Wade Miley SP | CIN
Brewers' Wade Miley: Longer absence expected
The Brewers expect Miley (oblique) to be out 6-to-8 weeks, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The initial timeline put forth by Milwaukee was 4-to-6 weeks, but that was only ever a rough estimate. Miley is now likely looking at a return in late June at the earliest, as the Brewers turn to Brent Suter and Brandon Woodruff in the starting rotation with Zach Davies (shoulder) yet to come off the disabled list.

Jack Flaherty SP | DET
Cardinals' Jack Flaherty: Will start for Cards on Tuesday
Flaherty will be recalled from Triple-A Memphis and start for the Cardinals against the Twins on Tuesday, Jim Hayes of FOX Sports Midwest reports.
The Cardinals currently have Adam Wainwright (elbow) and Carlos Martinez (lat) on the disabled list -- though Wainwright is slated to start Sunday -- paving the way for Flaherty. The 22-year-old has allowed four runs on 10 hits and five walks in his two starts in the majors this season, each of which lasted five innings.

Adam Wainwright SP | STL
Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Confirmed for Sunday's start
Wainwright (elbow) will start Sunday against the Padres, Jim Hayes of FOX Sports Midwest reports.
Wainwright's bullpen session Thursday apparently went according to plan, as he is now officially scheduled to take the mound Sunday. The 36-year-old had a 3.45 ERA and 1.53 WHIP across 15.2 innings (three starts) with 12 strikeouts before landing on the disabled list mid-April.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Continues throwing Friday
Kershaw (biceps) played catch Friday for the third consecutive day, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Kershaw underwent an MRI on Tuesday which revealed no structural damage and has now played catch in each of the three days since the examination. There remains no official timeline for the return of the Dodgers' ace, but he has appeared to avoid any setbacks thus far.

Jameson Taillon SP | TOR
Pirates' Jameson Taillon: Exits with finger laceration
Taillon exited Friday's start against the Giants with a finger laceration on his right hand.
Taillon recorded five strikeouts and allowed one hit and one walk over three innings prior to leaving with the finger issue. The severity of the laceration remains unclear and the 26-year-old should be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Anthony DeSclafani RP | ARI
Reds' Anthony DeSclafani: Scheduled to begin minor-league rehab assignment
DeSclafani (oblique) is set to begin a minor-league rehab assignment at Double-A Pensacola on Monday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
After throwing 29 pitches in a bullpen session last Friday, DeSclafani is now ready to pitch in the minors leagues. The 28-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors in over a year and a half, and he is ineligible to return until May 28. Once he's back with the big-league club, DeSclafani will look to build on a 2016 campaign that saw him post a 105:30 K:BB and 3.28 ERA across 20 starts.
-
Michael Lorenzen RP | TOR
Reds' Michael Lorenzen: Scheduled to begin rehab assignment
Lorenzen (shoulder) is scheduled to begin a minor-league rehab assignment at Double-A Pensacola on Monday, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Lorenzen threw live batting practice this past Monday, and he will now take the next step and begin a minor-league rehab assignment at Double-A. Assuming all goes well in Pensacola, the 26-year-old should be right on track for a late-May return. Once he's back, Lorenzen will look to improve upon the 6.32 ERA he posted in the second half of last season.

Jacob deGrom SP | TEX
Mets' Jacob deGrom: Set for Sunday's start
DeGrom (elbow) threw a bullpen session Friday and will come off the disabled list to start Sunday's game in Philadelphia, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
The bullpen session was a success, as was his simulated game earlier in the week, so deGrom's owners will get a start from him Sunday against Aaron Nola and the Phillies.

Jerad Eickhoff SP | PIT
Phillies' Jerad Eickhoff: Set for rehab start Monday
Eickhoff (lat) will throw three innings in a rehab start for High-A Clearwater on Monday, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.
Eickhoff has yet to pitch this season while dealing with a lat strain. The team expects him to be back in late May, and a short rehab start Monday would seem to put him on schedule to do that. He's been purely a starter in his major-league career so far and projected to be the Phillies' number three starter coming into the year, but his rotation spot is now reportedly not guaranteed, with Nick Pivetta, Vince Velasquez and Zach Eflin all pitching well lately.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Will start Tuesday against Braves
Darvish (illness) will toe the rubber in Atlanta on Tuesday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
Darvish was placed on the disabled list earlier this week due to a parainfluenza virus, though he should be back to 100 percent well before Tuesday's outing. During his previous start versus Colorado on May 2, he allowed five earned runs off seven hits -- including three home runs -- and three walks while striking out eight in 4.1 innings.
