Jorge Mateo SS | ATL
Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Nabs 12th steal
Mateo went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-innings loss to the Yankees.
The pilfer moved Mateo into a tie with rookie Julio Rodriguez for the major-league lead in steals with 12. Mateo hasn't made much of a fantasy impact this season otherwise, slashing .213/.252/.324 through 39 games with two homers, nine RBI and 13 runs while mainly hitting toward the bottom of a lackluster Baltimore lineup.

Wander Franco SS | TB
Rays' Wander Franco: Hitless in return
Franco went 0-for-4 Tuesday against the Marlins.
Franco was in the lineup after missing two games due to a quadriceps injury. He was hitless and grounded out in all four of his plate appearances. More concerning is the fact that Franco is still dealing with discomfort and essentially remains day-to-day, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Red Sox's Trevor Story: Continues torrid stretch Tuesday
Story went 2-for-6 with a three-run home run, two runs and two RBI in Tuesday's victory over the White Sox.
Story launched a three-run home run off Dylan Cease in the first inning and later added an RBI single in the fifth frame before coming around to score on a Christian Vazquez long ball. The homer was his eighth of the year and he has now gone deep in back-back contests and four out of five games. Over that stretch, the shortstop has gone 8-for-21 with six long balls, nine runs, 17 RBI and a stolen base. After a slow start to the season, Story is now up to a .231 average with eight homers, 33 RBI, 23 runs and five stolen bases over 143 at-bats in 37 games in his first season with Boston.

Wander Franco SS | TB
Rays' Wander Franco: May need more days off
Franco is still considered somewhat day-to-day with a quadriceps issue despite the fact the he's in the lineup Tuesday against the Marlins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Franco is in the lineup Tuesday after missing the last two games, but it sounds as though the Rays expect to keep managing the issue going forward. Expect a few more off days for the young shortstop than normal over the next week or so, but a trip to the injured list seems unlikely given that Franco was cleared to start Tuesday's contest.

Wander Franco SS | TB
Rays' Wander Franco: Back in action
Franco (quadriceps) will bat second and play shortstop Tuesday against the Marlins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Franco hurt his right quadriceps Friday against the Orioles and didn't start Saturday or Sunday, though he did appear off the bench in the series finale. He's ready to be a full participant following Monday's scheduled off day and will look to dig himself out of a slump which has seen him go 2-for-35 at the plate over his last 10 games.

Bobby Witt SS | KC
Royals' Bobby Witt: Hits fifth homer
Witt went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to Arizona on Monday.
After Whit Merrifield led off the game with a home run, Witt followed two batters later with a solo blast of his own. The long ball was his fourth over his past 10 games. Over that span, Witt is batting .257 with five RBI, seven runs and a stolen base.

Anthony Volpe SS | NYY
Yankees' Anthony Volpe: Heating up at plate
Volpe went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a stolen base for Double-A Somerset on Sunday.
Volpe has had a rough start to his first stint at the Double-A level, slashing .197/.316/.378 with a 24.5 percent strikeout rate through 155 plate appearances this season. However, he has been outstanding on the basepaths, notching 17 steals in 18 attempts. The 21-year-old has also been playing well of late, slashing .389/.500/.722 with a home run, three doubles, four RBI, four steals and a 4:3 BB:K during his current five-game hitting streak.

Jorge Mateo SS | ATL
Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Resting Monday
Mateo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
He'll cede shortstop duties to Chris Owings as the Orioles begin a seven-game week with a three-game set in New York. Mateo is getting a breather after a rough weekend series against the Rays in which he went hitless in 14 at-bats, bringing his season average down to .212.

Kevin Smith DH | NYY
Athletics' Kevin Smith: Multi-hit effort in Sunday's loss
Smith went 2-for-3 with a double and a run in a loss to the Angels on Sunday.
Smith mustered the only multi-hit effort of the day in yet another meager offensive output for the Athletics. The 25-year-old's .222/.243/.384 slash line leaves plenty to be desired, but he's now notably laced 11 of his 22 hits for extra bases.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Homer, three RBI
Anderson went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in a 5-0 victory over the Yankees on Sunday.
Anderson smacked a three-run home run with two outs off Miguel Castro to cap the scoring in Chicago's five-run eighth inning. After being a late scratch (undisclosed) from Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader, Anderson returned to the lineup and led off for Game 2. It was his fourth straight multi-hit game and the sixth time in May that he's had three hits. For the month, he's slashed an impressive .397/.454/.513.
