Myers did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Mets, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 3.1 innings.

Myers allowed runs in three separate innings, including solo homers in the second and third. It was the 27-year-old's first start since May 17, and he now owns a 4.78 ERA, 1.67 WHIP, and 23:12 K:BB across just 26.1 major-league innings this season. If Jacob Misiorowski (tibia) isn't able to return from the injured list when first eligible next weekend, Myers could get another turn in the Brewers' rotation against the Reds.

Rea (9-5) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings to earn the win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Rea's shutout bid was broken up when Alec Burleson plated a run on a groundout in the sixth inning. This was Rea's first quality start in his last five outings -- he last reached the six-inning mark when he pitched seven frames of one-run ball July 10 versus the Twins. The right-hander is now at a 4.09 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 85:31 K:BB through 116.2 innings over 24 appearances (20 starts). Rea is tentatively projected to make his next start on the road against the Blue Jays. With the Cubs facing a stretch of 14 games in 13 days starting Tuesday in Toronto, he should be good to stick in the rotation for a bit longer even if Jameson Taillon (calf) and Javier Assad (oblique) are ready to return around the middle of the month.

Pallante (6-9) allowed six runs on seven hits and one walk while failing to record a strikeout over 1.2 innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Cubs.

Pallante gave up two runs in the first inning and four more in the second before making his early exit in this contest. He's operated at the extremes lately -- over his last nine starts, he's allowed two or fewer runs five times, but he's allowed at least five runs in the other four starts in that span. On the season, Pallante has an uninspiring 4.95 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 80:41 K:BB across 123.2 innings through 23 starts. His next start is expected to be at home versus the Yankees.

Ober (4-7) took the loss against the Royals on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings.

Ober started his outing strong by retiring the first seven batters he faced, and despite limiting the Royals' offense to a Maikel Garcia RBI double in the third, there wasn't enough run support from the Twins batters to avoid the loss. It was Ober's seventh quality start of the season and first since returning from a left hip impingement Aug. 2. Ober is in line to make his next start at home against the Tigers next week.

Cameron (6-5) earned the win against the Twins on Saturday, allowing six hits and two walks while striking out four across 5.2 scoreless innings.

Cameron kept the Twins off the board despite allowing at least two baserunners in three of the six innings he pitched in, and he was one out away from logging his eighth quality start of the season. It was the third time in his last five starts that Cameron hasn't yielded a run, and he now sports a 2.52 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 76:26 K:BB across 93 innings this season. He's earned the win in three of his last four outings, and he'll aim for his seventh victory of the season against the White Sox at home next weekend.

Young (0-6) took the loss against the Athletics on Saturday, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts over three innings.

Five of the six runs Young surrendered came via the long ball, and he was pulled after just 74 pitches in his shortest outing of the season. Coming off back-to-back starts in which he allowed only two earned runs combined, the 26-year-old has still failed to complete five innings in eight of 10 outings this year. He'll take a 6.70 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 40:20 K:BB across 44.1 innings into a road matchup with Houston next week.

Burke (4-9) took the loss in Saturday's game against the Guardians, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven across 3.1 innings.

Burke's outing was highlighted by him striking out the side in the second inning, but he ran up his pitch count to 88 (55 strikes) despite not making it out of the fourth and wasn't able to get enough run support to avoid the loss. Burke has struck out at least five batters in eight of his last nine starts, and over that span he has a 3.53 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across 43.1 innings. He'll look to get back into the win column in his next start, which is lined up for next weekend on the road against Kansas City.

Martinez (10-9) earned the win against the Pirates on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts over seven innings.

Martinez allowed a run in the third inning but otherwise kept the Pirates in check, retiring 12 of the final 14 batters he faced. Since giving up 10 runs to the Marlins on July 8, the 35-year-old has gone 4-0 while holding opponents to two earned runs or fewer in six straight outings (five starts). For the season, he owns a 4.49 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 97:33 K:BB across 136.1 innings and will likely shift back to the bullpen with Hunter Greene (groin) expected to return next week.

Gordon, who last started Aug. 2 in Boston, appears to have been moved to a relief role with the Astros naming Jason Alexander their starting pitcher for Sunday's series finale against the Yankees.

Alexander has pitched more recently than Gordon -- he threw six scoreless frames Monday en route to his second win of the season -- so the fact that the right-hander is receiving the start over Gordon on Sunday suggests that the rookie lefty could work out of the bullpen moving forward. Gordon has posted a 7.36 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB in 14.2 innings over his last three starts.

High-A Aberdeen placed Gomez on the 7-day injured list Saturday with a lower-back strain, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Gomez gave up 11 earned runs in 6.1 innings over his seven most recent appearances in the Mets organization before getting traded to the Orioles at the deadline in the Cedric Mullins deal. Gomez has not pitched for the Orioles yet and logged a 4.63 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 48:25 K:BB in 35 innings across High-A and Single-A earlier this year. If he can throw more strikes, Gomez could be a late-inning arm in a few years.
