Nelson (10-6) got the win over the Giants on Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out nine over 6.2 innings.

The Giants scratched across a run against Nelson in the first and scored once more in the sixth with a solo home run by Matt Chapman. Nelson otherwise continued his brilliant run of starts, posting a fifth straight quality outing and the ninth over his last 11 starts while tying his season high with nine strikeouts. Since July 2, he holds a 2.76 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 75:14 K:BB in 75 innings. Before then, Nelson was sporting a 5.69 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in 14 starts. He'll look to keep rolling in a projected road start against the Astros this weekend.

Phillips came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 10-9 win over the Blue Jays, surrendering six runs on eight hits over two-thirds of an inning. He struck out one without walking a batter.

The right-hander got chased from the game after 36 pitches (28 strikes) and homers by Daulton Varsho and Addison Barger, but the Phillies were able to claw their way back and won it in the ninth on Kyle Schwarber's third long ball of the night. Since a four-hit shutout over the Guardians on July 27, Phillips has been in a tailspin, posting a 17.74 ERA over his last four big-league outings while serving up six home runs in only 11.2 innings. If he gets another start, Phillips lines up to face the Marlins on the road this weekend.

Castillo did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings.

Castillo only allowed four hits but two of them went for home runs, one by Lawrence Butler in the first inning and another by Seth Brown in the fourth. Castillo has now allowed nine home runs over his last five starts, though Tuesday was his first time reaching seven innings since July 19 and his first quality start since Aug. 11. The 31-year-old righty is putting together another strong campaign, yet the Mariners are 14-15 in his starts, partially due to the fact that they've scored two runs or fewer in 11 of Castillo's outings. For the year, he owns a 3.60 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 172:46 K:BB in 172.1 innings and lines up to face the Cardinals in St. Louis over the weekend.

Eldridge was promoted from High-A Eugene to Double-A Richmond on Tuesday.

Eldridge couldn't be stopped at High-A, slashing .333/.442/.615 with 12 home runs, 41 RBI, 35 runs scored and three stolen bases over 48 contests. The top prospect will close out the year with a taste of Double-A, which is where he is likely to begin in 2025. A strong campaign next year could position him for his major-league debut in the second half of 2025.

Detmers allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out 10 over six innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Detmers had allowed at least three runs in eight straight outings before being sent to Triple-A Salt Lake at the beginning of June. He was able to post a quality start in his return, throwing 68 of 100 pitches for strikes. That poor stretch earlier in the year will be tough to overcome in the season-long numbers, which have Detmers at a 5.87 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 80:29 K:BB through 69 innings over 13 starts. He's expected to remain in the rotation moving forward as the Angels roll with six starters, which puts him in line to make his next start at Minnesota.

Buehler allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Tuesday.

Buehler was able to limit the damage to solo home runs by Logan O'Hoppe and Taylor Ward. This was the first time Buehler completed five innings in four starts since he returned from a hip injury in mid-August. He's struggled to a 5.67 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 45:20 K:BB over 54 innings across 12 starts this year. Buehler's next start is projected to be at home versus the Cubs.

Rodon allowed one run on one hit and two walks while striking out 11 over six innings in a no-decision versus the Rangers on Tuesday.

The lone hit run on Rodon's line was a solo home run by Josh Jung in the fourth inning. The Yankees pulled ahead 2-1 in the seventh, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead, denying Rodon his 15th victory of the year. It was still an excellent performance for the southpaw, who has alternated between good and poor outings since the start of August. He's allowed 13 runs over 32 innings in that span and now has a 4.19 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 172:49 K:BB through 152.1 innings overall. Rodon's next start is projected to be at home versus the Royals.

Heaney allowed three hits and a walk while striking out eight over five scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Yankees on Tuesday.

Heaney pitched well in a tough matchup, throwing 54 of 86 pitches for strikes. He's kept runs off the board in three of his last nine appearances, and this was the third time in four outings he struck out eight batters. The southpaw is now at a 3.81 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 141:38 K:BB through 139.1 innings over 28 appearances (27 starts). Heaney's next start is projected to be at home versus the Angels. With news of Jon Gray (foot) and Tyler Mahle (shoulder) being shut down for the year, Heaney is likely to finish the campaign as a starter.

Hendricks (3-11) allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Pirates.

Hendricks rebounded from his poor outing in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, but he didn't get any run support this time around. This was just the second time in eight outings since the All-Star break where Hendricks was able to avoid giving up a home run. He's now at a 6.60 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 74:33 K:BB through 107.2 innings over 25 appearances (20 starts) this season. With Justin Steele (elbow) out, Hendricks is likely to stay in the rotation for another turn, though that lines up to be a brutal road matchup versus the Dodgers.

Skenes (9-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Cubs, allowing four hits and four walks while striking out six over five shutout innings.

Skenes' control was a little shaky -- he walked four batters for the second time in his last four starts. His pitch count was back up to 100 (62 strikes), though that's not particularly encouraging considering he completed just five frames. The 22-year-old is now at a 2.13 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 142:30 K:BB through 114 innings over 19 starts this season. Skenes is on a workload limit, but the Pirates have not revealed how many innings he'll finish with this year. He's tentatively expected to make his next start at home versus the Marlins since Domingo German is expected to join the rotation on Wednesday, giving the Pirates six starters.
