  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Connects on eighth homer

Seager went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Saturday's 6-1 triumph over San Francisco.

Seager brought a run home with his first-inning sacrifice fly and later provided an insurance run with a solo blast in the ninth. After hitting four home runs in April, Seager now has another four since Aug. 10 to give him eight on the season. He is slashing an excellent .282/.372/.466 despite the lack of power, part of which can be attributed to injuries limiting him to only 260 at-bats this season.

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Dodgers' Trea Turner: Launches 21st homer

Turner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in a 6-1 victory over the Giants on Saturday.

Turner ignited a three-run first inning with a leadoff home run against San Francisco starter Jay Jackson but failed to produce in his other three at-bats. He's now strung together an 11-game hitting streak, though he has a single hit in all but one of those contests and is batting 13-for-43 with two doubles and long balls apiece during the streak.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Brewers' Willy Adames: Aggravates quad injury

Adames aggravated his quadriceps injury in Saturday's win over the Cardinals, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

Adames went 3-for-3 to begin Saturday's game, but he was replaced defensively in the top of the seventh inning. Manager Craig Counsell said after the contest that the shortstop will be re-evaluated Sunday to determine the extent of his injury.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Resting Saturday

Crawford will hit the bench Saturday against the Dodgers.

Crawford will rest after starting 18 of the Giants' last 19 games. He'd got cold at the plate recently, grabbing just two hits over a seven-game stretch, but he appeared to be snapping out of the slump with a three-hit performance Friday. Mauricio Dubon will take over at shortstop.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Not starting night game

Lindor will sit for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Washington, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Lindor looked great in the first game of the day, going 3-for-4 with a homer, four RBI and a pair of runs scored. He won't be asked to play two games in one day, with Jonathan Villar taking over at shortstop.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Mets' Javier Baez: On bench for nightcap

Baez will be on the bench for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Nationals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Baez went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and a pair of runs in the afternoon contest, but he won't be asked to start twice in one day. Luis Guillorme will take over at second base.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Records four hits

Seager went 4-for-5 with a double and a strikeout in a 3-2 loss to San Francisco on Friday.

In a low-scoring game without much offense, Seager was responsible for half of Los Angeles' hits as the rest of the team went a combined 4-for-34. It was the shortstop's first multi-hit game in over two weeks, dating back to Aug. 18, and snaps a recent 5-for-25 skid over his last eight games. Since returning from injury July 30, Seager is slashing .300/.383/.482 with 17 runs and 14 RBI in 31 games.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Knocks three hits

Crawford went 3-for-5 with an RBI in Friday's 3-2 win against the Dodgers.

Crawford singled in the second inning, doubled in the eighth and singled in the tenth to tie the game at 2-2. The shortstop's three hits equal his total from his last eight games, a stretch in which Crawford went 3-for-28, as he remains a key cog on a strong Giants team.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Perfect day at plate

Rojas went 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Friday's 10-3 win over the Phillies.

Rojas drew a walk and scored on Jesus Sanchez's three-run homer in the first inning. He later singled twice and drove in three runs during the Marlins' seven-run sixth inning. Over the last two games, he's gone 5-for-7 with four RBI and four runs scored. Rojas improved his season slash line to .274/.334/.411 through 455 plate appearances.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Goes yard Thursday

Rojas went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Mets.

Rojas got the Marlins off to a quick start in this one, taking Carlos Carrasco deep to lead off the game. It was the eighth homer of the year for Rojas, who also singled to snap out of a 3-for-23 (.130) funk over his previous seven contests. Rojas is slashing .269/.328/.407 on the year with 36 RBI and 12 stolen bases (in 14 attempts) over 451 plate appearances.
