Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Hitting second against RHP
Anderson, who is batting second against righty Corbin Martin in Thursday's game against the Astros, could stick in the No. 2 spot going forward, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Anderson is hitting .322/.352/.491 with a 127 wRC+ -- a figure that ranks second behind only James McCann among White Sox hitters with at least 60 plate appearances. He always hits second against lefties, but this move would be a big vote of confidence for the right-handed hitter, who has typically hit seventh against righties.

Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Indians' Francisco Lindor: Smacks leadoff homer
Lindor went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Tuesday in the Indians' 5-3 loss to the Athletics.
Lindor kicked off the scoring on the night with a leadoff home run, his seventh of the season. Despite not making his season debut until April 20, Lindor ranks second on the Indians in home runs, one behind Carlos Santana, who connected on his eighth long ball in the third inning.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Has two hits in return
Diaz returned to the lineup Tuesday and went 2-for-4 in a 5-1 win over the White Sox.
Diaz, who had missed three games due to a hamstring injury suffered in Boston last week, did not miss a beat. He was in an 8-for-19 stretch when the injury occurred and immediately added to that good run with two more hits Tuesday. Meanwhile, the man whom he's replacing in the lineup, Jose Altuve (hamstring), is increasing his baseball activity and nearing a rehab assignment.

David Fletcher 2B | ATL
Angels' David Fletcher: Collects three hits
Fletcher went 3-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in Tuesday's loss to Minnesota.
The three-hit game was the third of the season for Fletcher and marked his eighth multi-hit game in May. He doesn't offer much in the power department, but his consistent hitting this season and ability to play multiple positions have earned Fletcher a consistent role. He has now started 15 consecutive games for the Halos.

Joey Wendle 2B | ATL
Rays' Joey Wendle: X-rays Wednesday
Wendle will get X-rays on his broken wrist Wednesday in hopes that he will be cleared to increase activities, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
He has been limited to fielding drills while wearing a brace. The initial April 26 timetable had Wendle missing 6-to-8 weeks, with a mid-June return seeming like the best-case scenario. That same timetable applies for now, but we may get an update after Wednesday's tests.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Back in action Tuesday
Diaz (hamstring) is starting at second base and hitting sixth Tuesday against the White Sox, David Barron of the Houston Chronicle reports.
He sat out a few games with a minor hamstring injury, but did not need a trip to the injured list. Diaz should serve as the everyday second baseman in the short term, but Jose Altuve (hamstring) is nearing a rehab assignment and could be back before the end of the month.

Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Mariners' Dee Gordon: Lands on IL with wrist contusion
Gordon was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right wrist contusion.
Gordon was out of the lineup for almost a week earlier this month after getting hit by a pitch on his right wrist, and apparently the injury is still an issue. It is unclear if Gordon will go for further tests on the wrist or if the team is just going to let him rest for 10 days. He will be eligible to return May 31. Shed Long was promoted from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Could return Tuesday
Diaz (hamstring) could return to the lineup Tuesday, David Barron of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Diaz participated in pregame drills. Manager AJ Hinch said Diaz will be back Tuesday "if all goes well." With Jose Altuve (hamstring) nearing a rehab assignment, Diaz could have another four or five games as the starting second baseman, depending on when Altuve's rehab stint starts.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Continues on-base streak
Bogaerts went 3-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and three runs in a 12-2 victory against the Blue Jays on Monday.
The Red Sox shortstop singled twice in the first three innings and then added a solo home run for good measure during the ninth. Bogaerts has reached base in 11 straight games, including in 25 of his last 43 plate appearances. He's batting .285, but this on-base streak has raised his on-base percentage to .380. Bogaerts also has eight home runs, 31 RBI, 34 runs and one steal in 172 at-bats this season.

Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Remains out of lineup
