Bogaerts went 1-for-5 with a double and a stolen base in a loss to Houston on Saturday.

Bogaerts put himself in position to score with a double and steal in the second inning, but the Padres stranded him at third. The theft was his 15th of the campaign, tying his career-best mark established in 2017 with Boston. Bogaerts' double also extended his hitting streak to eight games, during which he is slashing .469/.500/.813 with two homers, four RBI, 10 runs and two steals.

Perdomo entered Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Cubs for an injured Ketel Marte (knee), played second base, and walked in his lone plate appearance.

Marte was hit by a pitch in the first inning but stayed in the game until the seventh, when the knee stiffened on him. Perdomo is expected to return to the starting lineup Sunday and could play either middle infield position. Both Marte and shortstop Jordan Lawlar (hand) were hit by pitches and are considered day-to-day heading into the series finale.

Lawlar batted second and was hit by a pitch on a knuckle of his right hand in Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Cubs, Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic reports. He remained in the game but is considered day-to-day.

Lawlar, who was hit by a pitch in the top of the 10th inning, stayed in the game and eventually scored the game-winning run. He also made a nice defensive play in the bottom of the 10th, but the Diamondbacks are awaiting results of imaging conducted following the game before making a determination of his status for the series finale Sunday. The prospect made a third consecutive start since being promoted from Triple-A Reno, and manager Torey Lovullo moved him up in the batting order against a left-hander. Lawlar batted eighth in his first two starts, which came against right-handers. He has one hit in 11 at-bats and has struck out six times over 12 plate appearances.

Winn went 0-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Winn reached on a fielder's choice and notched his second major-league steal in the fourth inning. It's been a rough adjustment to the majors for the rookie shortstop, who has gone 3-for-23 (.130) over six games in September. He's batting .156 with one home run, four RBI and six runs scored through his first 18 contests. While Winn is seeing a majority of the playing time at shortstop, Tommy Edman has occasionally filled in there as well.

Edman went 3-for-4 in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Edman has hit safely in 12 of his last 14 games, going 16-for-49 (.327) in that span. The utility man has also shown little hesitation on the bases with seven steals over that span. Edman is seeing regular playing time between second base, shortstop and center field. He's at a .251/.314/.416 slash line with 12 home runs, 24 steals, 45 RBI and 62 runs scored across 119 contests.

Williams isn't in the Pirates' lineup Saturday against Atlanta, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Williams will get a breather Saturday after going 2-for-5 with three strikeouts across his last two games. Liover Peguero will slide to shortstop while Williams is out, allowing Jared Triolo to start at second base and bat eighth.

Wendle isn't in the Marlins' lineup Saturday against Philadelphia, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Wendle will get a day off after going 3-for-16 with a homer, four RBI and three runs scored across seven games to begin September. Garrett Hampson will instead start at shortstop and bat seventh.

Rojas isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Saturday against the Nationals, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Rojas will take a seat Saturday after beginning September 7-for-25 with an RBI and four runs scored across seven games. Enrique Hernandez will fill in at shortstop and bat seventh while Rojas rests.

Perdomo isn't in Arizona's lineup Saturday against the Cubs.

Perdomo will take a seat Saturday with southpaw Justin Steele on the mound for Chicago. Emmanuel Rivera will fill in at the hot corner and bat eighth while Perdomo rests.

Abrams went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 8-5 loss to the Dodgers.

He helped chase Emmet Sheehan from the game by taking the right-hander deep in the fifth inning. Abrams has slowed down since his blistering July, slashing .221/.264/.389 since the calendar flipped to August, but the 22-year-old shortstop has still put together a breakout campaign with 16 homers, 41 steals, 54 RBI and 70 runs in 131 games.
