Smith did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Red Sox, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Smith held his own in a pitchers' duel with Garrett Crochet through four innings but couldn't escape the fifth after surrendering a three-run homer. The rookie was lifted at 73 pitches and has now topped 80 pitches just once, despite pitching into the sixth frame in each of his previous three starts. He'll carry a 2.82 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 15:8 K:BB over 22.1 innings into a road matchup with the Twins next week.

Crochet did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the White Sox, allowing four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts across six scoreless innings.

Crochet dominated his former team for a second straight outing, departing with a 3-0 lead that his bullpen immediately surrendered in the seventh inning. The southpaw generated 17 whiffs on 96 pitches and has now yielded just four total earned runs through his first five starts of 2025. He'll take a 1.13 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 35:10 K:BB across 32 innings into a home matchup with the Mariners next week.

Skenes (2-2) took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday. He allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four across seven innings.

Skenes got the start Saturday despite operating on just four days of rest. He gave up the first run of the game on a Steven Kwan single in the third inning before yielding a solo homer to Kyle Manzardo in the seventh. Skenes bounced back to strike out two of the last three batters he faced, but he wasn't able to get enough run support from the Pirates' offense to avoid the loss. Skenes leads the National League with 31.1 innings tossed across his five starts, and he ranks third and eighth in WHIP (0.80) and strikeouts (30), respectively. He's slated to make his next start next week on the road against the Dodgers.

Greene (2-2) took the loss against the Orioles on Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over three innings.

Greene entered Saturday having allowed just one earned run across three April starts, but he was tagged for back-to-back homers in the first inning. The 25-year-old snapped a scoreless streak of 18.2 innings and yielded five total extra-base hits in his shortest outing of the season. Despite the hiccup, he'll take a stellar 2.35 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 35:6 K:BB across 30.2 innings into a matchup with the Rockies at Coors Field next weekend.

Young did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Reds, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three over four innings.

Young allowed three runs across his first two major-league innings but settled in with two scoreless frames before being lifted after issuing a walk to open the fifth. The 26-year-old featured a fairly balanced four-pitch mix but managed just four swinging strikes on 81 pitches. He'd be in line for a road matchup with the Tigers next weekend should he stick in the rotation, but the impending debut of Kyle Gibson could send Young back to the minors.

Lively (1-2) earned the win against the Pirates on Saturday, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out three across 5.1 scoreless innings.

It was the second time in five starts that Lively didn't yield a run this season, and he was two outs shy from logging his first quality start of the year. While he has given up the eighth-most hits in the American League (25), his efforts Saturday lowered his ERA and WHIP to 3.86 and 1.25, respectively, across 25.2 innings.

Liberatore (1-2) took the loss against the Mets on Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six in 6.2 innings.

Both of the runs Liberatore yielded came in the third inning, the second of which came on a Pete Alonso RBI double. Liberatore was dominant outside of that frame, generating 13 whiffs while logging the quality start on 100 pitches (66 strikes). The 25-year-old southpaw has allowed three earned runs or less in three of his four starts this season and has a 3.60 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 24:2 K:BB across 25 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next start, tentatively slated for next weekend at home against the Brewers.

Senga (3-1) came away with the win against the Cardinals on Saturday. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out four across 5.2 scoreless innings.

Senga retired the side in two of the first three innings pitched. He was lifted in the sixth inning and one out shy from logging a second straight quality start, but it was another strong performance from Senga, who generated 15 first-pitch strikes and 10 whiffs. His 0.79 ERA leads the National League and is second in the majors behind Chris Bassitt (0.77), and Senga's 0.97 WHIP ranks ninth in the NL. Senga will look for his fourth straight win in his next start, which is slated for next weekend on the road against the Nationals.

Berrios came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 8-4 extra-innings loss to the Mariners, giving up three runs on four hits and four walks over six-plus innings. He struck out three.

The veteran right-hander produced his second quality start in five trips to the mound on 82 pitches (47 strikes), but a solo shot by rookie Ben Williamson to lead off the seventh inning tied the game at 3-3 and denied Berrios a shot at his second win of 2025. He'll carry a 5.02 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 24:13 K:BB through 28.2 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend against the Yankees.

Gilbert didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 8-4 extra-innings win over the Blue Jays, giving up two runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out nine.

While the right-hander continues to pile up strikeouts, his dominance is coming at the cost of some efficiency. Gilbert has failed to last six innings in four straight starts, getting an early hook in this one after 102 pitches (68 strikes), including 19 swinging strikes. Gilbert will take a 2.63 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 41:6 K:BB through 27.1 innings -- but only one win and one quality start in five outings -- into his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Marlins.
