Luis Medina RP | ATH
Athletics' Luis Medina: Struggles with control
Medina (1-7) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits and seven walks over five innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out four.
Medina took his seventh loss of the campaign, tied for the eighth-most in baseball, and dished out a season-high seven walks over five frames. Medina's lack of control got him in trouble time and time again, as three of the four runs against him came from runners he issued a walk to, while he also let a run score off a wild pitch. Through 10 appearances (48.2 innings), Medina has stumbled to a 6.84 ERA and a 45:26 K:BB while serving up 2.0 HR/9. He's tentatively scheduled to make another start next weekend at home versus the White Sox.

Johan Oviedo SP | BOS
Pirates' Johan Oviedo: No support Sunday
Oviedo (3-8) took the loss Sunday, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings against the Marlins. He struck out six.
Oviedo went toe-to-toe with Miami's Eury Perez, allowing just one run across seven innings, which came on a solo homer by nine-hole hitter Jonathan Davis. However, Oviedo would take his fourth straight loss after the Pirates failed to get on the scoreboard Sunday, which bumped him up to a tie for the third-most losses in MLB. Despite the massive loss total, Oviedo has quietly been putting together a solid stretch of starts, posting a 2.96 ERA with five quality starts over his last nine appearances (51.2 innings).

Eury Perez SP | MIA
Marlins' Eury Perez: Blanks Pirates
Perez (5-1) earned the win Sunday, allowing four hits and one walk over six scoreless innings against the Pirates. He struck out nine.
Perez tossed another gem, holding Pittsburgh scoreless through six innings while tying his season high in strikeouts. After giving up seven runs over his first three MLB appearances (14 innings) Perez has let just one batter cross the plate since (33.0 innings). Though Perez may be given some time off leading up to the All-Star break to help prevent late-season fatigue, he should still be considered one of the more valuable arms in fantasy.

George Kirby SP | SEA
Mariners' George Kirby: Takes loss despite strong outing
Kirby (6-7) took the loss Sunday, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and one walk over 6.1 innings against the Orioles. He struck out four.
For the second straight appearance, Kirby added a tally to the loss column while also finishing with a quality start. Most of the damage against Kirby came in the third frame, when Anthony Santander launched a two-run homer that plated Jorge Mateo. Despite being tied for the eighth most losses in MLB, Kirby holds a strong 3.26 ERA on the year and has given up just five earned runs over his last three starts (19.1 innings). He is tentatively scheduled to toe the rubber again during a home series versus the Rays next weekend.

Dodgers' Tony Gonsolin: Tagged with four runs
Gonsolin yielded four runs on five hits and a walk over five innings in Sunday's loss to Houston. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.
All the damage against Gonsolin came on a pair of two-run shots. He previously turned in four straight starts without allowing a home run but still posted a lackluster 4.37 ERA during that span. After registering a 1.13 ERA through his first five starts of the campaign, Gonsolin's season ERA has spiked to 3.30 across 57.1 innings. His next start is lined up to be in Kansas City.

Kyle Bradish SP | BAL
Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Goes seven frames
Bradish (4-3) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks over seven innings against the Mariners. He struck out seven.
Bradish tossed a gem Sunday, allowing just two hits across seven innings of work against the Mariners. However, the two hits were extra-base hits by back-to-back batters, as Eugenio Suarez doubled and Cal Raleigh knocked him in on a two-run homer in the second frame. Bradish was exceptional following the long ball and retired 15 straight batters. The start marked the second time Bradish lasted seven innings in his last three starts after failing to go that deep in any of his first 11 appearances. The 26-year-old has now given up three or fewer runs in 12 of his 14 starts this season and will look to build on his impressive resume in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come at home against the Twins.

Gore (4-6) yielded one run on five hits and two walks over five innings Sunday, striking out nine and earning a win over San Diego.
Gore tossed four scoreless innings before the Padres put a run on the board in the fifth frame, setting a new franchise record along the way by striking out the first six batters he faced. He finally got back in the win column for the first time since April 26. In 10 starts between those two wins, Gore posted a 4.53 ERA through 53.2 frames. He lowered his season ERA to 3.89 with a 104:36 K:BB across 16 starts. His next start is lined up to be in Philadelphia.

Anthony DeSclafani RP | ARI
Giants' Anthony DeSclafani: Takes tough-luck loss
DeSclafani (4-7) yielded two runs on five hits over six innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against Arizona.
After allowing a run in each of the first two innings, DeSclafani fired four shutout frames to end his afternoon. His next outing is currently lined up to be a road start against the Mets.
