Nola (7-8) allowed one run on six hits and a walk over six innings Sunday, striking out eight and earning a win over Pittsburgh.

Nola bounced back nicely after coughing up five runs against Atlanta in his last outing. He gave up an RBI double to Cal Mitchell in the third inning Sunday but didn't face much danger otherwise. The 29-year-old righty lowered his season ERA to 3.25 with a terrific 152:18 K:BB through 138.2 frames. Nola is projected to take on the Nationals at home next weekend.

Brubaker (2-9) yielded seven runs on 12 hits over 4.1 innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss to the Phillies.

After allowing two runs in the first inning, Brubaker tossed three shutout frames. He was then tagged with five runs in an ugly fifth inning that began with a leadoff homer from Kyle Schwarber. Brubaker's ERA jumped from 3.96 to 4.40 in the ugly outing, but he improved his K:BB to 105:42. It was also his shortest outing since coughing up six runs against Arizona on June 3. Brubaker is projected to start in Baltimore next weekend.

Gray (7-7) allowed four runs on five hits and two walks over five innings Sunday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Cardinals.

Gray allowed just one run through three frames before he served up a three-run shot to Corey Dickerson in the fourth. The 24-year-old righty posted an unsightly 6.75 ERA with a 36:10 K:BB through five starts in July. Gray is now sporting a 4.59 ERA across 102 innings this season. He's lined up to start in Philadelphia next week.

Fried struck out five in seven scoreless innings, allowing four hits and two walks in a 1-0 win Sunday against Arizona. He did not factor into the decision.

Fried did not allow a hit until Jake McCarthy singled with one out in the fifth inning. He was never really in trouble as only one baserunner made it into scoring position. The lefty has given up more than three runs in a start only twice all season and has a 2.58 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 122:24 K:BB in 132.1 innings while allowing just six homers. His next start will likely be next weekend in New York against the Mets.

Kelly struck out eight in seven shutout innings while allowing three hits and two walks in a 1-0 loss Sunday in Atlanta. He did not factor into the decision.

Kelly efficiently mowed through the Atlanta lineup, needing just 91 pitches to complete seven frames. Only once did Atlanta threaten to score, when they had two on and one out in the second, but Kelly quickly got out of it with a groundball double play. The 33-year-old was masterful in July, going 4-0 with a 1.31 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 33:8 K:BB in 41.1 innings across six starts. He allowed two runs or fewer and tossed at least six innings in each July outing. His next start will likely be next weekend against Colorado.

Marquez (6-9) allowed five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts in six innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Dodgers.

Marquez's problems with the Dodgers continued, as he's now allowed 15 runs (14 earned) in 22.1 innings against the NL West leaders this year. The right-hander's stretch of three straight quality starts came to an end Sunday in his second consecutive loss. For the season, Marquez has a 5.29 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 95:40 K:BB across 115.2 innings in 20 starts. He's projected for a road start in Arizona next week.

Gonsolin (12-1) allowed three runs on five hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out six over five innings to earn the win over the Rockies on Sunday.

Gonsolin limited the damage to the third inning, when he gave up a solo home run to Brian Serven and a two-run single to Randal Grichuk. Gonsolin did well enough to earn his first win in his last three starts. He still has a 2.41 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 96:28 K:BB across 104.2 innings in 19 starts this year, but the shine is coming off as the right-hander has surrendered 12 runs in his last 16 innings. He'll look to steer out of the skid in his next projected start, currently scheduled to be a home start versus the Padres next weekend.

Davies (shoulder) is starting Monday against the Guardians, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Davies spent just over a month on the injured list due to right shoulder inflammation, but he resumed mound work July 23 and faced live batters Tuesday at the Diamondbacks' spring training complex. Over his five starts prior to his absence, he posted a 2.56 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 31.2 innings.

Miley (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Sunday and is scheduled for a rehab start with Triple-A Iowa this week, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Miley made his first rehab outing Friday with High-A South Bend and allowed five runs (four earned) across 2.1 innings. The veteran left-hander is set to make another start in the minors this week, which will come Wednesday if he remains on a typical five-day pitching schedule. Miley may require an additional rehab outing or two after this week since he's been sidelined over seven weeks with the shoulder injury.

Manager Craig Counsell said Peralta (lat) will return from his rehab assignment and join the Brewers during the upcoming series in Pittsburgh, which begins Tuesday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The 26-year-old made his second minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Nashville on Friday and threw 52 pitches across 3.1 innings, and the team has apparently seen enough to bring him back to the major-league club. Peralta isn't fully stretched out and may not immediately reclaim his spot in the starting rotation, and if that's the case he'll likely work in tandem with another pitcher for his first outing or two as he continues to build up his workload. He had a 4.42 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 50:13 K:BB across 38.2 innings (eight starts) before suffering the lat strain in late May.
