Burnes (shoulder) remains on track to make his next start Saturday against the Dodgers in Arizona, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Burnes was initially slated to make his seventh start of the season Monday, but the Diamondbacks ended up skipping his turn after he was diagnosed with right shoulder inflammation following an MRI late last week. Following the MRI, Burnes received a cortisone shot to address the shoulder issue, and the injection appears to have had the desired effect. He's scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, and if all goes well, the Diamondbacks will lock him in for a start this weekend.

Young (shoulder) was placed on Triple-A Norfolk's 7-day injured list Tuesday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Young is working through right shoulder discomfort, which he experienced following Friday's start against Charlotte. The injury isn't severe enough to warrant an MRI at this point, but he will rest for an extended period of time before embarking on a rehab program. Young is 2-1 across four starts in Triple-A this season with a 2.82 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 22:4 K:BB across 22.1 innings.

The Diamondbacks recalled Mena from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

With Tommy Henry headed back to the minors, the Diamondbacks will call upon Mena to presumably serve as a long reliever for the big-league squad. The 22-year-old righty gave up four earned runs in three innings during his MLB debut last season, and he's turned in a 5.76 ERA through 29.2 innings in Triple-A this year.

Eflin (lat) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday and said he's "as close as I can be" to coming off the injured list, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The right-hander made a rehab start with High-A Aberdeen on Sunday and threw 58 pitches while allowing two hits and two walks with four strikeouts over four scoreless innings. Eflin could rejoin Baltimore's rotation as early as this weekend in Anaheim, but it's also possible he's sent for another rehab start to further build up his pitch count before being reinstated from the injured list.

Knack is scheduled to be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to pitch in Wednesday's game against the Marlins, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

The right-hander joined the Dodgers as a member of the taxi squad Tuesday and will make his fourth MLB appearance of the season a day later. Manager Dave Roberts said a decision has yet to be made on whether Knack will start the contest or follow an opener. The 27-year-old has given up seven earned runs with a 7:6 K:BB across 8.2 big-league frames this year.

Jobe won't start as scheduled Tuesday against the Rockies since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday, with Jobe likely being pushed back a day to start Wednesday's contest. The right-hander has made just one start since April 18, when he gave up three earned runs with a 4:4 K:BB across four innings in Houston.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Winans is an option to join the rotation after Carlos Carrasco was designated for assignment, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Boone also mentioned Ryan Yarbrough as a possibility to make starts for the club. Marcus Stroman (knee) has resumed throwing off a mound and could rejoin the rotation later this month, but the Yankees will need someone else to fill the spot for at least a couple turns. Winans has yet to give up an earned run in 14 innings this season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, collecting a 24:5 K:BB along the way.

Dollander will not start Tuesday versus the Tigers after the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday. Dollander will likely be simply pushed back a day to start Wednesday. However, he did exit his last outing with a split fingernail, so the Rockies might elect to give him extra rest.

Ashby (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with the Brewers' Arizona Complex League affiliate on Tuesday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Ashby has been out since early March with a right oblique strain but has finally been cleared to appear in a game. The left-hander's rehab assignment figures to be a lengthy one given how much time he's missed, but he could be back before the end of May. Ashby was competing for a spot in the Brewers' rotation before he got hurt, but it's not clear whether they'll bring him back as a starter or reliever.

Knack has joined the Dodgers in Miami and is a candidate to start Wednesday's game, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Knack has not been added to the active roster, and the Dodgers have not divulged pitching plans for Wednesday's series finale, but Knack is a logical candidate to take the ball that day, whether it's as a traditional starter or bulk reliever. The righty has yielded seven runs with a 7:6 K:BB over 8.2 innings covering two starts and one relief appearance with the big club in 2025.
