Freeland (2-6) had X-rays come back negative on his left foot after leaving Tuesday's start against the Cubs after five innings. The lefty allowed two runs on four hits with five strikeouts and zero walks to earn the victory.

Freeland was struck by a line drive during the fifth inning and was pulled at 66 pitches after completing the frame. The 28-year-old was apparently a bit hobbled following the contest due to the bruise, but the team hopes he'll be ready for his next turn through the rotation, which tentatively lines up for Sunday versus Miami.

Davies (6-8) allowed seven runs across four innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Rockies. He gave up six hits and two walks while striking out just one.

Davies was bitten by the beast that is Coors Field, and it's hard to have much success at altitude while only striking out one batter. Colorado hitters managed to put the ball in play frequently, and that led to two doubles and two home runs against Davies. The righty now has a 4.79 ERA and 6.31 K/9 this season, which makes him more of a matchup option at this point. Davies has a tough matchup in his next scheduled start Sunday against the White Sox, so fantasy managers may want to look elsewhere.

Corbin (6-10) took the loss against the Phillies on Tuesday after yielding four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out eight across seven innings.

While he was able to miss a decent number of bats, Corbin fell victim to the long ball once again, surrendering three homers for the second straight game. The 32-year-old has now allowed at least four earned runs in five of his last six outings, taking the loss in four of those games. Corbin, who has pitched to the tune of a 5.74 ERA and 1.44 WHIP this season, is slated to take the mound again Sunday at Atlanta.

Wheeler (9-6) picked up the win Tuesday after holding the Nationals to four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five across 7.1 innings.

The Nationals made consistent contact, but Wheeler went the distance once again while receiving ample run support from his teammates. The right-hander has now completed seven or more innings in five of his last seven starts, and he leads the National League with 170 strikeouts. This has been the best season of Wheeler's career, as he owns a 2.57 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across 23 appearances (22 starts); both would be career highs if he can maintain them. Next up, the 31-year-old is tentatively scheduled for a home matchup Sunday against his old team, the Mets.

Freeland was removed from Tuesday's start against the Cubs with a left foot contusion, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

It's unclear whether the issue will affect his availability for his next turn through the rotation, which tentatively lines up for Sunday versus the Marlins.

Anderson (shoulder) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment Thursday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander has been on the shelf since July 16 with a shoulder issue, and he'll enter the final stage of his rehab program Thursday. Anderson shouldn't require more than one or two starts in the minors before rejoining Atlanta's rotation since he's only been sidelined a couple weeks.

Rutledge is on the 7-day injured list with Low-A Fredericksburg with a blister, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

He's coming off his best start of the year -- five shutout innings with seven strikeouts on July 29. Rutledge has had a disaster of a season on the whole, as the 22-year-old righty logged a 12.66 ERA in four starts (10.2 innings) at High-A before missing time with a shoulder injury and then getting a soft landing with an assignment to Low-A. Ideally, he will return soon from the blister and be able to finish the season strong while staying healthy. He's a candidate to head to the Arizona Fall League after the minor-league season.

Lodolo was promoted from Double-A Chattanooga to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Lodolo is one of the best pitching prospects in the minors. He logged a 1.84 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 68 strikeouts in 44 innings (10 starts) at Double-A. It's possible he could make his big-league debut if the Reds need reinforcements later this summer.

Rogers was placed on the family medical emergency list Tuesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

This is similar to a player being placed on the bereavement list, and Rogers must remain on the family medical emergency list for at least three days but no more than seven days. That means he will not make his regularly scheduled start Thursday at home against the Mets; Rogers will likely return during this weekend's series in Coors Field, which could be a big blow for his fantasy managers. However, if he spends six or seven days on the family medical emergency list, he would instead start next week in San Diego.

DeGrom (elbow) will get another MRI in about 10 days, and if he is cleared to resume throwing at that time, he will need time to ramp back up before returning to the big-league rotation, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

This is a separate issue from the forearm tightness that originally led to him landing on the injured list on July 18. DeGrom said a bone spur has been ruled out and there isn't ligament damage, so the official injury designation is elbow inflammation. When asked Tuesday if he was concerned that he might miss the rest of the season, deGrom said, "I would say no, not right now." It sounds like he will need good results on the MRI around Aug. 13 in order to return by early September.
