The Blue Jays could push Gausman's next start back to Friday against the Mets, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Gausman is currently scheduled to take the ball Wednesday versus the Nationals, but the Blue Jays might have Easton Lucas start that day if he's not needed in long relief before then. There does not appear to be anything wrong physically with Gausman, as this would simply give him a couple extra days of rest and also allow him to face the tougher lineup.

Cabrera (finger) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Cabrera developed a blister on his right middle finger during a March 13 Grapefruit League start that resulted in him opening the season on the injured list, but he doesn't look as though he'll be in store for an extended stay on the shelf. After coming out of a three-inning simulated game last Wednesday no worse for the wear, Cabrera is now ready to test himself in an uncontrolled environment. He'll be eligible to return from the IL on April 7, but the Marlins may want him to complete one more rehab start beyond Tuesday's before clearing him for his 2025 debut with the big club.

Weathers (forearm) is expected to begin a throwing progression later this week, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

Weathers opened the season on the 15-day injured list after suffering a left flexor strain late in spring training. The southpaw appears to have responded well to a brief shutdown period, but he'll likely face an extended ramp-up period as he looks to get stretched back out for a starting role. If all goes well during that process, Weathers could be ready to return from the IL by late April, in a best-case scenario.

Perez (elbow) is scheduled to face hitters Tuesday, Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com reports.

The activity represents a step forward in the recovery process for Perez, who had previously been limited to throwing bullpen sessions as he works his way back from his April 2024 Tommy John surgery. Perez will likely face hitters in a controlled setting for the next few weeks before the Marlins eventually map out a rehab assignment for the young right-hander. He could be ready to make his 2025 debut with the big club at some point around the All-Star break.

The Angels acquired Eder from the White Sox on Monday in exchange for cash considerations.

Eder has struggled to regain his stuff since having Tommy John surgery in 2021, but he's still just 26 so the Angels felt he was worth a roll of the dice. He's been assigned to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Ober revealed after Sunday's poor outing in St. Louis that he had been battling an illness, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Ober said that he was "pretty much bedridden" Friday and got an IV Saturday due to the illness. He admitted that he "got a little tired" after the first inning Sunday and Twins manager Rocco Baldelli noted of Ober's illness that "clearly, I think it had some effect." Ober wound up getting charged with eight runs over just 2.2 innings against the Cardinals. The righty not feeling 100 percent helps explain why he fared so poorly Sunday, although it should be noted that Ober averaged just 90.3 mph with his fastball Sunday after he averaged only 89.9 mph with the heater during spring training. That's after his fastball averaged 91.7 mph in 2024. Ober will get an extra day of rest before his next scheduled outing Saturday against the Astros.

Lalane, who is currently on Single-A Tampa's 60-day injured list, is recovering from an offseason shoulder surgery, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.

It's not clear which specific shoulder procedure Lalane had or when he had it, but those rostering him in dynasty leagues shouldn't be surprised if he doesn't pitch this season. Lalane's value peaked when he was flashing three plus pitches while logging a 34:4 K:BB in 21.2 innings in the Florida Complex League in 2023.

Rodriguez picked up his first hold of the season in Sunday's win over the Orioles, giving up one hit and striking out two in a scoreless eighth inning.

The right-hander is considered the favorite to step into the rotation for Max Scherzer (thumb) on Friday, and the 16 pitches (10 strikes) Rodriguez threw Sunday shouldn't impact his availability. His high-leverage usage was unexpected, but it came after Yimi Garcia and Nick Sandlin had worked Thursday and Friday, while Chad Green was on the bump Thursday and Saturday. If the Jays continue to lean heavily on their late-inning relief arms during the week and decide to keep Rodriguez in that role, Easton Lucas could get Friday's start instead. Jake Bloss -- who is currently scheduled to pitch Tuesday for Triple-A Buffalo -- might also be an option if he gets scratched, or the game gets rained out.

The Brewers placed Civale on the 15-day injured list Monday with a strained left hamstring, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Civale was pulled from Sunday's start against the Yankees after three innings due to what the team referred to as a hamstring cramp, but evidently testing revealed a strain. He will be eligible to return in mid-April but it's uncertain whether he'll be ready to return at that time. The Brewers are dealing with numerous pitching injuries and it's unclear who might take Civale's spot in the rotation.

Woodruff (shoulder) will throw a three-inning simulated game Tuesday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

He'll throw another simulated game April 7, and if both of those sessions go well, Woodruff will be cleared to pitch in a game, either at extended spring training or as part of a formal rehab assignment. The veteran right-hander would appear to have a chance to return from the 15-day injured list by late April or early May, although it will depend on how he looks and feels as he continues to ramp up. Woodruff is coming back from capsule surgery on his right shoulder and hasn't pitched in a major-league game since September 2023.
