Wainwright allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out 10 over seven innings but did not pick up a decision in Tuesday's 3-2 loss against the Nationals.

Wainwright turned back the clock Tuesday with an absolute masterpiece. It was his first double-digit strikeout performance since May 28, 2019. His one major mistake came in the sixth inning, when he left a first-pitch curveball hanging that was lifted into the seats in right by Josh Bell to give the Nationals 1-0 lead. It was a much-needed bounce-back game for the 39-year-old after he lost two of his first three starts while giving up 10 runs through just 12.2 innings. He'll look to build on this outing in a home game against the Phillies on Monday.

Burnes (2-1) pitched six scoreless innings Tuesday against the Padres, allowing six hits while striking out 10 to earn the win.

Burnes made history Tuesday, becoming the first starter to record 36 strikeouts without allowing a walk to start a season, per Elias Sports Bureau. There isn't anyone hotter than Burnes right now. In four starts, the 26-year-old has a stellar 0.37 ERA with 40 strikeouts and zero walks allowed in 24.1 innings. His average velocity is 97.3 mph, up from 96.0 mph in 2020. Although he handled the Padres with ease Tuesday, it was the most hits he's given up in a start. Burnes' only earned run this season came on a solo shot by Byron Buxton in the second game of the year.

Walker (0-1) allowed three runs (two earned) on two hits and six walks while striking out seven across 3.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday to the Cubs.

It was a strange outing for Walker, as he required 91 pitches to record 11 outs. However, he punched out seven in that span, generating 19 called strikes and 11 swinging strikes. That portion of his effort was overshadowed by six free passes, with the caveat that Walker rightly took issue with a number of calls and the patient Cubs lineup took a ton of close pitches. Nonetheless, he's now walked 11 batters across 14 innings this season. Because Walker has yet to allow a home run, he's been able to maintain a 3.21 ERA, though that will almost certainly change if he continues to allow so many hitters to reach base. Walker is currently projected to draw his next start Sunday against Washington.

Urias (3-0) earned the win Tuesday in Seattle after striking out 11 and allowing just one hit and one walk over seven scoreless innings.

The 24-year-old was in complete command of the zone Tuesday, as he delivered 68 of 88 pitches for strikes, generating 17 swinging strikes in the process. Urias has a 2.81 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 26:4 K:BB through 25.2 innings this season, and he'll attempt to continue his strong start to the year Monday versus the Reds.

Morton didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Yankees after allowing one run on three hits and two walks over six innings while striking out six.

The veteran righty served up a solo homer to Gio Urshela but was otherwise sharp, tossing 64 of 99 pitches for strikes. Unfortunately for Morton, Atlanta's hitters couldn't get much going either. He'll carry a 3.91 ERA and 27:7 K:BB through 23 innings into his next outing, set for Monday at home against the Cubs.

DeGrom will start Friday against the Nationals rather than Thursday against the Cubs as previously expected, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

DeGrom does not appear to be dealing with any injury. He threw 99 pitches in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Rockies, while Joey Lucchesi threw just 55 in the nightcap, so Lucchesi will move in front of deGrom in the rotation for now.

Kaminsky signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies on Tuesday.

Kaminsky threw 4.2 innings in his major-league debut for the Cardinals last season, allowing one earned run. The 26-year-old gives the Phillies some added depth from the left side but won't be one of the first names called up when a bullpen vacancy opens up, as he's not on the 40-man roster.

Anderson won't start Tuesday against the Tigers as scheduled, as the game has been postponed due to inclement weather, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Wednesday. Anderson will likely start one of those two games, though that would presumably mean he won't get a two-start week this week, as he'd no longer be lined up to start again Sunday in Minnesota.

The Phillies recalled Falter from their alternate site Tuesday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Philadelphia will exchange one left-handed reliever for another, as Falter replaces Cristopher Sanchez, who was optioned to the alternate site following Monday's 2-0 loss to the Giants. Expect Falter to work mostly in low-leverage spots for the duration of his stay with the big club.

The Phillies optioned Sanchez to their alternate training site Tuesday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Sanchez will leave Philadelphia without making an appearance, as he went unused out of the bullpen in Monday's 2-0 loss to the Giants following his call-up earlier that day. Left-hander Bailey Falter will take Sanchez's spot in the bullpen and on the 26-man active roster.
