De La Cruz went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-2 loss to Washington.

De La Cruz's sixth-inning double extended his hit streak to nine games. He later stole his 48th base of the season. After a down May (.208 batting average), De La Cruz has been more consistent, posting averages of .266 in June and .276 in July.

Rojas appears to have avoided a serious injury to his right forearm in Sunday's 9-6 win over the Red Sox, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Rojas left the game following the third inning with right forearm tightness, which he believes is the result of taking one-handed swings with a heavy bat during the All-Star break. Rojas doesn't believe that the injury is anything worrisome, something that manager Dave Roberts echoed following the contest, saying that the infielder won't require an MRI and might be "down a couple days." Rojas is expected to miss Monday's series opener against the Giants, but he can be viewed as day-to-day thereafter.

Rojas exited Sunday's contest against the Red Sox early with right forearm tightness.

Rojas was forced to leave the contest ahead of the top of the fourth inning, finishing his day 0-for-1 at the plate. More information on his status will likely be provided in the near future, but in the meantime, Cavan Biggio replaced Rojas in the Dodgers' lineup versus Boston.

Kim went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Guardians.

Kim reached on a single in the second inning, and he went on to steal a base and score on a Kyle Higashioka double. Kim now has 19 steals this season, and his 57 swipes since the start of 2023 are tied with Nico Hoerner for the seventh most in MLB in that span. Kim has started all but three games at shortstop for the Padres this season. The 28-year-old is just 9-for-45 over his last 14 games but has solid counting stats for the season with 10 homers, 40 RBI and 51 runs scored over 100 games.

Tovar is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

The 22-year-old has started 96 of Colorado's 99 games this season and has multiple hits in each of his past five contests, so it's a bit of a surprise he's on the bench so early after the All-Star break. Aaron Schunk will receive a start at shortstop Sunday in Tovar's absence.

Mastrobuoni is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Mastrobuoni started at third base in each of the Cubs' final five games before the All-Star break as well as Friday's 5-2 loss to Arizona, but he'll hit the bench for the second day in a row to close out the series with the Diamondbacks. The 28-year-old no longer looks slated to get regular playing time moving forward after the Cubs brought Mike Tauchman back from the injured list Friday.

Fitzgerald went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and an RBI double in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rockies.

Fitzgerald has homered in each of his last two games, and he has five RBI over his last four. The utility man has played well in limited action this year, slashing .293/.348/.488 with three homers, seven stolen bases, nine RBI and 15 runs scored across 89 plate appearances. Fitzgerald has mostly been a short-side platoon option, but he'll stay in the lineup at shortstop Sunday versus Rockies right-hander Ryan Feltner, while Brett Wisely slides over to cover second base with Thairo Estrada resting.

Tovar went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Giants.

Tovar singled and scored in his first trip to the plate before adding a two-run shot in the fifth to put Colorado on top 4-2. It marked the shortstop's fifth consecutive multi-hit performance and his third game in a row with at least one home run. Tovar has also hit safely in eight consecutive games, batting .441 (15-for-34) over that stretch with four homers, four doubles, nine RBI and seven runs scored.

Cruz went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.

The young shortstop carried the Pirates' offense, with his two-run homer in the eighth inning off Matt Strahm giving his club some valuable insurance. Cruz has collected multiple hits in three straight games and has driven in at least one run in four straight, and he's slashing .348/.380/.652 through 50 plate appearances in July with five doubles, three homers, a steal, eight runs and 14 RBI. Cruz also has a 2:16 BB:K on the month, but as long as he's crushing the ball when he does make contact, he'll be a valuable fantasy asset.

Wisely isn't in the Giants' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

With left-hander Kyle Freeland set to toe the slab for Colorado, the left-handed bat of Wisely will stay put in San Francisco's dugout. Tyler Fitzgerald will serve as the Giants' shortstop instead, batting ninth.
