Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Hoping for brief stay on IL
Swanson (foot) is hoping to return from the injured list when first eligible Aug. 3, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Swanson is currently on the injured list with a right foot contusion, but it doesn't sound like his stay on the shelf will be an extended one. As of now, the Braves don't anticipate Swanson needing more than the minimum 10 days to recover.

Braves' Dansby Swanson: Lands on IL
Swanson was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right foot contusion.
The injury was previously reported to be heel soreness, but the club is labeling it as a bruised foot. It sounds like a situation where Swanson just needs some time to rest and recover. Johan Camargo should slot in as the everyday shortstop in the short term.

Braves' Dansby Swanson: Still out Friday
Swanson (heel) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Phillies.
Swanson was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to heel soreness and will require at least one more day to rest up. Johan Camargo will start at shortstop at bat seventh Friday in his absence.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Day off Friday
Edman is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Astros.
Edman started seven of the last eight games but will take a seat Friday after posting a .744 OPS in that stretch. Yairo Munoz will start at the hot corner and bat leadoff in his stead.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Rare day off Friday
Story is out of the lineup for Friday's game at Cincinnati.
Story started all 19 previous games in July and has an .871 OPS with five home runs in 76 at-bats, but he'll receive a breather for Friday's series opener. Garrett Hampson will start at shortstop and bat seventh in his absence.

Johan Camargo SS | SF
Braves' Johan Camargo: Gets rare start Wednesday
Camargo got the start at shortstop and hit seventh during Wednesday's loss to the Royals, going 0-for-3.
The 25-year-old utility player has gotten only two starts in 12 games since the All-Star break, and his .639 OPS on the year isn't making a strong case for a larger role. Camargo would likely need an injury somewhere on the Atlanta infield to be worth fantasy consideration even in deeper formats.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Blasts three homers
DeJong went 4-for-4 with three home runs, a double, five RBI and four runs in a 14-8 victory against the Pirates on Wednesday.
The third homer he hit came against a position player, but DeJong was just mashing everything that was in the strike zone Wednesday. This was his second four-hit game of the season, but the first time he went 4-for-4 and the first three-homer game of his career. DeJong is hitting .258 with 18 home runs, 49 RBI, 68 runs and six steals in 376 at-bats this season.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Cubs' Javier Baez: Smacks 25th homer
Baez went 2-for-5 with a double, a solo home run and two runs scored Wednesday against the Giants.
Baez saw the ball well out of Tyler Beede's hand Wednesday, cranking his 25th homer of the season in the first inning. He followed that up with his 27th double of the campaign two innings later, coming around to score on a Kris Bryant home run. Baez has found different ways to be productive of late, as he swiped two bases Tuesday prior to showcasing his power Wednesday. For the season, he's posted a .290/321/.554 line across 430 plate appearances.

Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Back in starting lineup
Rojas (shoulder) is back in the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox.
Rojas hadn't started a game since leaving Saturday against the Dodgers due to a shoulder strain. He'll return to his regular role Wednesday, leading off and playing shortstop.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Braves' Dansby Swanson: Scratched with heel issue
Swanson was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals due to a heel issue, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Swanson injured his heel during Tuesday's contest but did not leave the game. The injury is considered minor, and the Braves have a day off Thursday, so there's a good chance he's back in action Friday in Philadelphia.
