Rasmussen (1-0) picked up the win after allowing two hits and no walks in five scoreless innings Monday against the Pirates. He struck out four.

Rasmussen was sharp in his season debut Monday, scattering two singles against a Pittsburgh lineup that offered little to no resistance. The right-hander made just four starts (16 appearances) a year ago after missing most of 2023 due to an internal brace procedure, but he should serve as a full-time member of Tampa Bay's rotation this season. Rasmussen's next appearance is slated to come this weekend in Texas, which would be a tougher test.

Johnson earned the save in Monday's 5-4 win in extras at St. Louis, allowing an unearned run on one hit. He struck out one.

The 22-year-old rookie was called upon in the 10th inning to secure the victory and accomplished the task on 20 pitches, 13 of which were strikes. Johnson, the 74th overall pick in the 2024, allowed the automatic runner to score via a sacrifice fly but otherwise looked the part of a high-leverage reliever in this outing. However, save chances will likely be rare for Johnson as the Angels' usual closer, Kenley Jansen, pitched in back-to-back games Saturday and Sunday and was given a breather.

Anderson took a no-decision Monday against the Cardinals. He struck out four over five innings while allowing three runs on six hits and two walks.

The Angels southpaw tossed 91 pitches, including 61 strikes, while inducing 10 whiffs during his season debut in St. Louis. However, Anderson struggled to contain the long ball as Lars Nootbaar and Brendan Donovan -- both left-handed batters -- hit solo shots in the first and second innings, respectively. After pitching to a 7.41 ERA and 1.65 WHIP across 17 innings in the spring, Anderson still has some tuning up to do before he makes his next start against the Guardians at home this weekend.

Mikolas did not factor into the decision Monday against the Angels, pitching 5.1 innings while allowing two runs on two hits and two walks. He struck out three.

The grizzled veteran entered this outing on the heels of a solid 19.2 innings in the Grapefruit League, pitching to a 3.66 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. Mikolas limited the Angels to two singles and two free passes, allowing both runs on sacrifice flies. The 36-year-old will struggle to produce many strikeouts, as his K/9 has not been above 7.0 since 2019, but he could be viable in deeper leagues if he can limit hard contact and walks. Mikolas will look to continue the respectable work from this appearance in his next start, currently slated to be at Boston this weekend.

Povich allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over 4.1 innings during a no-decision against Boston on Monday. He struck out eight in the win.

Povich allowed all three runs in the first three frames, including two in the second inning on a Jarren Duran triple. Povich needed 94 pitches (59 strikes) to record 13 outs and found himself in several jams. He earned a spot in the Opening Day rotation with a 3.07 ERA and 15:4 K:BB through 14.2 frames during spring training. Povich will look to be a bit more efficient in his next start, which is currently lined up to be in Kansas City this weekend.

Marquez allowed four hits and no walks and struck out four over six shutout innings while taking a no-decision in Monday's 6-1 loss to the Phillies.

Marquez looked sharp through six scoreless frames and left the contest in line for a win before Philadelphia's bats caught fire against the Rockies bullpen. The veteran righty threw 52 of 83 pitches for strikes and gave up two extra-base knocks. Marquez finished with his first scoreless start since Aug. 28, 2022, as he made just five total starts between the 2023 and 2024 campaigns. He's currently in line to face the Athletics at home this weekend.

Soroka was pulled from Monday's start against the Blue Jays due to a right biceps cramp, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The club was initially concerned that Soroka had suffered a more serious injury, per Zuckerman, but it was later revealed that he was simply trying to fight off a cramp. The issue shouldn't cause Soroka to miss his next scheduled start, which tentatively lines up for Sunday against Arizona, but the team will likely monitor him throughout the week to make sure he bounces back.

Sanchez allowed a run on four hits and two walks over 5.1 innings in a no-decision Monday against the Rockies. He struck out seven during the win.

Sanchez rolled through five shutout frames before Hunter Goodman ended his afternoon with a solo shot in the sixth inning. Sanchez tossed 59 of 93 pitches for strikes and forced 15 whiffs, including 12 on 22 swings against his changeup. He racked up seven or more punchouts in 11 of his 31 regular-season outings during the 2024 campaign. Sanchez is currently in line for a tough home matchup against the Dodgers this weekend.

Quantrill (0-1) took the loss after giving up six runs on eight hits and one walk in four innings Monday against the Mets. He struck out two.

Although Quantrill had allowed just one run through four innings, the Mets broke the game open in the fifth frame with seven runs, five of which Quantrill was accountable for. The veteran right-hander was unable to record an out in the inning before being pulled, and his night ended after serving up a grand slam to Pete Alonso. Quantrill's next start lines up to come this weekend in a tough matchup in Atlanta.

Peterson (1-0) picked up the win after giving up two runs on five hits and three walks in six innings Monday against Miami. He struck out nine.

After allowing a solo home run to Otto Lopez in the first inning, Peterson settled in thereafter while receiving plenty of run support. Eric Wagaman did tag Peterson for another solo shot in the sixth frame, but it was an otherwise strong season debut overall for the southpaw. Peterson's next start is tentatively scheduled to come this weekend at home against Toronto.
