Henry tweaked the grip on his slider and curveball and plans to use it in Tuesday's start against Pittsburgh, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

The change was suggested by pitching coach Brent Strom, who instructed Henry to hold the ball deeper in his hand for both pitches. Strom said he's worked with many pitchers that had good curveballs, including Nolan Ryan, who held the ball farther into their hand. Henry, whose grip on both pitches gradually changed over time without him noticing, responded well to the adjustment during a bullpen session Saturday and will bring it with him Tuesday, his second career MLB start. "It's really about giving myself space to rip down on it and pull down on it," Henry said. The left-hander worked around shaky command in his first major-league start against the Guardians last week, allowing one run through four innings before being done in by a three-run home run in the fifth.

Snell (4-6) allowed one run on six hits and two walks over 5.2 innings Monday, striking out eight and taking a loss against the Giants.

Snell loaded the bases with no outs in the fourth inning but escaped the threat after giving up just one run. Aside from that, the 29-year-old southpaw didn't face much resistance from San Francisco's lineup. He's now allowed one run or fewer in four consecutive starts and six of his last seven dating back to the start of July. During that stretch, Snell has posted a 57:17 K:BB while lowering his season ERA from 5.60 to 3.96. He'll look to continue his dominant stretch in Washington this weekend.

Wood (8-9) yielded three hits over 6.1 shutout innings, striking out five and earning a win over the Padres on Monday.

Wood coughed up just three singles and, at one point, he retired nine consecutive batters. It was a promising start after the Dodgers piled six runs on him in his last outing. Wood lowered his ERA to 4.17 alongside a 110:26 K:BB through 22 starts. He's projected to face the Pirates at home this weekend.

Gallen (7-2) yielded three hits and two walks over seven shutout innings Monday, striking out eight and earning a win over Pittsburgh.

Gallen let just one Pirate reach scoring position in Monday's dominating victory. He forced 14 swinging strikes on 89 pitches and lowered his season ERA to 3.12 through 118.1 frames. Over his last five starts, the 27-year-old has punched out 30 batters while giving up just six runs. Gallen will look to keep the momentum rolling in his projected matchup in Colorado this weekend.

Hendricks underwent an MRI on his injured shoulder Monday, Tim Stebbins of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Hendricks has been shut down since landing on the injured list in early July, and he was sent for another check-up Monday. The results of the exam will determine whether or not Hendricks has any chance to return before the season comes to a close.

Odorizzi (4-4) was dealt the loss in his Atlanta debut in Game 1 of a doubleheader Saturday with the Mets. He struck out four over 4.2 innings and was charged with three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks.

Though Odorizzi wasn't especially effective or efficient with his pitch count in his Atlanta debut, it looks like he'll maintain a spot in the rotation moving forward after Ian Anderson was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday. According to David O'Brien of The Athletic, Anderson will remain on the taxi squad and start one game of another doubleheader this upcoming Saturday in Miami, but manager Brian Snitker said the right-hander will return to Gwinnett following the twin bill in light of his recent struggles. Odorizzi, meanwhile, had generally pitched well prior to being acquired from Houston last week, so Atlanta won't pull the plug on him as a starter after one substandard outing. He's expected to make his second start with Atlanta in the other doubleheader game against the Marlins this weekend.

The Reds recalled Dunn from Triple-A Louisville ahead of his scheduled start Monday against the Mets in New York.

The 26-year-old right-hander will be making his Reds debut versus the organization that originally selected him in the first round of the 2016 first-year player draft. After opening the season on the 60-day injured list while recovering from a shoulder injury, Dunn reported to Triple-A at the beginning of July and has turned in a 6.92 ERA and 1.81 WHIP across 26 innings over his seven starts with Louisville. Though Dunn could have a decent amount of leash in the Cincinnati rotation with Robert Dugger (shoulder) and Hunter Greene (shoulder) recently joining Connor Overton (back) on the IL, his ugly numbers at the Triple-A level should give fantasy managers some pause when it comes to streaming him, even in NL-only leagues.

Butto was promoted to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, Michael Meyer of MetsmerizedOnline.com reports.

Butto will make his way to Triple-A after producing a 4.00 ERA and 1.31 WHIP with 108 punchouts over 92.1 innings in 20 appearances with Double-A Binghamton this season. The right-hander is now one step closer to making his major-league debut.

Atlanta returned Elder to Triple-A Gwinnett following Saturday's doubleheader with the Mets.

Back in the majors for the first time since late April, Elder appeared in long relief in Atlanta's 8-5 loss in Game 1, covering 2.1 innings and striking out two while allowing three earned runs on five hits. He'll settle back into a starting role as he returns to Gwinnett, but he's unlikely to pick up additional starts with Atlanta this season unless the big club loses multiple rotation members to injury.

Cabrera is scheduled to start Thursday's series finale in Philadelphia.

Miami plugged Cabrera back into its rotation in his return from the 15-day injured list Friday, and the right-hander came through with a dominant outing, striking out eight and issuing three walks over five no-hit scoreless innings. Cabrera will be rewarded with another turn Thursday, but unless the Marlins permanently expand to a six-man rotation, he may not be long for a starting role. Trevor Rogers (back) is scheduled to make a rehab start Tuesday for Double-A Jacksonville and could come off the IL to replace Cabrera in the big-league rotation as soon as Sunday.
