Trevor Williams RP | TEX
Pirates' Trevor Williams: Hit hard again Wednesday
Williams didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the White Sox, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings while striking out three.
For the second straight start, the right-hander gave up two homers, and Williams was in line for his third loss of the season before the Pirates rallied in the ninth inning. The 26-year-old still carries a solid 3.13 ERA, and he'll get a rare interleague rematch against the White Sox in his next start Tuesday back in Pittsburgh.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Pirates' Joe Musgrove: Bumps rehab to Indy
Musgrove (shoulder) is expected to make a rehabilitation start for Triple-A Indianapolis this weekend.
He needed only 34 pitches to complete four innings of one-run ball for Double-A Altoona on Monday. Because of his efficiency, he threw an additional bullpen following his appearance for the Curve. Musgrove is tentatively set to start two Triple-A games before making his season debut for Pittsburgh, but he'll need to make it through both games without pain.

Zack Wheeler SP | PHI
Mets' Zack Wheeler: Fans seven in bounce-back effort
Wheeler allowed one run on four hits and three walks across six innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the Reds. He struck out seven.
It was a nice bounce-back effort from Wheeler, who was tagged for eight runs on 10 hits -- including a pair of homers -- across six innings in his previous outing. He still owns an unsightly 5.03 ERA through 34 innings this season, but if you exclude last week's implosion, the 27-year-old owns a much more respectable 3.54 ERA and 28:11 K:BB across his other five starts (28 innings). He'll look to keep things rolling in his next start, which should come at home against the Blue Jays.

Clayton Kershaw SP | LAD
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Plays catch Wednesday
Kershaw (biceps) played catch Wednesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Kershaw landed on the disabled list over the weekend with biceps tendinitis, but a recent MRI revealed he avoided any structural damage. According to Gurnick, the 30-year-old started at 30 feet and worked out to 60 feet, where he threw for about five minutes before calling it quits. While this is certainly an encouraging step for the ace, he remains without a concrete timetable for his return.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Brewers' Wade Miley: Out 4-6 weeks
Miley (oblique) will miss 4-to-6 weeks, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
This is a rough estimate on the part of the Brewers' medical staff, but it sounds like Miley will be back in mid-to-late June. He only recorded one out before exiting Tuesday's start with the oblique strain. Once healthy, he will be an option to slot into the big-league rotation.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Brewers' Wade Miley: Hits disabled list
Miley was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right oblique strain.
Miley lasted just one out into his second start of the season before suffering the injury. He underwent an MRI on Tuesday night and is likely to miss more than a few weeks, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Brent Suter is the likely candidate to fill in for him in the rotation. Depending on Miley's timeline, there's a chance that there isn't a rotation spot for him to return to once he's healthy, as Jimmy Nelson is expected to be back from his shoulder injury in early July.

Zach Davies SP | WAS
Brewers' Zach Davies: Throws bullpen session
Davies (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Wednesday without issues, and if he feels fine Thursday, he will start the following day against the Rockies, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
The Brewers were hoping Davies would miss just one start when they placed him on the disabled list last week, and as of now it appears that will be the case, with no setbacks reported since. An official announcement regarding Davies' status for Friday's contest figures to be made at some point Thursday.

Dustin May SP | MIL
Dodgers' Dustin May: Healthy in Cal League
May (undisclosed) returned to action for High-A Rancho Cucamonga and allowed three earned runs on six hits and one walk with four strikeouts in 3.2 innings in his first start of the season.
He has now made three appearances at High-A, dating back to the end of the 2017 campaign. At 6-foot-6, 180 pounds, May has a projectable frame and the Dodgers have a history of extracting a little extra velocity from their pitching prospects, and that will be key for him to reach his ceiling as a mid-rotation starter. He should spend all of this season pitching in the California League.

Luis Castillo SP | CHW
Reds' Luis Castillo: Strikes out seven in win over Mets
Castillo (2-4) allowed two runs on three hits and one walk across 5.2 innings while earning the win Tuesday against the Mets. He struck out seven.
Castillo was excellent through the early going, retiring the first 14 batters he faced in order. He took a shutout into the sixth inning, but allowed a solo home run, a single and a walk before he was removed with two outs. Castillo endured a poor start to the season, but he's begun to turn things around of late, allowing four earned runs with a 14:2 K:BB ratio in 11.2 innings over his last two outings. He'll take a still unsightly 7.01 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP into his scheduled start Sunday against the Dodgers.

Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD
Pirates' Tyler Glasnow: Picks up win in relief
Glasnow (1-1) earned the win Tuesday, throwing 2.1 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit and striking out three against the White Sox.
Starter Ivan Nova lasted just two innings and exited with the Pirates trailing 5-4, but Glasnow was able to quiet the White Sox bats until Pittsburgh reclaimed the lead. It was a nice bounce-back effort, as the 24-year-old had given up six runs in just one inning in his last appearance. He now sports a 6.75 ERA with 26 strikeouts in 18.2 innings this season.
