  • Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Rocked for five runs

Wainwright (3-3) allowed five runs on five hits and two walks across five innings Sunday, taking the loss against the Cubs. He struck out two batters and gave up a home run.

Wainwright allowed just one run on a Willson Contreras solo homer through four innings before things unraveled. He gave up two more runs in the fifth before getting tagged with three straight hits to start the sixth inning, ending his rough evening. He threw just 47 of 76 pitches for strikes and watched his ERA rise to 4.46. He'll take the mound Friday at home against the Pirates.

  • Zack Greinke SP | KC

Diamondbacks' Zack Greinke: Delivers quality start

Greinke gave up three runs on six hits and no walks while striking out four through six innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Sunday.

Greinke didn't have overwhelming stuff, inducing only seven swinging strikes, but he delivered another quality start even though he didn't factor into the decision. He has been consistent, posting seven consecutive quality starts. The right-hander has a 5-1 record with a 3.42 ERA and 50:8 K:BB through eight starts this season. Greinke will get his next start Friday against the Braves.

  • Luis Castillo SP | CHW

Reds' Luis Castillo: Fans nine in no-decision

Castillo yielded four runs on four hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, taking the no-decision during a loss to the Giants. He struck out nine batters.

Castillo had allowed just one baserunner via a fourth-inning walk through five frames. He then was drilled for four runs in the sixth, including a three-run shot from Buster Posey. It was the worst outing of the year for Castillo, who still owns a terrific 1.96 ERA and 59:19 K:BB. The 6-foot-2 righty will aim for revenge against San Francisco on Friday.

  • Kenta Maeda SP | NYY

Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Second straight no-decision

Maeda didn't factor into the decision against the Padres on Sunday, giving up four earned runs on three hits over six innings, striking out six and walking three as the Dodgers lost 8-5.

Maeda only missed a quality start by one earned run, but the Dodgers would drop the contest after Hunter Renfroe cranked a walkoff grand slam off Kenley Jansen. The right-hander is sporting a 4.66 ERA, a 1.42 WHIP and a 34:18 K:BB through 38.2 innings, and he's scheduled to take the mound next against the Nationals at home Friday.

  • Zach Eflin SP | BAL

Phillies' Zach Eflin: Notches fourth victory

Eflin picked up the win Sunday against the Nationals after allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings.

Eflin surrendered a solo homer in the fourth, but he'd close out his day with three straight scoreless frames on the way to win No. 4 of the season. The 25-year-old has been stellar for the Phillies through seven starts in 2019, posting a 3.00 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with a 31:7 K:BB over 42 innings.

  • Pablo Lopez SP | MIN

Marlins' Pablo Lopez: Throws six scoreless

Lopez pitched six shutout innings, allowing three hits and one walk while striking out one in a no-decision against the Braves on Sunday.

The 23-year-old has pitched much better in the last couple weeks than he did at the beginning of April. In two of his last three starts, he's allowed zero earned runs, and since April 16, Lopez has dropped his ERA more than 2.5 runs. He is 2-4 with a 4.03 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 39 strikeouts in 38 innings this season. His next scheduled start is for Friday at the Mets.

  • Julio Teheran SP | BAL

Braves' Julio Teheran: Tosses six scoreless

Teheran allowed no runs on two hits with four strikeouts and two walks across six innings in a no-decision against the Marlins on Sunday.

The 28-year-old threw an absolute dandy, but so did his counterpart, Pablo Lopez, and neither starter left victorious in this pitcher's duel. Despite the no-decision, Teheran really needed this kind of start, though, as he had yielded 12 runs in 17.2 innings across three starts prior to Sunday. He is 2-4 with a 4.63 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 48 strikeouts in 44.2 innings this year. Teheran will make his next start against the Diamondbacks on the road Friday.

  • Rockies' German Marquez: Fans nine in no-decision

Marquez threw six innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Sunday, giving up five earned runs on seven hits in Colorado's 8-7 victory. He struck out nine and walked two.

The right-hander punched out nine batters but served up long balls to Eduardo Escobar and Blake Swihart, costing him a chance at a quality start. The outing pushes Marquez's ERA up to 3.46 through 52 innings ahead of his next start, which will see him take on the Padres at home on Saturday.

  • Jordan Lyles RP | KC

Pirates' Jordan Lyles: Turns in quality start

Lyles surrendered one run on five hits and three walks while striking out three over 6.2 innings Sunday against Oakland. He didn't factor into the decision.

Lyles cruised through six scoreless innings before giving up his only run on a single to left in the seventh. His offense didn't help him out in this one, plating just one run through the first 12 innings of the contest before rallying for a four-run 13th inning. Though he didn't pick up the win, Lyles now owns a 2.20 ERA and 1.16 WHIP with 29 strikeouts over 32.2 innings this season.

  • Zach Davies SP | WAS

Brewers' Zach Davies: Cruises to fourth victory

Davies (4-0) allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five over 7.2 innings Sunday in a win over the Mets.

Davies turned in yet another stellar outing, surrendering a run in the fifth and the seventh before departing with a 3-2 lead. The 26-year-old right-hander has yet to give up more than two runs in an outing this season and sports a 1.56 ERA with 26 punchouts over 40.1 frames. He'll aim to keep it rolling in his next start, a tough draw Saturday against the Cubs.
