Colt Emerson SS | SEA
Mariners' Colt Emerson: Adds solo shot in win
Emerson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Tigers.
Emerson had gone 29 games without a long ball prior to Wednesday, hitting .181 with just one double and five RBI in that span. He also struck out at a 34.3 percent rate during the power drought. The infielder is batting .199 with a .617 OPS, eight homers, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored, six doubles, one triple and three stolen bases over his first 62 major-league games. Emerson also has a 32.6 percent strikeout rate on the year, so his average is likely to remain suppressed until he can make more consistent contact.

Angel Genao 2B | CLE
Guardians' Angel Genao: Four hits in debut
Genao went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Mets.
It was a night to remember for Genao, as he became just the 22nd player in the modern era to record four or more hits in their MLB debut. Genao got the start at third base Wednesday with Jose Ramirez (hand) sidelined, though he'll likely see most of his playing time at shortstop moving forward, as Brayan Rocchio's gone just 3-for-35 (.086) in his last 10 games. Across 309 plate appearances with Triple-A Columbus this season, Genao slashed .309/.395/.494 with 10 homers, 48 runs scored, 42 RBI and nine stolen bases.

Tyler Tolbert SS | KC
Royals' Tyler Tolbert: Shifts to bench role with Witt back
Tolbert is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.
He had made four starts at shortstop in five games to close out the past week, but Tolbert has moved back into a utility role following Bobby Witt's reinstatement from the injured list Tuesday. With his playing time headed for a steep downturn, Tolbert's fantasy utility will be restricted to AL-only leagues, where he still carries some appeal due to his ability to contribute stolen bases even when his plate appearances are limited.

Jose Caballero SS | NYY
Yankees' Jose Caballero: Fading into utility role
Caballero is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
Caballero will be on the bench for a second straight game and looks like he'll move into a utility role after the Yankees promoted top prospect George Lombard from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday to take over as their everyday shortstop. The 29-year-old Caballero has been a useful fantasy asset with 27 steals to go along with a career-high 12 home runs in 97 games, but he's been far less valuable from a real-life standpoint with a 95 wRC+ across 348 plate appearances.
-
Javier Baez SS | DET
Tigers' Javier Baez: Sitting Wednesday
Baez isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.
Baez will take a seat Wednesday after going 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored during Tuesday's win in the series opener. While Baez sits, Kevin McGonigle will start at shortstop, and Colt Keith will man the hot corner.

Angel Genao 2B | CLE
Guardians' Angel Genao: Big-league debut on tap
The Guardians recalled Genao from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday.
Cleveland designated Gabriel Arias for assignment to clear a spot on the active roster for Genao, who will hit the big leagues for the first time. The switch-hitting 22-year-old earned the call-up after slashing .309/.395/.494 with 10 home runs and nine stolen bases across 72 games at Columbus. Genao has made starts at second base, third base and shortstop at Triple-A, and the latter position could be the main spot where he sees his initial action in the big leagues. Brayan Rocchio has been serving as the Guardians' primary shortstop but could see his playing time dip while he's slashed just .179/.225/.269 over 17 games since the All-Star break.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Rangers' Corey Seager: Out Wednesday
Seager is absent from the lineup Wednesday against San Francisco.
Seager will be given a breather as the Rangers wrap up their series against the Giants with a day game after a night game. After being activated from the injured list Friday, Seager started in each of the ensuing five contests and went 7-for-17 with a double, three walks and three runs.
-
Ezequiel Duran SS | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Helps snap losing streak
Duran went 3-for-5 with two doubles, four RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 5-4 win over San Francisco.
Duran walked off the Giants, who had tied the game in the top of the ninth inning. The win halted the Rangers' six-game losing streak. Duran is getting regular at-bats at third base since Josh Jung (calf) landed on the injured list, but the Rangers would find a spot for the versatile Duran even if Jung were healthy. In 18 contests since the All-Star break, Duran's posted a .313/.351/.582 slash line with seven doubles, one triple, three home runs, 13 RBI and a couple steals.

Taylor Walls SS | TB
Rays' Taylor Walls: Posts steal Tuesday
Walls went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-7 extra-innings win over the Rockies.
Walls has swiped a bag in each of his last two games, going 3-for-8 in that span. Prior to that, he had endured an 0-for-14 skid over a seven-game stretch, which led to a day off Sunday to help him reset. The shortstop is now batting .216 with a .590 OPS, no home runs, 23 RBI, 42 runs scored, 14 doubles, two triples and 17 stolen bases over 91 contests this season. Walls remains a regular part of the Rays' lineup but hasn't produced at a fantasy-friendly level this year.

Bobby Witt SS | KC
Royals' Bobby Witt: Shines in return to lineup
Witt went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Twins.
Making his return after a two-week absence due to low-back tightness, Witt wasted little time getting back on track. He singled in each of his first two at-bats before ripping a two-run double in the fifth inning to extend Kansas City's lead. While his counting stats have taken a step back from previous seasons, in part due to the Royals' overall offensive struggles, Witt has continued to perform at a high level. Through 95 games, he's slashing .283/.353/.455 with 13 home runs, 23 doubles, one triple, 41 RBI and 53 runs scored and is tied with Jazz Chisholm for the American League lead with 30 stolen bases.
