Ranger Suarez SP | BOS
Phillies' Ranger Suarez: Sticks with big club
Suarez was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Suarez was sent back to Lehigh Valley after serving as the 26th man for Wednesday's doubleheader, but he'll rejoin the big club Thursday to replace the injured Pat Neshek (hamstring), who was placed on the injured list. In his lone appearance for the Phillies this season, Suarez allowed four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six across four innings.

Zac Gallen SP | ARI
Marlins' Zac Gallen: Promoted ahead of debut
Gallen had his contract selected from Triple-A New Orleans ahead of his scheduled start against the Cardinals on Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
As expected, Gallen is set to make his big-league debut in place of the injured Pablo Lopez (shoulder). The 23-year-old right-hander was dominant through 14 starts with New Orleans prior to earning a promotion, compiling a 1.77 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 112:17 K:BB in 91.1 innings. Gallen should have a good chance to stick in the rotation for more than one turn if he performs well Thursday. Jeff Brigham was optioned to Triple-A and Peter O'Brien was designated for assignment in a pair of corresponding roster moves.

Pablo Lopez SP | MIN
Marlins' Pablo Lopez: Dealing with mild strain
Lopez is reportedly dealing with a mild shoulder strain, according to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com.
Lopez landed on the injured list Wednesday with a right shoulder strain. While the Marlins are optimistic regarding the severity of the injury, they still figure to handle the right-hander with care. Zac Gallen will fill in for Lopez in the rotation for the time being.

Adrian Houser SP | SF
Brewers' Adrian Houser: Keeps rolling
Houser threw 3.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen in Wednesday's loss to the Pirates. He allowed just one hit and posted a 4:0 K:BB.
Houser entered Wednesday's contest in relief of Zach Davies after the starter lasted just 2.2 innings, and he left both the Brewers and himself in position to pick up the win when he left the game. While Houser did not end up picking up that win, he did continue his run of dominance: since allowing five earned runs in his first big-league appearance of the season, he has pitched 26.2 innings and has posted a 1.01 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 32:11 K:BB.

Jameson Taillon SP | TOR
Pirates' Jameson Taillon: Clarity expected in early July
Taillon's (elbow) outlook for the rest of the season will come into clearer focus when he attempts to throw in the next week or two, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports.
Director of medicine Todd Tomczyk said that some sort of surgery might become necessary if Taillon feels pain after he throws. "We might have to go in another direction," Tomczyk noted. The team remains cautious with its best starting pitcher, especially since Taillon has already had Tommy John surgery in his past. "It's going to start out probably at 60 feet, real light tossing," Taillon said of his throwing program. "Then you just go from there and let your body speak." The right-hander is still bothered by the elbow discomfort he first experienced in spring training.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Braves' Dallas Keuchel: Lined up for Friday debut
Keuchel will be added to the Braves' active roster and start Friday's game against the Nationals, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Atlanta may not officially activate Keuchel until Friday, but the team already cleared a spot for him on the 25-man roster by optioning reliever Huascar Ynoa to Triple-A Gwinnett following Wednesday's win over the Mets. Keuchel covered 106 pitches in his most recent rehab outing at Double-A Mississippi last weekend, so it's not expected that he'll face any significant workload restrictions in his first outing with the Braves.

Huascar Ynoa SP | LAA
Braves' Huascar Ynoa: Sent to Triple-A
The Braves optioned Ynoa to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
Ynoa will return to the minors after going unused out of the bullpen during his one-day stay with the big club. His move back to Triple-A opens up a spot on the active roster for Dallas Keuchel, who is slated to make his Braves debut Friday versus the Nationals.

Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Headed for IL
Manager Dave Roberts said the Dodgers plan to place Hill (forearm) on the 10-day injured list Thursday, ESPN.com reports.
Hill lasted just one inning in his start Wednesday against the Giants, tossing a perfect 15-pitch frame before departing with what the Dodgers labeled as a left forearm discomfort. An injury of that nature is often more than a day-to-day concern, so it's no surprise that Los Angeles plans to shelve him for at least the next week and a half. Hill is slated to undergo an MRI later Thursday, so more clarity regarding the severity of his forearm strain along with a protected timeline for his return should be known once his test results are available. Julio Urias was already slated to enter the rotation Thursday to build in an extra rest for the Dodgers' other four starters, so he now looks poised to replace Hill for at least a couple turns.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Bailed out by offense
Williams didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Tigers, surrendering seven runs on nine hits over five innings while striking out seven.
While the seven K's were a season high, that was about the only thing that went right for Williams in his first start off the IL. The right-hander was tagged for multiple homers for the first time all year, and it was his shortest outing since the one in which he got hurt in mid-May. Williams will take a 4.12 ERA and 49:10 K:BB through 59 innings into his next start Tuesday in Houston.

Jon Gray SP | TEX
Rockies' Jon Gray: Earns seventh win
Gray (7-5) picked up the win Wednesday against Diamondbacks, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and a pair of walks while striking out four through six innings.
Gray turned in a solid performance without allowing any extra-base hits to pick up his third win of the month. The victory was Colorado's seventh straight over the Diamondbacks, tying a franchise record. The right-hander gave up both of his runs in the second inning and managed to escape several jams, stranding six Arizona baserunners overall. Gray will carry a 4.18 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 97:36: K:BB into his next start against the Giants on Monday.
