  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Smacks 11th homer in win

DeJong went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Royals on Friday.

DeJong's bat is starting to pick up a little steam, with Friday serving as the eighth straight game in which he's reached safely. The shortstop could also be rediscovering his power stroke after an extended drought, as he's homered in two of his last three games. Factoring in Friday's production, he's racked up five RBI over his last three contests, and his overall August total of six leaves him just one short of the amount he compiled during all of July.

  • Braves' Johan Camargo: Four hits in win over Brewers

Camargo went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 10-1 win over the Brewers.

The 24-year-old continues to impress at the plate, and Camargo is now slashing .310/.347/.563 with four homers, 12 runs and 13 RBI in 19 games since the All-Star break. Even in shallow fantasy formats, his current form should earn him a consistent spot in the lineup.

  • J.P. Crawford SS | SEA

Phillies' J.P. Crawford: Reinstated from disabled list

Crawford (hand) was activated from the 10-day DL on Friday.

Crawford will be available for this weekend's three-game set in San Diego after spending the past seven weeks on the shelf with a fractured left hand. With the addition of Asdrubal Cabrera near the trade deadline, it remains to be seen what kind of role Crawford will have, though it's likely that he will be utilized as a reserve infielder moving forward. During 34 games this year, he's hit just .194/.312/.333 with two home runs, eight RBI and two stolen bases.

  • Giants' Chase d'Arnaud: Held out Thursday

D'Arnaud (knee) is not in Thursday's starting nine against the Pirates.

D'Arnaud has been hampered by a knee bruise suffered Tuesday against Houston after fouling a ball off his knee. Given the nature of the injury, he isn't expected to remain out for long, and he should slot into the lineup sometime over the weekend either at second or third base.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Drives in a pair during win

DeJong went 1-for-4 with a two-run double in a win over the Marlins on Wednesday.

DeJong enjoyed his time against Marlins pitching over the last three games, going 4-for-11 with two doubles, a home run, four RBI and two runs during the three-game set. The shortstop is looking to get his bat back on track after a .217 tally in July dropped his season average 17 points to .244.

  • Braves' Johan Camargo: Out of Thursday's lineup

Camargo is not in the lineup versus Washington on Thursday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Camargo will receive a breather for the first time since the All-Star break as Charlie Culberson gets the nod at third base during the series finale. Dating back to the start of the second half, Camargo is hitting .277/.319/.523 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 17 games.

  • Orlando Arcia SS | MIN

Brewers' Orlando Arcia: Three hits, homer in win

Arcia went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Padres.

Arcia deposited a solo shot to center in the fifth inning for his third homer of the season, giving the Brewers a six-run lead in the process. The 24-year-old has struggled mightily for much of the year -- he's hitting just .210 -- but he's gotten off to a strong start in August. In 13 at-bats in the month, Arcia is hitting .462 with a pair of extra-base hits and a stolen base.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Braves' Dansby Swanson: On bench against Nationals

Swanson is out of the starting lineup against Washington on Wednesday.

Swanson will receive a breather after going 0-for-7 with four strikeouts during Tuesday's twin bill. Johan Camargo will start at shortstop while Charlie Culberson draws the assignment at third base for Wednesday's tilt.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

Cardinals' Paul DeJong: Launches two-run blast in win

DeJong went 2-for-4 with a double and a two-run home run in a win over the Marlins on Tuesday.

It was a night of hard contact for DeJong, whose 370-foot shot with Jedd Gyorko aboard in the seventh erased a 2-0 deficit. DeJong has been in the midst of an atypical power drought over the last three months, a span that also includes a significant absence due to thumb surgery. Prior to Tuesday's round tripper, the 25-year-old had left the yard just once in the 31 games he'd played since May 12, but he certainly has the pop in his bat to make up ground in a hurry moving forward.

  • Nick Ahmed SS | TEX

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Not in Wednesday's lineup

Ahmed is out of the lineup against Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Ahmed will head to the bench after going 0-for-4 during Tuesday's loss. In his stead, Ketel Marte will start at shortstop while Daniel Descalso gets the nod at second base.
