Butto could be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to start for the Mets in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Tigers, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Butto wouldn't be eligible to be recalled from Triple-A yet under normal circumstances, but because the Mets can add a 27th man for the doubleheader, the 26-year-old is an option. The righty allowed two earned runs over five innings in his first start with Syracuse and yielded just one earned run in 10 frames this spring.

Strider won't start Wednesday after Atlanta's game versus the White Sox was postponed due to inclement weather in Chicago, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Darvish (0-1) was handed the loss Tuesday against the Cardinals, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk across seven innings. He struck out six.

Mikolas hasn't had the easiest of starts to open the season, facing the Dodgers in his 2024 debut before Tuesday's contest. However, he's escaped the pair of starts with a 1-1 record and has brought his ERA down to 6.10. With a quality start under his belt, Mikolas will look to keep the ball rolling in his next start, tentatively scheduled for Monday against the Phillies.

Castillo (0-2) took the loss Tuesday against Cleveland, allowing four runs on 10 hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Castillo's strikeout total was the only positive from Tuesday's loss as he surrendered double-digit hits for just the third time in his career. He was tagged by Bo Naylor for a two-run homer in the fourth frame. Castillo will look to find the elusive first win of 2024 next time out, tentatively lined up for Monday against the Blue Jays.

Bieber (2-0) picked up the win Tuesday against the Mariners, allowing six hits over six scoreless inning. He struck out nine and did not issue a walk.

Bieber kept a clean sheet once again Tuesday, holding the Mariners scoreless to keep his season ERA at a perfect 0.00 through two starts. After regressing to a 3.80 ERA last season -- his worst since his rookie year -- Bieber could be recapturing his 2020 Cy Young form. He leads MLB in strikeouts (20) through 12 innings of work. The Guardians' ace will look to continue his dominance in his next start, likely Monday against the White Sox.
