Cruz went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Monday's 4-1 win over the Reds.

With Paul Skenes dealing on the mound, Cruz's two-run single in the first inning ended up being the deciding runs. The 25-year-old now has 10 of his 30 RBI for the season over his past nine games. He's been swinging a hot bat since the calendar turned to June, slashing .295/.325/.525 over his last 11 games.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that the expectation is Betts (wrist) will be sidelined 6-to-8 weeks, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

The timeline is a rough estimate, as Roberts noted that much will depend on how Betts' fractured left wrist heals in the coming weeks. If Roberts' suggested timetable holds true, that means Betts will be out at least until late July. Miguel Rojas is expected to be the Dodgers' regular shortstop while Betts is on the shelf.

Ahmed is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

Ahmed had served as the Giants' primary shortstop before landing on the injured list May 10 with a sprained left wrist, but he looks like he'll have to settle for a short-side platoon role now that he's healthy again. Since being activated Friday, the righty-hitting Ahmed has drawn two starts at shortstop -- both against lefties -- while the lefty-hitting Brett Wisely has occupied the position in two straight matchups with righties. Wisely has earned the larger portion of the timeshare at shortstop by slashing .313/.329/.478 over 23 games since being called up from Triple-A Sacramento.

Diamondbacks farm director Shaun Larkin said Monday that Lawlar is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports. Triple-A Reno placed him on its 7-day injured list Monday.

Lawlar suffered the injury while legging out a triple for Reno in Saturday's game against Sacramento. While a Grade 1 strain is the least severe, it's still going to cost the top prospect at least a month of action. Lawlar has played just 11 games this season, having previously missed time following surgery to repair ligament damage in his right thumb.

The Dodgers placed Betts (wrist) on the 10-day injured list Monday.

Betts remains without a clear timeline to return to the Dodgers lineup after fracturing a bone in his left hand/wrist in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Royals, but fantasy managers should prepare for the seven-time All-Star to be out for multiple weeks. The Dodgers recalled outfielder Miguel Vargas from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. Vargas could serve as a short-side platoon player while he's up with the Dodgers, as manager Dave Roberts suggested after Sunday's game that Miguel Rojas will get the first chance to replace Betts' spot in the everyday lineup at shortstop.

Sosa is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.

After Trea Turner was placed on the 10-day injured list May 4, Sosa took over as the Phillies' primary shortstop and slashed an impressive .275/.336/.505 with four home runs, three stolen bases, 22 runs and 17 RBI in 32 games while the two-time All-Star was sidelined. Turner will make his return from the IL on Monday and will immediately step back into his everyday role at shortstop, leaving Sosa without a regular spot in the lineup. Manager Rob Thomson said earlier this month that Sosa could get some reps in the outfield upon Turner's return, but David Dahl, Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos will form the Phillies' outfield trio from left to right Monday. With no path to steady playing time at the moment, Sosa looks to be a drop candidate outside of deeper mixed leagues or NL-only leagues.

The Phillies activated Turner (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday. He'll start at shortstop and bat second in his return to the lineup for Monday's series opener versus the Padres.

Turner rejoins the first-place Phillies following a six-week absence with a strained left hamstring. He didn't go out on a rehab assignment prior to being activated, so it's possible Turner will get some extra off days mixed in as he returns to action. Edmundo Sosa performed well as Turner's main replacement at shortstop and will most likely return to a bench role, though the Phillies have discussed the possibility of getting Sosa some reps in the outfield.

Tovar went 0-for-4 Sunday against the Pirates.

Tovar went hitless for the first time in his last eight starts, and in that span, he hit .393 with three home runs, 10 RBI and six runs scored. That stretch helped him continue to build on an impressive breakout season, as he's hitting .290 with a .809 OPS to go along with 11 homers and four stolen bases across 70 contests.

Cruz went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI on Sunday against the Rockies.

Cruz returned from a two-game absence caused by ankle soreness but showed no ill effects. He has five multi-hit performances across 11 games in June while maintaining a .300 average with eight RBI and eight runs scored.

Alexander started at third base and went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox.

Alexander slotted in at third base for the second time in the last five games, as Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo seeks more production from the hot corner. Eugenio Suarez's season-long slump prompted the manager's decision to give Alexander more starts at third base, a position at which Arizona ranks 29th with a .588 OPS.
