Kolek (3-1) allowed six runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three over 5.1 innings to earn the win Tuesday over the Marlins.

Kolek was terrible in the first inning, which is when he allowed all six runs. He allowed just three more baserunners on a hit, a walk and an error over the last 4.1 innings of his start, and the Padres' comeback effort rewarded him with a win. He was able to avoid giving up a home run for the fourth time in five starts, but he's been tagged for 15 runs (14 earned) over his last three outings. Kolek is now at a 4.11 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 24:10 K:BB through 30.2 innings this season. He is tentatively projected to make his next start on the road in San Francisco.

Parker (4-4) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over 4.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Mariners.

Parker yielded three home runs in the loss, including two to Cal Raleigh. Those long balls accounted for all of the damage on Parker's line, as he failed to complete five innings for the fourth time in five outings in May. He's also given up at least three runs in each of those starts, though he had surrendered just two homers all season prior to Tuesday. Parker is now at a 4.65 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 40:26 K:BB through 60 innings over 11 starts. His next outing is projected to be at Arizona this weekend.

Horton didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Rockies after allowing two runs on four hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out six.

Horton set a season high in punchouts as well as innings pitched, also recording his first quality start of the year. Through the first four starts of his major-league career, the rookie right-hander owns a serviceable 3.98 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 16:4 K:BB covering 20.1 frames. Horton has drawn some favorable matchups in the early going, having faced the White Sox, Marlins and Rockies in three of his outings, and he's lined up to see another fairly unimposing assignment against the Nationals in his next scheduled appearance.

Marquez didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Cubs after allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out six.

It was Marquez's first quality start on the road since his first outing of the season, and he also established a season high in punchouts. Tuesday also marked the veteran right-hander's third time throwing at least six innings while giving up two runs or fewer in his last four appearances, during which he has a respectable 3.52 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 14:7 K:BB over 23 frames. Marquez is also set to work away from hitter-friendly Coors Field in his next scheduled start, which lines up for next week against the Marlins.

Pallante did not factor in the decision during Tuesday's win over Baltimore. He allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out seven over 5.2 innings.

Pallante worked through three scoreless frames before the Orioles scored an unearned run in the fourth inning. He then served up a three-run shot to Ryan O'Hearn in the fifth. Pallante tied his season high with seven punchouts while generating 12 whiffs on 91 total pitches. He's thrown exactly 5.2 innings in his last two appearances after completing seven frames in each of his previous two starts. Pallante's ERA sits at 4.23 with a lackluster 42:23 K:BB through 61.2 frames. He's lined up for a home start against the Royals next week.

May (3-4) allowed three runs on four hits and two walks over five innings Tuesday, striking out nine and earning a win over Cleveland.

May worked through three scoreless frames before coughing up a three-run shot to Daniel Schneemann in the fourth inning. Beyond that, May didn't face much trouble as he struck out a season-high nine batters. He's posted an impressive 25:5 K:BB over his last three starts, but he's given up eight runs over 16 frames during that span. May is sporting a 4.20 ERA with a 58:20 K:BB through 55.2 innings this season. He's lined up to face the Mets at home next week, when he'll look for a third straight win.

Webb (5-5) yielded three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings Tuesday, striking out 10 and taking a loss against Detroit.

Webb gave up a run in each of the first three frames but still delivered a strong fantasy performance. He reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time this season and first since April 18. Webb threw 64 of 104 pitches for strikes and generated a season-high 20 whiffs, including nine each with the changeup and sweeper. The veteran righty owns a 2.82 ERA with an impressive 84:17 K:BB through 73.1 innings. Webb has produced eight quality starts in 12 outings this season. He's currently slated to face the Padres at home next week.

Nola (ankle) said Tuesday he will need a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the big-league rotation, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Nola said he felt something in his sprained right ankle after throwing off a mound and is hopeful he'll be able to throw a higher-intensity bullpen session Thursday. The Phillies have the luxury of being patient with Nola, as Taijuan Walker has a 3.24 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 16.2 innings through four appearances this month. Nola won't be able to return when first eligible, but he could potentially return in the second week of June.

Verlander (pectoral) threw around 40 pitches in a bullpen session Tuesday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Verlander said he is "trending forward," and there are a couple more boxes to check before he can determine if he'll be ready to rejoin the rotation sometime next week. He had an uncharacteristic 9:8 K:BB in 15 innings over his three most recent starts before landing on the IL.

Gasser (elbow) was cleared to resume throwing bullpen sessions back in mid-April, MLB.com reports.

Updates on Gasser's status have been limited since the conclusion of spring training, as he's remained in Arizona to conduct his rehab program for his June 2024 Tommy John surgery. He advanced to throwing off flat ground out to 120 feet by the end of camp and has presumably been ramping up the intensity of his bullpen sessions over the past six weeks. The next step in Gasser's recovery process will be facing live hitters, but it's unclear when he'll be ready to do so. Gasser is unlikely to make his return from the 60-day injured list until August or September in a best-case scenario.
