  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Phillies' Trea Turner: Homers in win

Turner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-0 win over Atlanta.

Turner made decent contact in August, going 28-for-112 (.250) over 27 contests for the month, but just eight of those hits went for extra bases. This homer was his fourth over the last 38 games, matching the amount of long balls he hit in the week before the All-Star break. The shortstop is now at a .299/.343/.462 slash line with 15 homers, 48 RBI, 70 runs scored, 14 stolen bases and 20 doubles over 95 contests this season.

  • Ha-seong Kim SS | SD

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Not yet throwing across diamond

Kim (shoulder) is taking live at-bats at San Diego's spring-training complex in Arizona and has also been playing catch, taking grounders and swinging in the batting cage; however, he's not yet throwing across the diamond, per MLB.com.

Kim landed on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation Aug. 20 and is already eligible to be activated. While his ability to engage in a variety of baseball activities is promising, the fact that the Padres have thus far kept Kim from making throws to first base suggests that he still has a major hurdle to clear. Mason McCoy has been getting the majority of the starts at shortstop for San Diego while Kim has been sidelined.

  • Willy Adames SS | MIL

Brewers' Willy Adames: Homers twice in doubleheader

Adames went 3-for-9 with a pair of home runs, three total runs scored and four total RBI in Friday's doubleheader with the Reds.

Adames now has four homers in his last six games and 26 on the season, four shy of a career high. Overall, the shortstop is slashing .254/.337/.461 with 92 RBI, 79 runs scored and 14 stolen bases across 581 plate appearances this year.

Arcia went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs and a walk in Friday's win over the Phillies.

Arcia put Atlanta on the board with a solo shot in the third inning before belting another homer in the sixth. He was stuck in a 10-for-60 (.167) slump over a 17-game span since his last multi-hit performance Aug. 11. Arcia is now slashing .228/.281/.373 with 15 home runs and 41 RBI through 130 games this season.

  • Mason McCoy SS | SD

Padres' Mason McCoy: Taking seat Thursday

McCoy is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in St. Louis, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

McCoy had made seven straight starts at shortstop as the Padres deal with the loss of Ha-Seong Kim (shoulder), but he will begin Thursday's game on the bench. Tyler Wade will get the nod at shortstop for San Diego and will bat ninth.

  • Mookie Betts RF | LAD

Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Remains productive in win

It marked the star utility man's second straight game with a steal, and he's now hit safely in four straight contests. Betts has also been a big run producer for the Dodgers as of late, racking up eight RBI over his last seven games while scoring three runs himself over that stretch. He's batting .276 in August with seven extra-base hits, 12 RBI and eight runs scored.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
