Jose De Leon RP | BOS
Red Sox's Jose De Leon: Grabs win in return outing
De Leon (1-0) earned the win Sunday against the Tigers, allowing three runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out eight over 6.2 innings.
Making his first MLB appearance since 2023, the right-hander shook off the rust, allowing his only damage on a Javier Baez three-run homer in the fourth inning. The Red Sox turned to the 33-year-old with the AL East already decided and a Wild Card spot secured, but despite the long layoff, he cruised through the remainder of his outing and was effective enough to earn the victory.

Sean Manaea RP | NYM
Mets' Sean Manaea: Fans three in regular-season finale
Manaea walked two batters, struck out three and yielded zero hits across 1.2 innings during the Mets' 4-0 loss to the Marlins on Sunday. He did not factor into the decision.
Manaea served as the opener for Sunday's regular-season finale with the Mets still fighting for a playoff spot, and he did his part by keeping the Marlins off the board. Manaea began the season on the injured list due to a right oblique strain that he suffered in spring training and didn't make his 2025 debut until July 13. He didn't complete six innings across any of his 15 games (12 starts), and he'll finish the 2025 season with a 5.64 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 75:12 K:BB across 60.2 innings.

Phillies' Cristopher Sanchez: Fans eight in no-decision
Sanchez did not factor in the decision during Sunday's extra-inning win against Minnesota. He allowed two hits over 5.2 shutout innings while striking out eight.
Sanchez could've produced a career day if he hadn't been on a workload restriction ahead of the postseason. He racked up 17 whiffs on just 60 total pitches, including eight with his changeup. Sanchez has posted a 1.59 ERA over his last six starts. He wrapped up his terrific 2025 regular season with a 2.50 ERA and a 212:44 K:BB through 202 frames. It was the first time he crossed the 200-inning mark, and he did so with a career-high 9.4 K/9.

He allowed four or more runs in four of his last seven starts of the season, winning just one of those games. Overall, he ended the year at a 5.25 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 147:37 K:BB across 176.2 innings across 33 starts.
