over his last five starts, and he's posted a 39:7 K:BB while earning four wins in that remarkable span. He's trimmed his ERA to 2.53 with a 0.94 WHIP and a career-high 145 strikeouts through 145.2 innings across 25 starts this season. Gallen will look to keep the streak rolling into September when he makes his next start, which is projected to be a home outing versus the Brewers this weekend.

Heaney did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Mets, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits. He struck out eight and did not allow a walk.

While he allowed seven hits over five innings, Heaney did not allow a free pass and thus limited the damage to three runs. In his 10 starts, the southpaw has recorded a sizzling 13.5 K/9 but has reached six innings only twice. Heaney now owns a strong 2.12 ERA and 1.05 WHIP.

Walker allowed three runs on five hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 5.1 innings against the Dodgers. He did not factor in the decision.

Walker managed to get through the Dodgers' lineup the first time but ran into trouble the second time through the order. A few hits, a hit batter and a walk led to three runs being scored in the third inning. The wild outing was uncharacteristic of Walker this season, as Tuesday was just the third time that he has walked three or more batters in his 23 starts. He will carry a 3.45 ERA into his next start, which is lined up to be at Pittsburgh next week.

Urena (3-5) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings against Atlanta. He struck out six.

Despite failing to record a clean inning, Urena was able to hold Atlanta to two runs and earn his third win of the season. More impressive was that the outing came at home, where he sported a 7.36 ERA entering Tuesday. The surprise performance is unlikely to be repeatable as Urena carries an ugly 5.18 xFIP and 5.54 xERA on the season.

Fried (12-5) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk over five innings against the Rockies. He struck out three.

Atlanta got off to an early lead for Fried, but Colorado got to him for two runs on a few hits to tie the game in the fourth and then Fried cost himself a run with an error in the fifth. The loss is the fifth for Fried on the season and just his second since the All-Star break. He will carry a 2.56 ERA into his next start.
