  • Robbie Ray SP | SD

Diamondbacks' Robbie Ray: Blanks Friars through 7.2 innings

Ray (3-3) allowed just two hits and three walks while striking out six batters through 7.2 scoreless innings during Saturday's win over San Diego.

Arizona scored five runs in the top of the first inning, and Ray put it in cruise control after that. This was a nice rebound showing from the lefty, too. He had surrendered nine runs through nine innings over his previous two starts and saw his ERA balloon from 3.47 to 4.57 during that stretch. Chase Field is a difficult venue in which to excel, and Ray owns a career 5.42 ERA and 1.58 WHIP over 31 starts there. Avoiding him at home isn't out of the question going forward, especially against daunting opponents. He currently sports a 1.03 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 11.6 K/9 over four road outings this season, though. Ray lines up to face Milwaukee at Miller Park next week.

  • Cardinals' Carlos Martinez: Stellar in Saturday no-decision

Martinez didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's extra-inning loss to the Giants, but gave up just two hits and a walk over nine scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Martinez was masterful over 93 pitches, but due to a complete lack of run support, he still walked away without a victory. The hard-throwing right-hander now has three starts this season in which he hasn't surrendered an earned run, yet has notched a win in just one of those outings. The 25-year-old does have five straight quality starts and will look to get above .500 for the first time this season in a Thursday road start versus the Dodgers.

  • Zack Wheeler SP | PHI

Mets' Zack Wheeler: Picks up third win

Wheeler (3-2) allowed two runs on four hits and five walks while striking out five batters through five innings during Saturday's win over the Angels.

Wheeler has put together a solid stretch of starts with just five earned runs allowed and 19 strikeouts over 21.2 innings over his last four outings. He sports a 3.74 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 8.3 K/9 for the season, and the 26-year-old righty's fantasy value continues to trend up. Wheeler needs to cut down on his 4.2 BB/9 to pitch deeper into games, but expecting him to fine tune his craft going forward ins't out of the question. He missed the entire 2015 and 2016 campaigns, after all. Wheeler lines up to make his next start on the road against Pittsburgh.

  • Julio Teheran SP | BAL

Braves' Julio Teheran: Start moved to Wednesday

Teheran switched spots in Atlanta's rotation with R.A. Dickey and is now scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Pirates, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

The Braves altering their rotation will result in Teheran's next start being pushed back a day, as he'd initially been tabbed to return to the mound Tuesday. Teheran's season has gotten off to an unusually rocky start, as he's sporting a lofty 5.47 ERA and 1.52 WHIP to go with a 3-4 record.

  • Daniel Corcino SP | LAD

Dodgers' Daniel Corcino: Inks minor league deal with Dodgers

Corcino signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers and was assigned to High-A Rancho Cucamonga, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Corcino hasn't appeared in the majors since 2014, so it's unlikely he'll do much more than provide organizational depth. Corcino began the season in the Cubs' organization and played at Double-A Tennessee, where he posted an 8.68 ERA and 1.61 WHIP over five games (9.1 innings).

  • Marlins' Odrisamer Despaigne: Heads down to Triple-A

Despaigne was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans on Saturday.

In order to make room for Vance Worley on the 25-man roster, the Marlins opted to send Despaigne down. Despaigne has given up five runs over 5.2 innings for Miami this season.

  • Vance Worley SP | NYM

Marlins' Vance Worley: Recalled from Triple-A to start Sunday

Worley's contract was selected from Triple-A New Orleans on Saturday.

Worley has been tabbed as Miami's starter for Sunday's outing against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports. He has started eight games with New Orleans this season, during which he's posted a 4.43 ERA and 1.43 WHIP. Worley has struggled to retire the opposition, as batters have hit .305 with him on the mound. In a corresponding move, Odrisamer Despaigne was sent down.

  • Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Struggles with control Saturday

Senzatela (6-1) allowed four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five across five innings in a no-decision against the Reds on Saturday.

Senzatela struggled with control issues, but left the game with an 8-4 lead that the bullpen promptly blew in the sixth inning, keeping him from earning his seventh victory. After a blazing start to the season, the rookie has now allowed four earned runs in three of his last five starts to raise his ERA from 2.08 to 3.67. Although Senzatela is still a good fantasy option, fantasy owners should consider trading him if they feel his struggles will become a trend. He'll make his next start Friday against the Cardinals.

  • Phillies' Vince Velasquez: Lit up for five runs in Saturday loss

Velasquez (2-2) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.1 innings to take the loss Saturday against the Pirates.

Velasquez was solid the first time through the lineup, but fell apart after that, leading to his second loss of the season. He's now allowed at least five runs in three of his last seven starts, and despite his upside, he's a volatile fantasy option. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Rockies.

  • Chase Anderson RP | TEX

Brewers' Chase Anderson: Start bumped back to Sunday

Anderson has been confirmed as the starter for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Saturday's scheduled start was postponed due to inclement weather in Chicago, so the Brewers will opt to keep Anderson on turn and bump him back to Sunday. Anderson will be opposed by Jake Arrieta when the two teams meet in the series finale. The 29-year-old Anderson has a 4.09 ERA on the road this season, but he's also managed to fan 23 batters in 22 innings away from Miller Park.
