Neto (calf) is expected to play Monday against the Athletics, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Neto exited Saturday's game with left calf tightness, but it seems as though he's avoided significant injury. Manager Ron Washington said postgame that Neto should play in Monday's series opener, the Angels' next game after their team off day Sunday.

Neto was removed from Saturday's game against the Dodgers with left calf tightness.

Neto slid to field a ball at shortstop and fell back to the ground in pain after attempting to get up and throw the ball. Encouragingly, Neto was able to walk off the field unassisted and it's expected he'll be evaluated during Sunday's team day off. Luis Guillorme will slide to shortstop while Michael Stefanic enters at second base.

Schneemann went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Schneemann has hit both of his home runs this season over his last five games. The 26-year-old continues to find ways into the lineup -- he's hitting .297 with a .990 OPS over 45 plate appearances since he was called up June 2. He's primarily seen time in center field and at third base and shortstop, and his defensive versatility should help him continue to carve out decent playing time, though he's unlikely to get a majority of the reps at any one position.

Martinez went 1-for-3 in Friday's loss to the Guardians.

Getting his first career MLB start while batting eighth as the second baseman, Martinez poked a single up the middle to lead off the sixth inning for his first career hit, but the rest the Toronto offense failed to bring him around to score. The 22-year-old also committed his first career error, and defense remains the biggest obstacle between him and a regular spot in the lineup. Martinez seems likely to head back to Triple-A Buffalo once Bo Bichette (calf) gets healthy, but if the Blue Jays become sellers at the trade deadline, a permanent spot could open up in the majors for the top prospect.

Crawford went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run in an extra-inning loss to the Marlins on Friday.

The veteran shortstop hit safely for the third time in the last four games while also posting his second stolen base of the season, with the first having come back on May 30. Crawford's modest recent success aside, he mostly remains mired in a season-long funk -- his current .207 average and .299 OBP are both career lows, while his 21.2 percent strikeout rate is his highest since 2018.

Bliss went 3-for-3 with an RBI triple in an extra-inning loss to the Marlins on Friday. He also was caught stealing on his only attempt.

The rookie had his best night in the majors yet, posting his first multi-hit effort and first triple at the big-league level. Bliss was also caught stealing for the first time in five attempts, but this effort gave his batting average and OPS respective 59- and 145-point boosts to .238 and .700.

McKinstry isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

McKinstry has gone 0-for-18 with eight strikeouts in his last six contests, and he'll now sit down for the second game in a row Saturday. Ryan Kreidler will pick up another start at shortstop, batting ninth.

Henderson went 3-for-5 with two home runs, three RBI, three runs scored, a stolen base and walk in Friday's loss to the Astros.

Henderson scored his first run in the third inning after drawing a walk and swiping second base. He then drilled a solo shot in the seventh inning and a two-run blast during the Orioles' seven-run eighth. He's produced back-to-back three-hit performances and has five multi-hit games over his last 11 appearances. Henderson owns a terrific .284/.381/.610 slash line with 43 extra-base hits and 13 steals through 74 games.

Castro went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double and two total runs scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Castro logged his fourth multi-hit effort in his last five games, with the lone exception being Thursday when he started the game on the bench. Batting .290 (20-for-69) in June, Castro has been impressive for the Twins, and it hasn't been just an empty average. He has nine extra-base hits, eight RBI and 13 runs scored over 19 contests this month. For the season, he's posted a .272/.357/.444 slash line with six homers, 24 RBI, 43 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a career-high 19 doubles through 76 games.

Bichette (calf) took ground balls, ran the bases and hit in the batting cage Friday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

He looks to be on track to return from the injured list once eligible Tuesday and should ramp up his workload over the weekend. While Bichette has been sidelined, Isiah Kiner-Falefa has drawn most of the starts at shortstop.
