Crawford (knee) was cleared to begin a running program Monday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Crawford has already been spotted taking part in infield work, and this is another positive sign. However, the team has yet to comment on when he could go out on a rehab assignment.

Berti (groin) hit in the cage and ran recently, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com
Berti has been on the injured list with a left groin strain since July 15, but it's encouraging to see him resume baseball activities. It's not yet clear when the 32-year-old will be able to rejoin the Marlins or whether he'll require a rehab assignment at some point.

Wendle isn't starting Monday's game against Cincinnati, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Wendle started the first four games after the All-Star break and went 7-for-18 with a double, two RBI, a run, two stolen bases and a strikeout. Willians Astudillo is starting at second base while Luke Williams takes over at the hot corner Monday.

Cruz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss against Miami.
Cruz led off the scoring with a solo home run off Sandy Alcantara in the third inning. It was his fifth home run since being called up on June 20. Cruz has started to heat up as he is on a four-game hit streak. One major issue for the young star is that he also has eight strikeouts in those four games and has a 36.6% strikeout rate for the season. He is slashing .208/.241/.415 for Pittsburgh in 28 games this year.

Padres' CJ Abrams: Sitting again Sunday
Abrams (biceps) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Abrams was scratched from Saturday's lineup with right biceps soreness and will remain on the bench Sunday. The 21-year-old didn't throw during the All-Star break before playing in Friday's game, and the injury remains bothersome.

Turner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Giants.
Turner went back-to-back with Mookie Betts in the third inning as the Dodgers established their lead. This extended Turner's hitting streak to 10 games, a span in which he's gone 15-for-43 (.349) with four long balls, 10 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base. The surge has him up to a .306/.352/.497 slash line, 15 homers, 69 RBI, 56 runs scored and 17 steals through 93 contests.

Abrams was removed from Saturday's lineup against the Mets due to biceps soreness, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
Abrams didn't throw over the All-Star break prior to throwing during Friday's matchup, so he'll be held out Saturday as a precautionary measure. He should be considered day-to-day ahead of Sunday's series finale.
