Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Plates pair in return
Rojas (hand) went 2-for-3 with a two-RBI double and a run scored in Sunday's 8-1 win over the Phillies in Game 2 of their doubleheader.
Rojas was not in the lineup for the first game of the twin bill, but he made an impact in the nightcap. Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Out Game 1
Rojas (hand) is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Phillies, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
The 31-year-old injured his hand during Saturday's contest and had X-rays come back negative, but he'll miss at least one game as a result. It's unclear if Rojas will be available for either of Sunday's games. Jazz Chisholm will shift to shortstop while Isan Diaz starts at second base in the matinee.

Nick Ahmed SS | TEX
Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Bats second in loss
Ahmed went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Mariners.
Ahmed, who has primarily batted in the lower third of the order, hit out of the two-hole for the second time in four games. As the Diamondbacks infuse the lineup with prospects and less-proven talent, Ahmed will be given a slot higher in the batting order among the team's best hitters. The shortstop has seven hits in his last 15 at-bats.

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: X-rays return negative
Rojas had X-rays on his hand come back negative after exiting Saturday's loss to the Phillies, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Rojas was lifted for a pinch hitter during the seventh inning, and it's unclear how he sustained the injury, though it doesn't appear to be serious. Jazz Chisholm and Isan Diaz would likely work at shortstop and second base should Rojas be forced to miss time.

Cubs' Javier Baez: Gets rare day off
Baez is not in the lineup for Friday's game in Milwaukee.

Reginald Preciado SS | CHC
Padres' Reggie Preciado: Joins 60-man roster
Preciado was added to the Padres' player pool Tuesday.
The Panamanian-born infielder signed with the Padres last July but was withheld from minor-league action. He's extremely raw and still only 17 years of age, so his addition to the player pool is purely for developmental reasons at the team's alternate training site.
