Marquez (0-1) took the loss after allowing seven runs (four earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out one in 3.2 innings in a 10-3 defeat Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Three unearned runs scored in the second inning when the Rockies committed two errors and Marquez threw a wild pitch. The remaining four runs against the righty crossed the plate in the fourth, three of them with two outs. After an excellent first start, the 27-year-old has allowed 15 runs (12 earned) in 14 innings covering his last three starts. Dating back to August 12 of last season, he has a 6.85 ERA over 13 starts with 14 home runs allowed in just 64.1 innings.

Keller did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Brewers, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out one batter in 4.2 innings.

After showing some signs of progress last week, Keller fell flat in a rematch with Milwaukee. He served up an early homer to Willy Adames and finished with more walks than strikeouts. Keller enticed with increased velocity in the offseason and spring training, but the results haven't been there early on, as he's allowed four runs on three of four occasions this season. The good news is that the Pirates are going to keep giving him chances in the starting rotation to see what he's made of.

Woodruff did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six over four innings.

One of the runs against Woodruff touched home after he exited the game, with Brent Suter allowing an inherited runner to score. Woodruff now sports a 5.30 ERA this season. That number is misleading -- Woodruff had just turned in consecutive scoreless outings in his last two starts prior to Tuesday -- but his strikeouts are down. It's something to keep an eye on as the season progresses.

Stroman (0-3) allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits across six innings to take the loss Tuesday against Atlanta. He had no walks and struck out three.

Stroman pitched a lot better than he had his previous two starts, but the Cubs only mustered one run of support, leaving the righty still searching for his first win with his new team. Because of those rough two outings in which he allowed 12 earned runs across 8.1 innings, Stroman is saddled with a 6.98 ERA for the season. He'll look to keep whittling that down in his next start.

Musgrove (3-0) earned the win over the Reds on Tuesday. He was charged with five runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk, striking out four in six innings.

While Musgrove wasn't quite as dominant this time around against Cincinnati, the results were similar to last week. The right-hander cruised to a win, and he now has a 2.16 ERA and 25:2 K:BB in 25 innings this season. Blake Snell (groin) is set for another rehab outing Thursday, so Musgrove tentatively lines up for another start this week. He would get his former team in Pittsburgh.

The Phillies optioned Falter to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.

Falter's one-inning appearance in Monday's 8-2 win over the Rockies was his first in nine days, so the Phillies may want to see him get more regular work in the minors. Before getting the call from the bullpen Monday, Falter had covered at least two innings in each of his other three relief outings, so he could be moved back into the rotation at Triple-A.

Snell (groin) is scheduled to make a minor-league rehab appearance with High-A Fort Wayne on Thursday.

Snell tossed 38 pitches in a simulated game Saturday, per AJ Cassavell of MLB.com, and he appears to have come out of that session without experiencing any setbacks. The southpaw hasn't pitched in a game since spring training, as he landed on the injured list in mid-April due to left adductor tightness. Should Snell's rehab appearance Thursday go well, he could make his season debut with San Diego sometime in early May.

Mikolas didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Mets, giving up four hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five.

The right-hander baffled New York hitters and generated plenty of weak contact, tossing 63 of 95 pitches for strikes before hitting the showers in line for his second win of the season. Unfortunately, Giovanny Gallegos blew his first save of the season in the ninth. Mikolas appears to have re-discovered his 2018 form, posting a 1.21 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB through 22.1 innings, and the key to his success so far has been the fact that he has yet to serve up a homer after giving up 33 of them (1.30 HR/9) over his last two seasons.

Kelly (1-1) was charged with the loss against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings.

The right-hander held the Dodgers' potent offense mostly at bay to notch his second straight quality start, but he was outdueled by Walker Buehler -- who threw his first career shutout -- and Kelly was saddled with his first loss. Kelly wasn't as sharp as in his previous start, when he allowed just one run over six frames, but he impressively recovered from a rough first inning during which the Dodgers produced two runs. Kelly still has a standout 1.69 ERA on this season, and he'll likely make his next start in St. Louis this weekend.

Buehler (2-1) earned the win over Arizona on Monday, tossing nine shutout innings during which he allowed three hits and struck out 10.

Buehler dominated from start to finish in the impressive performance, retiring eight of the Diamondbacks' first nine batters and 16 of their final 17. The right-hander induced 14 swinging strikes, racked up a season-high 10 punchouts and didn't walk a batter for the first time in four starts. The shutout was both the first of Buehler's career and the first in MLB this season. He's started the season off well, posting a 2.55 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB across 24.2 innings. Buehler is in line to make his next start against Detroit on Sunday.
