Double-A Portland placed Perales on its 7-day injured list Sunday with right elbow inflammation, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

The 21-year-old suffered the injury during his start Saturday, and the initial diagnosis of inflammation is an encouraging development. Perales has yet to undergo an MRI, and it remains to be seen if that will be necessary.

Rodriguez (7-2) picked up the win Sunday against Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk across 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Rodriguez retired the first 15 batters he faced Sunday but got into trouble during the sixth before exiting. After walking the leadoff batter in the sixth, Rodriguez generated a strikeout and a lineout but got the hook after allowing back-to-back singles. Still responsible for runners on first and third, Rodriguez was charged with a second earned run when Randy Arozarena hit an RBI single off Dillon Tate. Rodriguez has earned seven wins in 11 starts this season, owning a 3.21 ERA with a 10.1 K/9. He's on track to make his next start during a home series against the Phillies next weekend.

Montas (3-5) took the loss Sunday against the Cubs, allowing four earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two in 1.1 innings.

The right-hander never found his footing Sunday, loading the bases in the first inning and surrendering a bases-clearing double to Ian Happ. Things didn't get much better for Montas in the second inning as he allowed an RBI single before exiting with runners on second and third. Those runners did not come around to score, but Montas was highly disappointing following a dazzling performance at Coors Field last week, when he recorded nine strikeouts over seven scoreless innings. The 31-year-old currently owns a 4.55 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP with 44 strikeouts in 55.1 innings, but his inconsistency makes him a high-risk, high-reward play for fantasy managers. He will look to rebound in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend in Milwaukee.

Skubal (8-1) picked up the win Sunday versus Milwaukee, allowing one earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters in 6.2 innings.

Skubal nearly went seven scoreless innings, but he allowed an RBI triple to Brice Turang before being pulled. Skubal dominated the Brewers, inducing 17 swinging strikes and allowing only one extra-base hit, turning in his ninth quality start over his past 10 games. The southpaw has been one of the best pitchers in baseball, compiling a 1.92 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP with 96 strikeouts in 79.2 innings. He is tentatively scheduled for a road start in Houston next weekend.

Cole (elbow) said after Sunday's rehab outing with Double-A Somerset that he'll require at least one additional rehab start, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports. The right-hander allowed one run on two hits with four strikeouts and no walks over 4.2 innings.

Cole threw 44 of 57 pitches for strikes in his second rehab appearance Sunday as he continues building up his workload while coming back from nerve irritation in his elbow. The 33-year-old is trending toward a season debut in late June at the latest, though an exact return date won't come into focus until it's determined how many rehab outings are necessary.

Freeland (elbow) covered two scoreless innings and gave up one hit and no walks while striking out one in his first rehab start Saturday in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Freeland will likely need at least two more rehab starts to build up his pitch count before he's ready to return from the 60-day injured list and rejoin the Colorado rotation, perhaps at some point in the second half of June. The southpaw has been shut down since mid-April with a left elbow strain.

Munoz is scheduled to start Thursday's game against the Mets, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville earlier in the weekend and started in Saturday's loss to the Guardians. He gave up four runs over four innings during that outing and has a 5.95 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 22:11 K:BB over 19.2 frames in his four starts for the Marlins on the season, but he'll get at least one more turn through the rotation while Miami waits for the likes of Edward Cabrera (shoulder), Ryan Weathers (finger) and Sixto Sanchez (shoulder) to return from the injured list.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Sunday that Corbin's next turn through the rotation will be skipped, which lines up the left-hander to next take the mound Saturday against the Marlins, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The 34-year-old's regular turn through the rotation lines up for Tuesday in Detroit, but Washington will instead take advantage of Monday's team off day to move him to the back of the rotation. Corbin now lines up to make his next start on nine days rest, which comes on the heels of a four-start stretch in which he has a 7.22 ERA and 15:9 K:BB over 23.2 innings.

Reds manager David Bell said Sunday that Greene's next start will be pushed to Friday against the Brewers, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The right-hander was previously expected to start Tuesday versus Cleveland, but he'll get a bit of extra rest this week after throwing 111 pitches in each of his past two starts. Greene gave up nine earned runs in those outings but has a 3.61 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 84:32 K:BB over 77.1 innings this season.

Cannon is listed as the White Sox's probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

The 23-year-old was recalled by Chicago and recorded a three-inning save Friday against Boston, and his next appearance will come as a starter. Cannon started in his three previous outings for the White Sox this season but struggled with 11 runs allowed and a 13:4 K:BB over 13.2 innings.
