Dustin May SP | MIL
Dodgers' Dustin May: Lights out in Double-A start
May covered 6.2 scoreless frames and scattered four hits and two walks while striking out six in Double-A Tulsa's 8-1 win over Northwest Arkansas.
Through his first four outings in the Texas League, May has posted a 2.82 ERA and 19:7 K:BB across 22.1 innings. The 20-year-old righty checks in at 6-foot-6 and 180 pounds and uses that frame to generate mid-to-high-90s heat from his fastball, but there are some concerns about May being able to consistently repeat his delivery.

Touki Toussaint RP | LAA
Braves' Touki Toussaint: Not in line for weekend start
The Braves don't list Toussaint as a probable starter during their four-game series with the Marlins that begins Thursday.
Shortly after Toussaint was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett last week, Mark Bowman of MLB.com relayed that the right-hander would likely be recalled to rejoin the Atlanta rotation Thursday or Friday. It appears that plan may no longer be in the works, though Toussaint should be the top choice for starts if the big club opts to add another pitcher to the rotation over the final month of the season. Toussaint dazzled in his MLB debut Aug. 13 against Miami, tossing six innings of one-run ball.

Zach Davies SP | WAS
Brewers' Zach Davies: Looks dominant in rehab start
Davies (shoulder) worked six innings Wednesday in his rehab start for Double-A Biloxi and gave up one run on two hits and one walk while striking out nine.
Making the sixth start of his current rehab assignment, Davies looked sharp while working longer than he had in any of his previous five outings. With Davies covering 90 pitches in the appearance, it appears he has built up to a starter's workload and could be ready to make his next turn with the big club. The Brewers have yet to officially announce their plans for Davies, who may not be guaranteed a rotation spot once he's reinstated to the active roster.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Another impressive rehab outing
Wainwright (elbow) fired three scoreless innings in Double-A Springfield's loss to Northwest Arkansas on Wednesday, allowing two hits and recording three strikeouts.
Wainwright worked up to 44 pitches, his highest thus far in any minor-league appearance during his current rehab. The veteran right-hander has now put together four scoreless appearances overall between High-A Palm Beach and Double-A Springfield, but he'll likely remain in the minors until big-league rosters expand Sept. 1.

Noah Syndergaard SP | CLE
Mets' Noah Syndergaard: Grabs ninth win
Syndergaard (9-3) picked up the win Wednesday in a 5-3 victory over the Giants, giving up two runs on five hits and a walk over six innings while striking out six.
It's the first time in five August starts Syndergaard has given up fewer than three runs. His 4.50 ERA and 28:7 K:BB in 32 innings on the month aren't what fantasy GMs have come to expect from a healthy Thor, but he'll try to build some momentum in his next outing Monday on the road against the Cubs.

Jack Flaherty SP | DET
Cardinals' Jack Flaherty: Strikes out 10 in Los Angeles
Flaherty allowed one run on one hit -- a solo homer -- over six innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Wednesday. He struck out 10 and walked two.
Flaherty was absolutely dominant for most of the night, inducing a whopping 25 swinging strikes on 101 pitches to reach double-digit strikeouts for the third time this season. The lone blemish came in the sixth inning when Joc Pederson smacked a long ball to break a scoreless tie. Flaherty now has a 2.97 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 144:41 K:BB in 115.1 innings, and at 22 years old, is looking like the new ace in St. Louis. Up next is a home start against the Pirates.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Brilliant in no-decision
Buehler gave up three hits and two walks while striking out nine over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Wednesday.
The crowd at Dodger Stadium witnessed a pitchers' duel between two of the most exciting young starters in the game, with Buehler and Jack Flaherty both turning in gems. Buehler got 22 called strikes and 11 swinging strikes on 104 pitches and left the game in line for his seventh win, but Scott Alexander blew the lead in the eighth. With a total of four earned runs allowed in his last five starts (32.1 innings), Buehler has brought his ERA back below 3.00, and he has now surpassed 100 strikeouts. He gets the Rangers in Texas next week.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Shaky return from DL
Strasburg didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Phillies, surrendering five runs on seven hits and a walk over four innings while striking out five.
The right-hander didn't have his best stuff as he made his first start in a little over a month, managing only eight swinging strikes out of 84 pitches and getting tagged for four extra-base hits, including two homers. Strasburg's velocity noticeably dipped in his final inning as well, although manager Dave Martinez suggested after the game this was only due to the pitcher getting tired, as per Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post. Assuming he is able to remain healthy, Strasburg will next take the mound Monday in a road rematch with the Phillies.
-
Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Phillies' Zach Eflin: Chased early by Nats
Eflin didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 8-7 loss to the Nationals, coughing up five runs (four earned) on 10 hits and two walks over 3.1 innings while striking out two.
It's the first time all season the right-hander has been tagged for double-digit hits, while it's only the second time in his last 13 starts he's failed to complete at least five innings. Eflin will take a 3.93 ERA into his next outing Monday back home in a rematch with the Nats.

Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Strong effort in no-decision against Braves
Williams didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Braves, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over six innings while striking out four.
The 26-year-old's incredible run continues. Williams has now given up two runs or fewer in seven straight starts, posting a minuscule 0.86 ERA with a 1.10 WHIP and 22:13 K:BB in 42 innings over that stretch. He'll face a tough test in his next outing Wednesday in St. Louis.
