Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Returns to lineup
Rojas (shoulder) is starting Wednesday's game against the Mets, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Rojas missed Tuesday's game after he exited Sunday's contest due to left trapezius soreness. However, he'll start at shortstop and lead off in Wednesday's matchup.

Ehire Adrianza 3B | LAA
Braves' Ehire Adrianza: Returns to full-time bench role
Adrianza remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
Adrianza made a pair of starts at the keystone to kick off Atlanta's September slate, but he'll be on the bench Wednesday for the fifth game in a row now that everyday second baseman Ozzie Albies has moved past his recent knee injury. With Atlanta locked in a tight battle with the Phillies and Mets for the National League East crown, Adrianza's opportunities are expected to be scarce while manager Brian Snitker continues to lean heavily on his everyday players for the final three weeks of the season.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Drops to seventh in order
Swanson will start at shortstop and bat seventh Wednesday against the Nationals.
Despite going 2-for-4 with a pair of runs in Tuesday's 8-5 win to end a 1-for-20 skid at the plate, Swanson will remain in a bottom-third spot in the order for a third straight game. Swanson had been batting out of the No. 6 spot to close out August, but both Adam Duvall and Travis d'Arnaud have since moved ahead of him in the lineup.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: Three hits in win
Crawford went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Rockies.
The shortstop drove in Buster Posey with a single in the first inning and later collected two more hits, including a double. He has now collected multiple hits in three of his last four games, batting .471 with three doubles and three RBI.

Luke Williams SS | ATL
Phillies' Luke Williams: Starts rehab assignment
Williams (illness) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Williams has been out since testing positive for COVID-19 in late August. He shouldn't need too many rehab games given his relatively brief absence, though the Phillies haven't said exactly when he's expected back.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Not starting Tuesday
Story is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Giants.
Story started the past 10 games after recovering from a leg injury and will receive a day off after posting a 1.047 OPS during that stretch. Brendan Rodgers and Garrett Hampson will work in the middle infield while Sam Hilliard starts in center field.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Expected back Wednesday
Rojas (shoulder) won't start Tuesday's game against the Mets but is expected to return to the lineup Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Rojas left Sunday's game against the Phillies with a sore left trapezius. Monday's scheduled off day evidently wasn't quite enough time for him to heal, but the Marlins don't appear to be concerned about any long-term absence.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Laces another two-bagger
Edman went 2-for-4 with a run in a loss to the Dodgers on Monday.
There was precious little meaningful contact to go around for the Cardinals on Monday with Max Scherzer on the hill, but Edman still managed to lace his 37th double for one of the team's six hits against the dominant right-hander. Edman extended his hitting streak to six games with his productive afternoon, part of a month-plus tear at the plate that's seen him produce a .305 average, .862 OPS and 17 extra-base hits (13 doubles, four home runs) over the 32 games he's played since Aug. 1.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Hits two-run bomb
Story went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the loss Monday against the Giants.
The 29-year-old took reliever Caleb Baragar deep for a two-run shot in the eighth inning, driving in teammate Brendan Rodgers in the process. The shortstop has been hot recently, hitting .313 with three home runs and six RBI over his last nine games. He is now up to 19 homers on the year.

Brandon Crawford SS | STL
Giants' Brandon Crawford: On base three times
Crawford went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs, an RBI, a walk and a caught stealing in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers.
Crawford walked and scored in the second inning, doubled home a run and scored in the third and singled and was caught stealing in the fifth to reach base three times in consecutive games. After slumping with just two hits over seven prior games, the veteran shortstop has now gone 5-for-8 in his last two.
