DeJong went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday's 8-1 win over the Nationals.

The rookie continues to impress, with Friday's home run extending his hitting streak to nine games. That stretch includes three homers and helped him finish June with 14 RBI. With Aledmys Diaz having been sent down to Triple-A Memphis, DeJong figures to have an extended opportunity to continue solidifying his standing with the big-league club over the next few weeks at a minimum.

Seager is not in the lineup for Friday's game, J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.

Seager returned to action from a hamstring injury Thursday after missing the previous five contests. He will get another day off to rest following an 0-for-4 performance that included two strikeouts. Enrique Hernandez takes over at short Friday, but Seager is likely to be back in the lineup Saturday.

Arcia is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Miami.

With Jonathan Villar returning from a back injury and playing well (two home runs during Thursday's contest), the Brewers can afford to give Arcia an off day. This marks the first game the shortstop will take a seat on the bench since June 5, as Eric Sogard slides over to man his spot while Villar covers second.

D'Arnaud was reinstated from the paternity list Friday, Dennis Lin of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

D'Arnaud was absent for the Padres' series against Atlanta this week as he attended to the birth of his child, but returns in time for the weekend series with the Dodgers. The 30-year-old has seen limited action as a reserve bat this season and hasn't been impressive when he has played, hitting only .200 over 55 at-bats.

Turner (wrist) was put on the 10-day disabled list Friday, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.

In the least surprising move of the day, the Nationals placed their star shortstop on the DL after he fractured his right wrist during Thursday's game. Adrian Sanchez was called up from Triple-A Syracuse in his place while Sammy Solis (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day DL to provide a 40-man roster spot. There is still no timetable for Turner's return.

Cordoba (hand) went 0-for-3 with a walk in his return to the lineup Thursday against the Braves.

He had been out of the lineup since being hit on the hand by a pitch Sunday, but was able to pinch-hit two separate times earlier in the series against the Braves before officially drawing back in Thursday. It had been a tough month for Cordoba as he entered Thursday with a .157/.214/.216 slash line in 51 June at-bats. Provided that his hand is no longer bothering him, Cordoba should resume his regular role as a utility infielder and outfielder.

Turner has been diagnosed with a broken right wrist and there is no timetable for his return, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.

This is crushing news for the Nationals as Turner had been a key cog in the top third of the lineup and a game-changer on the basepaths. He suffered the injury late in Thursday's game when he was plunked on the wrist by a pitch and was sent for X-rays directly after the game. There's no timetable for him at this point, but this is an injury that could keep Turner on the shelf for a while. Stephen Drew and Wilmer Difo stand to platoon at shortstop in Turner's absence unless the Nationals opt to look outside the organization for other shortstop options.

Turner is being sent in for X-rays on his right wrist, MASN's Dan Kolko reports.

The results are set to be released later, but this is a concerning development regardless. Turner was hit by a pitch in the seventh inning of Thursday's loss to the Cubs but was able to stay in the game until the top of the ninth before being replaced by Stephen Drew. More updates on Turner's status figure to be made available late Thursday or early Friday.

There has been no word of any injury at this point, but Turner was hit on the wrist by a pitch in the seventh inning, so there's a possibility that had something to do with his early removal. The move could have simply been precautionary, but more should be known following the conclusion of Thursday's contest.

Seager (hamstring) is starting at shortstop and batting second Thursday against the Angels, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Seager is good to go for Thursday's series finale after missing the previous five games with a Grade 1 hamstring strain. The 22-year-old, who is slashing .298/.403/.506 with 12 homers in 73 games this season, will face JC Ramirez in his return to the starting lineup.
