Aaron Nola SP | PHI
Phillies' Aaron Nola: Picks up 13th win
Nola (13-3) allowed four hits and three walks while striking out five over six scoreless innings in a win over the Padres on Saturday.
He labored a bit early and ran his pitch count up, but Nola settled in and ultimately made his layup in San Diego. The 25-year-old has emerged as a legitimate No. 1 starter in fantasy this season and is looking like a top-three Cy Young candidate in the National League. Nola currently ranks second in the NL in wins, second in ERA and fifth in strikeouts. He draws another favorable matchup in the Mets at home next week.

Kyle Freeland SP | COL
Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Fans 10 in no-decision
Freeland allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out 10 over seven innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Saturday.
He got off to a rocky start, allowing three extra-base hits (including a homer) in his first two innings, but Freeland settled in and faced just three more than the minimum over his final five frames. The 10 strikeouts established a new career high. Freeland hadn't struck out more than five in a start since June 10 and the underlying numbers suggest he's overachieving to a significant extent with the seventh-best ERA in the National League (3.02), but he outpitched the indicators last year as well. The 25-year-old will look to keep it going in Atlanta next weekend.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Fine after collision during excellent outing
Buehler said he felt OK after his collision with Max Muncy on Saturday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports. Buehler didn't factor into the decision despite throwing seven scoreless innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out six.
The right-hander seemed to shrug off the hard contact he made with his teammate. "I was just happy he went down," he said. "If I was the only one on the ground, that would have been pretty embarrassing." Buehler doesn't appear in jeopardy of missing his next assignment, slated for Friday in Seattle.

Steven Matz RP | TB
Mets' Steven Matz: On track to start Thursday
Matz (forearm) completed a 56-pitch simulated game Saturday and is set to return from the disabled list to start Thursday's game at Philadelphia, Matt Ehalt of The Bergen Record reports.
Matz hit the DL at the start of August with a mild flexor-pronator strain and the Mets played things cautiously to avoid rushing him back. Manager Mickey Callaway has also indicated the team is considering keeping Corey Oswalt as a starter by moving to a six-man rotation.

Hyun-Jin Ryu SP | TOR
Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu: Won't have another rehab start
Ryu (groin) won't make another minor-league rehab start and could come off the disabled list this week, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Manager Dave Roberts indicated Ryu could start against the Giants on Wednesday but also listed Ross Stripling and Kenta Maeda as options to start. Alex Wood (hamstring) is set to come off the DL on Tuesday and Maeda seems poised to shift to the bullpen, but it remains to be seen if the team opts for a six-man rotation or shifts another starter to the bullpen.

Alex Wood RP | ATH
Dodgers' Alex Wood: Set to start Tuesday
Wood (hamstring) will be activated off the disabled list to start Tuesday's game against San Francisco, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Wood will spend the minimum 10 days on the disabled list due to left adductor tendinitis. The 27-year-old had a 2.48 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and .613 opponent OPS in his last nine starts prior to landing on the disabled list.

Zach Eflin SP | BAL
Phillies' Zach Eflin: Moves to Triple-A in procedural move
Eflin was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.
The Phillies needed a roster spot for the acquisition of Justin Bour, and Thursday's doubleheader against the Mets will allow the team to recall Eflin as the 26th man. The 24-year-old won't be skipped in the starting rotation but must remain in the minors until that twin bill, barring an injury move from the Phillies.

Adrian Houser SP | SF
Brewers' Adrian Houser: Returns to Triple-A
Houser was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Saturday.
Houser called up Friday and tossed 2.2 scoreless innings during the 10-1 loss to the Braves, so the Brewers will send him back to the minors in favor of a fresh arm. The 25-year-old has a 3.29 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 8:7 K:BB over 13.2 innings across multiple stints with the Brewers this season.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Live BP set for Tuesday
Darvish (shoulder) will throw a live batting practice session Tuesday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
The Cubs previously reported Darvish's session would be Sunday, but later clarified the correct day to be Tuesday. The veteran right-hander has been throwing bullpen sessions and live batting practice over the last couple weeks, but it remains unclear when he's likely to begin a rehab assignment.

Kolby Allard RP | CLE
Braves' Kolby Allard: Rejoins big club
Allard was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.
Allard has made two appearances (one start) with the Braves this year and has allowed nine runs (eight earned) on fifteen hits over seven innings. The left-hander -- who turns 21 next week -- will likely serve as a low-leverage or long-relief option for Atlanta.
