Wheeler (11-7) allowed four earned runs on five hits and four walks while striking out six across 5.1 innings to take the loss in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Wheeler held the Mets scoreless through four innings, though he allowed a pair of runs in each of his final two frames. His control was notably lacking, and he has now handed out at least three free passes in three of his last five starts. Wheeler has also been hit hard by the Mets in back-to-back outings, surrendering a combined 10 earned runs in 11.1 innings. Despite the recent stumble, Wheeler still has a 3.07 ERA and a 148:33 K:BB across 138 frames for the season.

Strider allowed a run on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Saturday.

Since the start of July, Strider has allowed one run or fewer in seven of his nine outings. He's allowed 15 runs across 47 innings in that stretch as he continues to impress in his rookie year. His lone mistake Saturday was a solo home run to Jeremy Pena in the fifth inning. Strider owns a 2.95 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 151:37 K:BB through 100.2 innings across 26 appearances (15 starts). He's lined up for a road start in St. Louis next week.

Musgrove didn't factor into the decision during Saturday's 2-1 win against the Nationals, allowing one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in six innings.

Musgrove limited Washington's offense to a Lane Thomas solo shot in the second inning but San Diego wasn't able to pull ahead until the seventh -- after he had been removed. The 29-year-old tossed 71 of 97 pitches for strikes with eight swinging strikes in recording his third-highest strikeout total during a 10-start winless stretch. Despite the recent drought, Musgrove has submitted three straight quality starts and possesses a superb 2.91 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with 136 strikeouts in 139 innings. He's scheduled to take the mound again next weekend in Kansas City.

May (1-0) earned the win over Miami on Saturday, allowing one hit and walking two batters while notching nine strikeouts over five scoreless innings.

The Dodgers couldn't have asked for much more from May in his first big-league outing since undergoing Tommy John surgery last May. The right-hander was a bit shaky in the first inning, allowing a leadoff single and a pair of walks. However, he struck out the other three batters he faced in the frame and went on to retire all 12 hitters who stepped up to the plate against him during the remainder of his outing. May neared triple-digits on his four-seamer, per Sarah Wexler of MLB.com, and induced 13 swinging strikes among his 71 pitches. With Walker Buehler (elbow) out for the season and Clayton Kershaw (back) on the 15-day IL, May's return and ability to ramp up over the remainder of the regular season could be critical in the Dodgers' quest to return to the World Series.

Feltner registered a no-decision during Saturday's 4-3 win over the Giants, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six innings.

Feltner held San Francisco scoreless through five frames before surrendering a Joey Bart solo shot to lead off the sixth in submitting his first start of at least five innings and fewer than three runs in seven turns. The 25-year-old induced 10 swinging strikes on 86 pitches en route to five strikeouts after averaging 2.5 per start during his last six appearances. The successful outing dropped Feltner's ERA from 6.39 to 5.88, though he'll be in for a tough test with a start against the Mets scheduled for next week.

Dunn (1-1) earned the win Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and four walks over five innings against Pittsburgh. He struck out four.

Dunn surrendered a first-inning double to Tucupita Marcano and a solo home run from second baseman Rodolfo Castro with one out in the fourth. Due to a shoulder injury, the righty has only had two other outings this season, giving up a combined eight runs in 8.1 innings in those games. The 26-year-old's numbers were a bit more serviceable during his previous two seasons with the Mariners, recording a 3.75 ERA and 1.31 WHIP over 11 starts in 2021 and a 4.34 ERA and 1.36 WHIP over 10 starts in 2020.

Cobb didn't factor into the decision during Saturday's 4-3 loss to Colorado, allowing three runs on 10 hits with three strikeouts in 6.2 innings.

Cobb surrendered two runs on four hits in the third inning and an additional run on two hits in the seventh before being removed. The 34-year-old fired 61 of 87 pitches for strikes but induced only four whiffs in recording his lowest strikeout tally since July 6 with three. Cobb has submitted quality starts in four of his last five turns, pitching to a 3.30 ERA with 34 strikeouts across 30 innings during the stretch. He carries a 3.99 ERA into his next start, scheduled for next weekend in Minnesota.

Butto will start Sunday's game against the Phillies, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Butto was only recently promoted to Triple-A Syracuse, and his second start with the club was cut short in anticipation that he may be needed in the majors. He has spent the majority of the season with Double-A Binghamton, where he posted a 108:35 K:BB, 4.00 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 92.1 frames. Butto's first stint in the majors could be short, as the Mets only need to turn to a six-man rotation due to their doubleheader Saturday.

Garrett will be on placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a right oblique strain and isn't expected to return this season, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.

He was a late scratch from his scheduled start Saturday against the Dodgers, and while Garrett is eligible to be activated at the end of August, the nature of the injury probably makes it unrealistic for him to get stretched out in time to rejoin the rotation before the end of the season. The 25-year-old lefty had a successful campaign, logging a 3.67 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 71 strikeouts in 68.2 innings through 13 MLB starts. Miami's one strength is starting pitching depth, but Garrett should at least get to compete for a rotation spot next spring.

Garrett will not make his scheduled start Saturday against the Dodgers and will be placed on the injured list for an unspecified reason, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

It's not clear who will start in Garrett's place or what the injury is, but he will be out until at least Aug. 30.
