Mondesi went 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk, three RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored Thursday against Cleveland.

The highlight was a three-run homer in the eighth inning. He continued to produce on the basepaths, recording his 13th stolen base of the campaign in the third inning after reaching base on a walk. Mondesi is quietly riding a seven-game hitting streak. That's bolstered his season-long line to .204/.232/.290 with two home runs, 15 runs scored and 11 RBI across 170 plate appearances.

Martinez was added to the Blue Jays' 60-man-player pool Thursday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Now one of the Jays' top prospects, Martinez signed a $3.5 million deal with Toronto back in July of 2018. He will get the opportunity to further his development at the team's alternate training site.

Fletcher (ankle) is not in Thursday's lineup against the Rangers.

There was some thought that he could return from the injured list when first eligible, but that will seemingly not be the case. Fletcher has been progressing well, so hopefully he can make it back for this weekend's series in Coors Field.

Bichette (knee) could return from the 10-day injured list this weekend for the Blue Jays' home series against the Mets, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.

He has been out since Aug. 15 with a right knee sprain and has been playing the field in recent days at the alternate training site. The Blue Jays have gone 17-9 since Bichette went down and currently hold a playoff spot. Once activated, Bichette will look to extend the nine-game hit streak he had before getting hurt.

Adames went 1-for-2 with two walks in a loss to the Nationals on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old shortstop pushed his season on-base percentage to an impressive .376 with Tuesday's busy night. In the process, Adames snapped a brief 0-for-12 skid that had encompassed his last three games. Largely on the strength of a 5-for-7 tally over his first two games of the month, he's still hitting a solid .286 through his first six September contests.

Crawford went 1-for-4 with a double, three RBI, a run scored and a walk in Tuesday's loss against the Giants.

Crawford might have produced just one knock at the top of the order, but it was a significant one -- he cleared the bases with a three-RBI double in the top of the second. Crawford has gone seven straight games without a multi-hit effort, though, and he is hitting just .154 with a .659 OPS in that span. Perhaps Tuesday's three-RBI effort could boost his confidence moving forward, as the shortstop has struggled offensively during most of the campaign.

Lindor went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk during Tuesday's loss to the Royals.

The 26-year-old's two-run shot during the third inning gave Cleveland a 5-3 lead, though the bullpen was ultimately unable to hold off Kansas City. Lindor has a .287/.353/.473 slash line with seven homers, 10 doubles, 19 RBI and three stolen bases in 42 games.

Pena was added to the Astros' 60-man roster Tuesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Pena was a non-roster invitee during spring training this year, but he wasn't included in the player pool during summer camp. However, he'll now head to alternate camp in Corpus Christi for developmental purposes to finish the season. The 22-year-old has flashed impressive speed and defensive abilities in his short time in the minors.

Bichette (knee) will play the field at the Blue Jays' alternate training site Tuesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Bichette took five at-bats as the designated hitter in a simulated game Monday, and he'll test out his health in the field just one day later. Manager Charlie Montoyo said that the team is still taking things day by day to see how he progresses. A weekend return hasn't been ruled out.

Fletcher (ankle) is progressing well and could come off the injured list when first eligible Thursday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

While a Thursday return for Fletcher is not definite, the utilityman appears to be nearly recovered from the left ankle sprain that necessitated a trip to the 10-day IL. "He's doing well," manager Joe Maddon said. "I always hate to give you guys a finish line until I'm sure, but he's progressing well, walking around, I have not heard anything negative from training staff." Fletcher's return would give the Angels' offense a boost given his .313/.377/.438 slash line through 162 plate appearances this season.
