Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Eight strong innings
Syndergaard (3-3) allowed two earned runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six across eight innings to earn the win Tuesday against the Nationals.
Syndergaard didn't rack up strikeouts at a prolific rate, but instead worked efficiently needing only 101 pitches to record 24 outs. It was his third start of seven or more innings this season, and second in his past three games. Despite a bloated 4.74 ERA on the campaign, Syndergaard appears to be getting on track, allowing just four earned runs across his last 23 innings. He'll look to continue his improved form in his next start, likely to come in a favorable matchup at Miami on Sunday.

Kyle Hendricks SP | LAA
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Dominant again in win
Hendricks (3-4) pitched eight innings of one-run ball to grab the win Tuesday against the Reds. He allowed just three hits and a walk while striking out seven.
Joey Votto took Hendricks deep in the fourth inning, but the righty otherwise completely stymied the Reds. He also helped his own cause with three hits and two RBI. Hendricks has now gone at least eight innings in each of his last three starts. In those three outings, the 29-year-old has allowed just one run across 25 innings with a 17:1 K:BB. The strong stretch has lowered his ERA to 2.86, and Hendricks will look to keep rolling in his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Nationals on the road.

Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: Set for another bullpen session
Matz (forearm) will throw another bullpen session Wednesday, Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports reports.
Matz had been tracking towards a return Thursday, but the Mets elected to have him wait a few more days. He said Tuesday that he hadn't suffered any setback, so he's expected to pitch during the Mets' weekend series in Miami.

Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Surgery decision coming soon
Anderson will decide whether or not to undergo knee surgery within the next few days, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.
Anderson struggled to start the season and was sent to Triple-A Albuquerque in early May. It was then revealed that he'd been dealing with left knee inflammation. His recovery timeline from any potential procedure is not yet known, but his absence would likely be a long one.

Chase Anderson RP | TEX
Brewers' Chase Anderson: Back but not yet active
Anderson (finger) is back with the Brewers after making a rehab start Monday but won't be activated until later in the week, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Anderson appears to be ready to go, but there's no reason for the Brewers to activate him just yet while he's not yet ready to pitch. His role once he returns remains unclear, but there's a chance he takes Freddy Peralta's spot in the rotation Saturday in Atlanta.

Julio Urias SP | LAD
Dodgers' Julio Urias: Placed on administrative leave
Urias was placed on seven-day administrative leave Tuesday after being arrested for domestic battery the night before, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The league will likely keep Urias on leave while it investigates the details of the incident. Depending on the results of the investigation, a suspension could follow.
-
Wes Parsons RP | CLE
Braves' Wes Parsons: Recalled from Triple-A
Parson was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Parsons started the season in Atlanta but was sent down after recording a poor 10:8 K:BB and a mediocre 4.35 ERA in 10.1 innings. He's back up after throwing seven scoreless innings for Gwinnett and will likely fill a low-leverage role.

Sixto Sanchez SP | MIA
Marlins' Sixto Sanchez: Moving to Double-A
Sanchez was promoted to Double-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.
The Marlins managed Sanchez's workload with a late start to the season, but he'll move up after just two starts for High-A Jupiter. He didn't pitch particularly well in those two starts, allowing six runs in 11 innings while striking out just six batters, but the Marlins may simply have been treating those as a quick tune-up before he spends the bulk of the season with Jacksonville. Over his five-year minor-league career, the 20-year-old has a 2.60 ERA with a 21.4 percent strikeout rate and 4.9 percent walk rate.

Julio Urias SP | LAD
Dodgers' Julio Urias: Booked on domestic-violence charge
Urias was arrested Monday on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, Jonathan Lloyd and Oleevia Woo of NBC4 Southern California report.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Urias was taken into custody at 9:30 p.m. local time before being released on bond early Tuesday. Additional details regarding Urias' arrest haven't emerged, and the Dodgers have yet to issue a formal statement on the matter. After opening the season in the rotation, Urias transitioned to a bullpen role in late April. He's posted a 3.18 ERA and 32:9 K:BB across nine appearances (four starts) over 28.1 innings this season.

Zac Gallen SP | ARI
Marlins' Zac Gallen: Continues dominating PCL
Gallen allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out nine for Triple-A New Orleans on Monday.
The right-hander leads the Pacific Coast League in wins (five), ERA (1.16), WHIP (0.55) and strikeouts (64) as he continues to shoot up prospect rankings. Gallen is ready for the majors; the only question is when the Marlins will be ready to start his service-time clock.
