Gray (2-4) earned the win Wednesday against Kansas City after tossing seven innings of two-run ball, allowing seven hits and two walks while fanning seven.

Gray completed seven innings for just the second time this season and delivered a strong performance across the board, limiting the walks once again and fanning at least seven for the fourth time over his last six outings. The veteran owns an excellent 2.56 ERA with a 41:9 K:BB across 31.2 innings during that six-game stretch. He heads into the break riding his best stretch of form so far this season.

Kershaw (forearm) will undergo an MRI on Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Manager Dave Roberts didn't express too much concern about Kershaw's injury Thursday, but he said that the team will know more about the severity once his test results are revealed. The southpaw landed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with left forearm inflammation. While he'll be eligible to return shortly after the All-Star break, Friday's MRI could help determine a recovery timetable.

Senzatela (2-8) took the loss Wednesday against the Diamondbacks after allowing three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings.

All the damage against Senzatela came in the second inning when the Diamondbacks got to him for three runs on four singles and a sacrifice fly before he struck out Josh Rojas to end the frame. The 26-year-old righty went on to toss four more scoreless innings but was stuck with the loss after the Rockies failed to put up a run until the seventh. He's now put up quality outings in three of his last four starts and will head into the All-Star break with a 4.58 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 65:21 K:BB over 94.1 innings.

Oviedo (0-5) allowed two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out three over four innings in a loss to the Giants on Wednesday.

Oviedo struggled with his command again Wednesday. He managed to toss just 41 of his 80 pitches for strikes and walked four batters for the second time in his last three starts. He began the day with two straight walks and eventually loaded the bases before hitting Jason Vosler with a pitch to bring in the first run for the Giants. A pair of doubles would score another run the following inning but he was able to turn in two scoreless frames thereafter despite walking two more batters in the fourth. The 23-year-old has reached five innings just three times in 11 starts this season, making it difficult for him to pick up a win. He'll head into the All-Star break with a 5.09 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 40:30 K:BB over 53 innings.

Wood (8-3) earned the win Wednesday over the Cardinals, allowing a run on three hits and two walks while striking out six over seven innings.

Wood had one of his better outings of the season, and the only run scored against him came in the first off an RBI double by Nolan Arenado. The 30-year-old lefty settled in afterward, throwing six shutout innings and 62-of-94 pitches for strikes while not allowing another baserunner to reach scoring position. Wednesday was his first quality start since June 14, which was a run of three starts. He's struck out at least six while allowing no more than two runs or four hits in four of his last five outings. Wood will head into the All-Star break with a 3.67 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 87:27 K:BB over 83.1 innings.

Paddack (4-6) took the loss against Washington on Wednesday, hurling two-plus innings and allowing nine runs (eight earned) on nine hits and one walk while striking out two.

Paddack fell behind early in the contest, surrendering a three-run homer to Juan Soto in the first inning. Things didn't get much better for the right-hander from there, as he allowed four more runs in the second before departing in the third inning without recording an out. The disastrous outing was a fitting cap to an inconsistent first half of the campaign for Paddack, who has allowed one or zero earned runs in five of his outings but five or more four times. He'll carry a disappointing 5.40 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come in Atlanta after the All-Star break.

Corbin (6-7) earned the win over San Diego on Wednesday, tossing six innings and allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three.

The southpaw didn't dominate in the contest -- he threw only 66 of 106 pitches for strikes and did not record a single 1-2-3 inning -- but he did enough to notch both a quality start and the win. The victory snapped a two-start losing streak and pushed his record to 6-7 on the season. Corbin finished the first half of the campaign with a disappointing 5.40 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 7.0 K/9. He isn't likely to pitch again until Washington's series at home against San Diego immediately following the All-Star break.

Wheeler (6-5) allowed seven runs (four earned) on eight hits and one walk while striking out six across 5.2 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Cubs.

Wheeler was hit around by the Cubs early on, as he surrendered five of his seven runs in the first two innings. He was hurt by his defense in the opening frame but still clearly didn't have his best stuff. The eight hits allowed were his highest mark since May 12 -- a span of nine outings. Positively, Wheeler managed 14 swinging strikes on 97 pitches and surrendered no walks or home runs. Despite the shaky outing, Wheeler has maintained a tremendous 2.26 ERA with a 145:26 K:BB across 119.2 innings on the campaign.

Martinez will be sidelined for the near future by a torn ligament in his right thumb, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander landed on the injured list earlier in the day with what was labeled a ligament strain, but he's apparently dealing with a full tear of the thumb ligament. Martinez doesn't have a timetable for his return given the recency of the diagnosis, but he can be ruled out indefinitely while he continues to be evaluated and begins treatment back in St. Louis.

Burnes (knee) allowed a run on six hits and struck out eight over 5.2 innings in a no-decision in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Mets.

Burnes left his last start with knee soreness, but it didn't seem to be a factor Wednesday. The right-hander left the contest in line for the win, but Josh Hader's first blown save of the season denied Burnes a decision. Through 87.2 innings, he's posted a 2.36 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 128:15 K:BB. The 26-year-old's next start is expected to come after the All-Star break.
