Miles Mikolas RP | WAS
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Exits after being hit by liner
Mikolas was removed from Friday's game against the Cubs with a right forearm bruise after being hit by a line drive, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
David Bote hit a liner off Mikolas' right forearm to close the fourth inning, and he did not retake the mound in the following frame. He allowed three runs on four hits across four innings prior to exiting the game. The severity of the injury is not yet known, but the 30-year-old could undergo X-rays even if the injury is considered minor.

Michael Wacha SP | KC
Cardinals' Michael Wacha: Likely to start Monday
Manager Mike Shildt said Wacha is "in heavy pencil" to start Monday's game at Miami, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Wacha was always considered a candidate to start Monday following Wednesday's rainout, but he now appears to be the favorite, assuming he isn't called upon out of the bullpen this weekend in Chicago. The 28-year-old struggled through nine starts before being shifted to the bullpen in late May, posting a 5.59 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 43:29 K:BB over 46.2 innings. He could also be in line for a two-start week.

Seth Lugo SP | KC
Mets' Seth Lugo: Picks up win
Lugo (3-0) struck out one in a perfect eighth inning Thursday to record the win over the Giants.
The right-hander has tossed three straight scoreless outings since coming off the IL at the end of May. Lugo remains a key part of the Mets' bullpen, posting a 2.76 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB through 29.1 innings with seven holds in 22 appearances.

Michael Wacha SP | KC
Cardinals' Michael Wacha: Now candidate to start Monday
Updating a previous report, Wacha is a candidate to start Monday against the Marlins, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
The veteran right-hander, who was recently demoted to the bullpen, was originally considered a candidate to take the hill Sunday against the Cubs. However, a rainout of Wednesday's game moved everything back a day for the Cardinals, setting up a potential starting opportunity for Wacha on Monday instead. Daniel Ponce de Leon, currently at Triple-A Memphis, is also an option that manager Mike Shildt is exploring ahead of a potential Friday decision.

Patrick Corbin SP | TOR
Nationals' Patrick Corbin: Takes loss against Padres
Corbin (5-4) was hit with the loss against the Padres on Thursday, giving up five runs (three earned) on five hits over five innings, striking out six and walking five as the Nationals fell 5-4.
After giving up six earned to the Reds in his last start, Corbin had another rough outing against the Padres, although two of the runs against him were unearned due to a fielding error by Anthony Rendon. The main culprit in this contest was his lack of control, as the left-hander issued a season-high five free passes. His numbers are still solid on the whole, as he's sporting a 3.59 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP and an 89:27 K:BB through 80.1 innings. He'll look to get on track in his next start, which will see him take on the White Sox in a Tuesday road matchup.

Joey Lucchesi RP | LAA
Padres' Joey Lucchesi: Picks up fifth win
Lucchesi (5-3) got the win against the Nationals on Thursday, giving up four earned runs on four hits over five innings, striking out five and walking three as the Padres won 5-4.
The game got off to a rough start for Lucchesi as the Nationals tagged him for all four of their runs in the first inning. However, he settled down after that and the Padres struck back for five runs of their own, allowing the left-hander to pick up his fifth win of the season. Lucchesi will carry a 4.21 ERA and a solid 1.13 WHIP into his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday on the road against the Giants.

Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Tosses up two homers
Wheeler allowed three runs on three hits with six strikeouts and one walk across seven innings during a no-decision against the Giants on Thursday.
Three hits is the fewest Wheeler has allowed in one start during 2019, but two of them did leave the park. The pair of homers accounted for all of the Giants' runs. Wheeler's had some trouble keeping the ball in the park lately, as he's allowed eight homers in his last five appearances. Overall, Wheeler is 5-3 with a 4.61 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 93 strikeouts in 84 innings. Wheeler will make his next start at the Yankees on Tuesday.

Dallas Keuchel SP | MIL
Braves' Dallas Keuchel: Lands with Atlanta
Keuchel signed a one-year, $13 million contract with the Braves on Thursday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
The Braves had been in the mix for Keuchel over the past few days, and the two sides were finally able to come to terms Thursday evening. The southpaw is certainly a huge addition for Atlanta, as he'll help bolster its struggling rotation. Considering he hasn't pitched in a major-league game yet this season, it remains to be seen how soon Keuchel will be able to take the hill for his new team. He's set to make his first start in the minors with Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday, per Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports.

MacKenzie Gore SP | TEX
Padres' MacKenzie Gore: Keeps dealing in High-A
Gore tossed a pair of scoreless innings for High-A Lake Elsinore on Wednesday, giving up one hit, striking out four and walking one.
The Padres are carefully monitoring the workload of their highly touted pitching prospect, which is why this was an abbreviated outing. That figures to be a theme throughout the season for Gore, but the 20-year-old left-hander is proving to be a healthy step above the competition in the California League, as this scoreless effort lowers his ERA to 1.13 to go along with 77 strikeouts through 55.2 innings.

Anthony DeSclafani RP | ARI
Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Tosses solid outing
DeSclafani allowed one run on six hits and a walk while striking out seven over five innings Thursday in a no-decision against the Cardinals.
DeSclafani gave up his lone run in the third inning, but his offense didn't give him enough run support to come away with the win. The right-hander had surrendered three or more runs in each of his last five outings, so Thursday's outing was certainly a step in the right direction. He's posted a 4.70 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with 62 strikeouts over 59.1 frames.
