Lance Lynn SP | STL
Cardinals' Lance Lynn: Bombed in second straight start
Lynn (5-5) allowed seven runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three batters over 5.2 innings during Saturday's loss to Pittsburgh.
After posting a 2.69 ERA and allowing just 22 earned runs over 73.2 innings through his first 13 starts of the season, Lynn has now surrendered 14 runs in his past two outings. While his recent struggles are extreme, Lynn sports a 5.54 FIP for the season, and his .219 BABIP is an unsustainably low mark. There are legitimate concerns, and a daunting date with the Diamondbacks at Chase Field is up next for Lynn. Being selective with his matchups going forward is advised.

Gerrit Cole SP | NYY
Pirates' Gerrit Cole: Collects sixth win
Cole (6-6) allowed a single run on five hits and two walks while striking out five batters through six innings during Saturday's win over St. Louis.
Outside of a disastrous four-game stretch when Cole allowed 23 runs in 19 innings, the 26-year-old righty has been outstanding. After all, to sport a 4.11 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with that disastrous span on the books highlights how strong the rest of Cole's body of work has been. Additionally, he's now surrendered just three runs in 20 innings over his last three starts. Cole lines up for a cushy matchup at home against the reeling Giants in his next start.

Johnny Cueto SP | LAA
Giants' Johnny Cueto: Chips ERA down to 4.20
Cueto allowed a single run on five hits and three walks while striking out three batters over seven innings during Saturday's loss to the Mets. He didn't factor into the decision.
The veteran righty has held opponents to three runs or fewer in 11 of 16 starts this season and boasts a 4.20 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 8.3 K/9. Add his 5-7 record, and it's been the definition of a mediocre campaign. The Giants are a basement-dwelling club that isn't providing sufficient run support, and Cueto has merely pitched well and not great. With an opt-out clause in his contract following this season, there could be incentive for San Francisco to move Cueto to a potential contender for future assets. Considering he's no stranger to relocating, his fantasy value could skyrocket with a deal to a better club. Cueto projects to make his next start against the Pirates at PNC Park.

Jacob deGrom SP | TEX
Mets' Jacob deGrom: Picks up seventh win
DeGrom (7-3) allowed just one run on four hits and a walk while striking out seven batters through eight innings during Saturday's win over the Giants.
It's always reassuring when a high-end hurler cruises against a weak opponent, and that's exactly what deGrom accomplished Saturday. There have been a few hiccups along the way, which has his ratios higher -- 3.71 ERA and 1.27 WHIP -- than fantasy owners would like, but he's also sporting a career-high 10.5 K/9. DeGrom is one of the rare set-and-forget starting pitchers and has now allowed just two earned runs in 25 innings over his last three starts.

Kenta Maeda SP | NYY
Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Will start Tuesday
Maeda will start Tuesday's game against the Angels, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The move allows the Dodgers starters to receive an extra day of rest, a much-needed relief since the team doesn't have an off day until July 3. It appears this could be Maeda's purpose on the team going forward, mainly serving as a long reliever, but getting a spot start when deemed necessary. The right-hander will need to improve upon his 4.87 ERA as a starter this season if he wants to work his way back into the regular rotation.
-
Taijuan Walker SP | LAA
Diamondbacks' Taijuan Walker: Next start set for Tuesday
Walker will make his next start Tuesday against the Cardinals, Jack Magruder of FanRagSports.com reports.
Walker was scratched from his regularly scheduled Sunday start to give him some extra rest, allowing Randall Delgado to take the mound instead. Nonetheless, it looks like a couple days will be all that's needed for the young right-hander, as he'll face St. Louis ace Carlos Martinez instead. It will mark Walker's first career start against the Cardinals.

Justin Nicolino SP | CIN
Marlins' Justin Nicolino: Last four innings in no-decision Saturday
Nicolino (0-1) allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits while striking out four across four innings in a no-decision against the Cubs on Saturday.
Nicolino was provided a 3-1 lead in the first inning, but gave up a pair of runs in the fourth frame to end his day after 64 pitches. For the fourth start in a row, he was pulled before reaching the fifth inning, so between the lack of usage and his 4.95 ERA, he doesn't offer much upside to fantasy owners. He'll make his next start Friday against the Brewers.

Tyler Anderson SP | LAA
Rockies' Tyler Anderson: Named Sunday's starter
Anderson was confirmed as the starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Anderson is set to rejoin the Rockies' rotation after initially serving out of the bullpen following his return from the disabled list. Manager Bud Black hasn't said what his plans are for Anderson following Sunday's start, but he could solidify himself in the rotation if he pitches well. The 27-year-old compiled a 5.85 ERA and 59:29 K:BB through 11 starts (60 innings) before landing on the DL earlier in the season.
-
Luis Castillo SP | CHW
Reds' Luis Castillo: Sticking in rotation
Manager Bryan Price said Castillo will stay in the Reds' starting rotation for now, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Castillo earned a spot start Friday after Asher Wojciechowski was designated for assignment, and the 24-year-old prospect pitched well enough to keep pitching for the big club. He allowed two runs on five hits and five walks while striking out five in his major-league debut. His next start is scheduled to come Wednesday against the Brewers.

Brandon Finnegan SP | CHW
Reds' Brandon Finnegan: Confirmed for Monday's start
Finnegan (shoulder) was confirmed as the starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Cardinals, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Finnegan, who has been sidelined since mid-April, was able to get through a trio of minor-league rehab starts with no issue, clearing the way for him to rejoin the Reds' starting rotation. The 24-year-old compiled a 2.70 ERA and 14:9 K:BB across three starts (10 innings) before landing on the DL earlier in the season.
