Kim allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out six across 5.1 innings Tuesday against the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.

Kim turned in one of his longer starts of the season, and he continued his strong run of results. He surrendered four doubles in the outing, which forced him to work out of trouble in several different innings. He did so effectively thanks to his six strikeouts, and he has now allowed only four earned runs across his last 20 innings of work. Kim projects to take his next turn through the rotation Sunday at San Diego.

Stroman settled for a no-decision in Tuesday's win over the Orioles after allowing one run on four hits and a pair of walks while striking out five across 6.1 innings.

Stroman turned in a strong performance, entering into a pitcher's duel with John Means while blanking the Orioles over the first six frames. However, the right-hander found himself in trouble early in the seventh inning after loading the bases. He was pulled from the game, and the bullpen allowed one of his baserunners to score, charging him with the run. Nonetheless, the 30-year-old has now collected 19 strikeouts over his last 16.1 innings while compiling a 2.01 ERA and 1.02 WHIP on the season. He's slated to take the mound again Sunday at Tampa Bay.

Webb (2-3) earned the win Tuesday against the Rangers after recording 10 strikeouts and allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over six innings.

The 24-year-old had recorded just nine strikeouts over his previous two outings, but he generated 14 swinging strikes Tuesday to fan double-digit batters for the first time this season. Webb has a 4.74 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 43:16 K:BB through 36 innings (seven starts) in 2021.

Gonsolin (shoulder) is scheduled to pitch two innings against live hitters this week, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

The 26-year-old is building up as a starter after being shut down from throwing in early April. Gonsolin should receive a look in the starting rotation once fully cleared with Dustin May (elbow) lost for the season.

Howard, the Reds' first-round pick in 2014, is pitching in relief at Double-A Chattanooga and has had two good outings so far, hitting 97 mph on the radar while commanding his slider, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

This is Howard's first game action since 2019, when he was released by the Reds at Chattanooga. Expectations for Howard are pretty low, but it's not out of the question that he could ultimately carve out a role in the major-league bullpen later this summer.

Rogers' start was pushed back a day and he will now pitch Thursday at Arizona, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Miami has opted for a bullpen game Wednesday, delaying Rogers' outing by a day. The rookie left-hander bounced back nicely from his first rough outing of the season, pitching five innings of one-run ball May 7 against the Brewers.

Senzatela (groin) was activated from the 10-day IL and will start Tuesday's game against the Padres.

The right-hander was set to return Monday but a rainout delayed his activation to Tuesday. Senzatela allowed three runs on nine hits in 4.2 innings in an April 29 start, his last before being placed on the IL.

Freeland (shoulder) will start a Triple-A game Saturday in El Paso, Michael Spencer of CBS Denver reports.

The lefty suffered a left shoulder strain late in spring training and is finally nearing a return to full health. He will throw between 60 and 70 pitches in this outing, so he may need another rehab start to fully build up before joining the rotation.

Smyly will pitch the series opener Friday against the Brewers, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

The veteran left-hander will be pitching on almost twice his normal rest and will face a lefty-heavy Milwaukee lineup. Smyly is coming off by far his best outing of the season, a six-inning performance with no earned runs May 6 against the Nationals.

DeGrom (side) showed no injury or inflammation in his MRI results, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

The righty ace went to the injured list merely as a precaution and, according to the Mets, to ensure his mechanics aren't negatively impacted by his pitching through the tightness. The encouraging MRI results reinforce that deGrom will likely stay on the IL for the minimum of 10 days and return May 21.
