Martinez (10-9) earned the win against the Pirates on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts over seven innings.

Martinez allowed a run in the third inning but otherwise kept the Pirates in check, retiring 12 of the final 14 batters he faced. Since giving up 10 runs to the Marlins on July 8, the 35-year-old has gone 4-0 while holding opponents to two earned runs or fewer in six straight outings (five starts). For the season, he owns a 4.49 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 97:33 K:BB across 136.1 innings and will likely shift back to the bullpen with Hunter Greene (groin) expected to return next week.

Sasaki (shoulder) will begin a rehab a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Sasaki threw three simulated innings Friday without any issue, and he is ready to take the next step in his throwing program by starting a rehab assignment. Three innings is the target for the right-hander, who has been on the shelf since mid-May due to a right shoulder impingement. Sasaki will likely need at least three rehab starts before he's ready to be activated from the IL. In his eight starts prior to his injury, Sasaki posted a 1-1 record with a 4.72 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 24:22 K:BB across 34.1 innings.

Sasaki (shoulder) tossed three simulated innings against hitters Friday at Dodger Stadium, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Sasaki hurled 46 pitches in the session and touched 97 mph with his fastball, per Plunkett. The latter number is particularly promising, as the rookie right-hander is now right around the velocity he displayed prior to going on the injured list in mid-May. According to Sonja Chen of MLB.com, Sasaki could next begin a minor-league rehab assignment if he comes out of Friday's session without any issues, though it's also possible he could be asked to throw another live bullpen. Chen also relays that manager Dave Roberts indicated the team wants to see Sasaki be more confident in his delivery.

Misiorowski (tibia) threw roughly 60 pitches over three innings during a simulated game Saturday, Sophia Minnaert of FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin reports.

Saturday marks the first time Misiorowski has faced live hitters since he landed on the injured list Sunday with a bruised tibia. The Brewers haven't planned out next steps for the righty flamethrower, but he seems to still be on track for a return to the rotation when eligible Friday.

The Padres reinstated King (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list prior to his start Saturday against the Red Sox.

King landed on the injured list in late May with a right shoulder thoracic nerve impingement. He resumed pitching in minor-league games last weekend but was met with struggles, coughing up six earned runs on four hits, a walk and an HBP while striking out five batters over 3.1 innings. Despite his poor results, the Padres liked what they saw from him enough to feel comfortable activating him after just one rehab outing. He'll now be welcomed back to the majors by a Red Sox offense that has posted a .734 OPS since the All-Star break. Sean Reynolds was optioned to Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move.

Montas will pitch in bulk relief behind Reed Garrett during Saturday's game against the Brewers, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Montas has struggled often during the first inning this season, so the Mets will delay his appearance by three outs in an effort to maximize his effectiveness. The 32-year-old has given up 12 earned runs over 8.1 innings across his last two starts, however, so he still isn't a recommended fantasy option while he matches up against the hottest team in baseball.

The Marlins added Gusto to their roster as the 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader against Atlanta.

Gusto will make his Marlins debut Saturday while starting the first game of Saturday's twin bill. The 26-year-old rookie logged a 4.92 ERA and 1.43 WHIP through 86 innings with the Astros, though he pitched six innings of one-run ball during his most recent MLB outing July 30 against Washington. He'll likely head back to Triple-A following the doubleheader.

Pivetta (11-4) took the loss Friday, giving up five runs on five hits and three walks over six innings as the Padres were routed 10-2 by the Red Sox. He struck out three.

Facing the team he spent the last four-plus seasons with prior to signing with San Diego this past winter, Pivetta kept Boston off the board through three innings before the wheels began to come off in the fourth. Despite the stumble, the veteran right-hander still lasted at least six innings for the fifth straight outing and the sixth time in seven starts since the beginning of July, a stretch in which he's delivered a 1.78 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 48:11 K:BB through 50.2 innings. Pivetta will look to bounce back in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in San Francisco.

McGreevy (4-2) picked up the win in Friday's 5-0 victory over the Cubs, allowing six hits and a walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out three.

The 25-year-old righty put together his best performance of the season, firing first-pitch strikes to 19 of the 25 batters he faced and not giving up any extra-base hits while producing his second quality start on 87 pitches (54 total strikes). Since moving into the rotation on a full-time basis following the All-Star break, McGreevy has delivered two good outings and one poor one, and the overall results are a 4.56 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 10:4 K:BB over 23.2 innings. He'll look to build on Friday's effort in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Rockies.

Boyd (11-5) took the loss Friday, giving up three runs on seven hits over five innings as the Cubs fell 5-0 to the Cardinals. He struck out three without walking a batter.

Hits came in bunches against the veteran southpaw, resulting in a one-run second inning and a two-run fifth for St. Louis, and a lack of run support left Boyd with no margin for error. He's gone three straight outings without getting into the win column since having a five-start win streak snapped, but he's remained tough to square up -- Boyd's served up only one home run over those last eight trips to the mound, a stretch in which he's posted a 1.80 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 42:8 K:BB in 50 innings. He'll face a tough test in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week in Toronto.
