Manager Carlos Mendoza said Thursday that Senga was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain and will need to spend time on the injured list, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Senga's hamstring forced him to make an early exit from his start against Washington on Thursday after tossing 5.2 shutout innings. The Mets won't know more about the severity of his injury until he undergoes an MRI on Friday, but the team has already deemed his injury significant enough to warrant a stint on the IL. Paul Blackburn will likely slide into the rotation until Frankie Montas (lat) and Sean Manaea (oblique) are ready to come off the injured list.

Ober (4-3) took the loss Thursday against the Rangers, allowing seven runs on six hits and six walks across 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

It was a rough day for Ober, who gave up season highs in both walks and home runs (four) in a lopsided defeat. The long ball has hurt Ober of late -- he's now given up seven homers across 15.2 innings in his last three starts. His ERA is up to 4.40 with a 1.38 WHIP and 57:21 K:BB across 14 starts (73.2 innings) this season. Ober will look to get back on track in his next outing, tentatively lined up for next week in Cincinnati.

Miley is slated to start Sunday's game against the Tigers at Comerica Park, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Miley made a two-inning relief appearance in his 2025 debut with the Reds back on June 4, but he's since moved into the Cincinnati rotation while Hunter Greene recovers from a right groin strain. The veteran southpaw was credited with a win in his first start Monday in Cleveland, but he gave up three earned runs on five hits and four walks over five innings. He'll make for a risky streaming option on the road versus a Detroit offense that has produced a collective 119 wRC+ versus left-handed pitching this season.

Soroka (3-4) took the loss Thursday against the Mets, allowing four runs on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out five.

Coming off off his first scoreless outing of the season, Soroka found himself in trouble early Thursday, issuing a pair of walks in the first inning before giving up a three-run homer to Jeff McNeil with two outs. Soroka would settle in, allowing just one additional run over his final four innings, but the Nats couldn't climb out of the early hole in an eventual 4-3 loss. The 27-year-old Soroka sports a 5.14 ERA despite posting a solid 1.12 WHIP and 40:10 K:BB through eight starts (42 innings) this season. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next start, currently slated for next week at home versus the Rockies.

The Tigers transferred Jobe (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Jobe is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of the season, so the Tigers will move him to the 60-day IL to clear a 40-man spot for Matt Gage, who was selected from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday. A timeline for Jobe's return will likely surface following his procedure, though he almost certainly won't be cleared to pitch until late 2026 at the earliest.

Senga was removed from Thursday's start against the Nationals in the sixth inning with an apparent right leg injury, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Senga was covering first base and had to leap to grab a high throw from first baseman Pete Alonso. When he landed, he immediately grabbed at the back of his right leg and went down in a heap. Senga was able to walk off the field under his own power, but it looked to be a potentially significant leg injury. The Mets should have more on his status shortly. Senga had struck out five over 5.2 scoreless frames before exiting.

Chandler gave up one earned run on zero hits and four walks while recording just two outs in Wednesday's start for Triple-A Indianapolis.

Chandler now has three four-walk starts in his past seven, logging a 3.81 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 34:19 K:BB in 26 innings over that stretch. The young fireballer was dominant in his first six starts of the year (1.42 ERA, 0.67 WHIP, 36:7 K:BB in 25.1 IP), but it's possible he's trying too hard to force a promotion from Triple-A. Regardless, it doesn't seem like a promotion is imminent after he walked in a run and failed to complete the first inning Wednesday.

Boyle has a 1.17 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 54:16 K:BB in 46 innings across nine starts since he was optioned to Triple-A Durham on April 14.

The Rays haven't needed rotation reinforcements since Boyle was optioned, but he appears ready for another shot whenever an opportunity arises. Shane McClanahan (triceps) recently visited a nerve specialist and doesn't appear close to starting up a throwing program, while Ian Seymour recently made his big-league debut out of the bullpen, so Boyle is the clear sixth starter on the depth chart.

The Rockies plan to activate Gomber (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list to have him start Sunday in Atlanta, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Colorado's decision to option No. 5 starter Carson Palmquist to Triple-A Albuquerque earlier Thursday seemed to signal that Gomber was on track to rejoin the rotation, and the 31-year-old has now been confirmed to make his 2025 debut with Colorado this weekend. After experiencing shoulder soreness in spring training, Gomber was expected to be in line for a brief absence to begin the season, but he had a setback coming out of a March 28 rehab outing with Albuquerque that extended his stay on the IL. He was cleared to resume his assignment earlier this month and has looked sharp in his starts with Double-A Hartford and Albuquerque, covering eight innings and striking out eight while allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks between those two outings. He tossed 69 pitches in his latest appearance Tuesday and should be ready to handle something close to a typical starter's workload Sunday.

The Brewers transferred Woodruff (shoulder/elbow) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Jacob Misiorowski, who has been called up to make his major-league debut Thursday. It does not change Woodruff's timetable, as he has already missed 60-plus days and recently had a setback on his rehab assignment when he was struck in the pitching elbow by a comebacker. Woodruff hasn't resumed throwing and will need a couple more rehab starts before being considered for the Brewers' rotation.
