Peterson didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 8-3 extra-inning win over the Reds, giving up three runs on four hits and five walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out seven.

The strikeouts helped salvage some fantasy value for the southpaw, but Peterson struggled to find the plate consistently, tossing only 51 of 93 pitches for strikes. He was on the hook for his second loss of the year until the Mets rallied in the ninth inning. New York will get Chris Bassitt (COVID-19) back this weekend, but Trevor Williams is the more likely pitcher to get bumped from the rotation despite this poor outing from Peterson, who still sports a 3.48 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 67:27 K:BB through 62 big-league innings this season.

Fried (9-2), who picked up the win Wednesday against the Cardinals, was removed after six scoreless innings as a precautionary measure due to tightness in his right glute, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports. The left-hander allowed five hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

The 28-year-old exited with only 82 pitches, so he likely would have lasted another inning or two without the injury. It's not believed to be a serious issue, and manager Brian Snitker expects Fried to make his next turn through the rotation, which tentatively lines up for Monday versus the Mets. He has 1.35 ERA and 25:4 K:BB in 26.2 innings across his past four outings.

Mikolas (5-7) took the loss to Atlanta on Wednesday, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out four and walking one over six innings.

Mikolas pitched well in Wednesday's game, throwing 59 of 92 pitches for strikes while picking up four strikeouts and allowing just one walk in the game. He did not get any offensive support though, and he picked up the loss, his seventh of the year. Mikolas did earn a quality start in the outing, his 11th this season. The righty will take a 2.72 ERA into his next outing.

Keller (2-6) took the loss against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing four runs on 10 hits while striking out seven and walking one in six innings.

Keller tied a season high with seven strikeouts, but he faced a surging Yankees offense and was taken deep twice. The righty has allowed at least one run in each of his appearances this season and three or more runs in five of 12 outings, a major reason why he has just three quality starts. Keller will take a 5.21 ERA into his next outing where he'll look to get things going in the right direction.

Urena pitched 6.2 innings against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and three walks while striking out two. He didn't factor in the decision.

Urena was promoted from Triple-A Albuquerque to make the start after appearing in four games as a reliever with the Brewers earlier in the campaign. The veteran hurler held his own against one of the game's top offenses, keeping the Dodgers scoreless through six frames before giving up his first run in the seventh. Urena finished with an efficient 89 pitches over 6.2 frames and didn't allow any extra-base hits, but he had to settle for a no-decision due to a quiet Colorado offense. After Wednesday's strong outing, it seems likely that he'll get another start with Antonio Senzatela (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list.

Kelly pitched 6.1 innings against San Francisco on Wednesday, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out six batters. He did not factor in the decision.

Kelly held Arizona scoreless for four frames before giving up a pair of fifth-inning runs. He was able to pitch into the seventh inning and left the contest in line for the win, but the Giants stormed back after his departure to take the victory. Kelly racked up 15 swinging strikes in another effective performance that accounted for his third quality start over his past four outings. He leads the Diamondbacks with seven wins while posting a 3.42 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 80:34 K:BB over 97.1 innings on the season.

Cobb pitched six innings against Arizona on Wednesday, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three batters. He did not factor in the decision.

Cobb was tagged for four runs over his first two frames, but he was able to settle down and prevent any additional runs from there while tying a season high with six innings. The right-hander was in line for the loss when he departed, but San Francisco's offense stormed back late in the game to allow him to escape with a no-decision. Cobb has allowed only eight earned runs over 25.1 innings (2.84 ERA) across his past five starts, but he hasn't picked up any wins over that time. His last victory came May 17 in Colorado in a wild game in which he surrendered seven runs.

Burnes allowed three hits and one walk while striking out 10 across seven scoreless innings Wednesday against the Cubs. He did not factor into the decision.

Burnes dominated the Cubs the entire outing, generating 26 swinging strikes on 100 total pitches. That was enough for him to record his sixth double-digit strikeout tally and fifth scoreless effort of the season. After this performance, Burnes has a 2.20 ERA with a 134:26 K:BB across 106.1 frames on the campaign.

Gray (7-5) earned the win Wednesday after he pitched six innings, surrendering two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out 11 versus the Phillies.

Gray returned to form Wednesday, limiting the Phillies to two runs on two Kyle Schwarber solo homers while striking out a career-high 11 batters. He produced his sixth quality start of the campaign and got back on the right track following a six-run implosion against the Marlins in his last outing. Even with the clunker from last time mixed in, Gray has produced a 2.68 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 48 punchouts over 40.2 innings in his last seven starts. The hot stretch has his season numbers at a 4.14 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with 99 strikeouts over 87 frames in 16 starts in 2022.
